my brother died recently leaving no will. He was 43 years old , and had a credit union account with about 1500 and a few debit cards that were prepaid with 500 or more on them. I was sent all of his belongings with his cards from the medical examiners office. From what i understand prepaid cards do not ask for beneficaries, so is this something that has to go through a probate court? And if no one takes it to probate, then what becomes of money on prepaid cards? I sent a letter to the cardholders services who said i had to have a will to send them or get a lawyer, i wont fight for the money, but my main question is , do the companies profit off of situations like this where they get to keep the money? The cardholder services was very vague about the situation. any help would be appreciated. thank you

i have bought a 32 inch hd television and my cable company is set up for that, my question is, all of the channels through my company shows only part of the program, like it would be a 25 inch or less? i can't find any settings on my tv to change this, what am i missing? my cable company says its the tv not them?

i had to buy a new laptop adaptor for my laptop, and the one i got works for my laptop but is a universal i guess, its the right volts and stuff, but it gets really hot, the one i had did to, but i dont think it got as hot as the new one, ?

Does anyone know anything about the hiring process for air marshalls? I have a friend that said he was interviewed a few months ago, and went to the interview wearing jeans and flipflops, saying he was suppose to dress like that for the interview, and that they offered him the job, (april) and that he had till august to confirm his decision due to thats when the training started, and he would be gone for several weeks starting october and its in virgenia.... does this sound credible? also he said they did his drug test in april, why then ? thanks! i think my friend is a pathological liar!

i have a gateway laptop that today i had it charging, or at least i thought it was, but the laptop powered off saying connect charger, i re-connected it, with nothing still working, i can take the battery out and the power light turns on red ( battery needs charging) but when i put the charger on with the battery out, nothing happens... any help please? does anyone know where i can find the ac adapter its model number is pa 1650 thanks!

i have a friend that was involved in a car accident a few years ago in which they hit an animal and rolled down a hill and the airbag failed to deploy. They received several thousands of dollars worth of cosmetic surgery , and said they are suing the car company for a couple million dollars. Is this believable?

i have a honda shadow spirit 750. I bought it with vance and hines straight pipes on it. I was told that something had to be done to it after the pipes were put on it or it could burn up the motor if the fuel was too rich running through? Any help? it has a choke on it if that helps to know and it runs good but it sounds like its missing but its due to the pipes... any advice? and how do i know if it was done, something to the carburetor ? its suppose to be something like calibrated.

my ipod quit working after i dropped it. ( It wasn't dropped hard and has a rubber shock think around it. It just wouldnt' turn on anymore. Is there anything i can do? i have rebooted it, and it doesnt work. It sounded like it would turn on but doesn't. Do you have to replace the battery in those? and how much and where can i get one from? or pitch it and buy a new one?

my cat refuses to urinate in the litter box, she used to but wont anymore and pees on the carpet. She sometimes will even urinate by her food bowl. I have another cat who never makes a mess, and have tried two litter boxes and the other cat just will not go in it...any advice?
