I’m divorced, 31 & single. I live alone w/ my 4 children & 2 cats. I work part-time in a non-profit agency, & I’m a full-time student. My interests include good music, novels, movies & interesting conversation. I’m also a gamer. I’ve taken a liking to certain games my children enjoy as well, like the online Neopet site, and Pokemon. It keeps our family connected and involved with each other. I’m also a Harry Potter fan, more the books than the movies.

  • How much can this pyramid support, in pounds.?

Suppose you have a bunch of wooden beds. They each weigh 200 pounds and they are arranged in a pyramid. The base layer is 5 beds by 5 beds, the layer above is 4 beds by 4 beds, and so on until the top layer of one bed. They are arranged in such a way that each bed is resting on four beds below it with one leg on each of the four beds. If the weight on each bed is always equally distributed to all four legs, and each bed leg can only support 200 pounds, how many pounds can you place on top of the topmost bed?

  • Name Suggestions?

I'm looking for middle name suggestions for the following first names: Megara and Selene

I don't know if background information helps, but I'll give it anyway.

Megara has a Greek origin; she was one of the three Furies (the Jealous), she was also Hercules' wife. The name also means sit in African.

Selene also has a Greek origin; she was the Goddess of the Moon. She was part of the Triple Goddess, which also includes Artemis. In Roman Mythology she is called Luna.

  • Can you figure out help me solve this?

On the town’s first New Year's Eve, some of the citizens planted a pine tree in the nearby woods to commemorate the first New Year's celebration. The tree was just a sapling; the trunk was cone-shaped, and its circumference at the base was 14 cm and its height was 124 cm. Every year since then, its height has increased 45% over the previous year, and its circumference has increased 22%.

They are now entering their 10th year in their current location. If the density of the wood is 530 kilogrammes per cubic metre, how many kilogrammes did the tree's trunk weigh this past New Year's Eve? Please round to the nearest whole number.

  • Calling All Homeschoolers?

My son isn't well enough to go to public school everyday after just having a Bi-lateral Craniotomy. I've been home from work w/him since his surgery & since that time he has caught a virus & contracted a sinus infection which he is still on antibiotics for. Of course the school is giving me a hard time about his irregular attendance, so I have set up a meeting w/the school & his regular dr. for Oct 3rd.

In the meantime, I have decided to homeschool him, because he has already missed 2wks of school due to this illness & because of his recovery. I want to make sure that I'm going about this the right way. So if there is anyone who can offer any advice, I would really appreciate it. I want to make sure I order the right books, etc.

First and foremost in my mind is my son's health & that he recovers properly from this surgery, however I also want him to go forth with his education and not to be delayed or fall behind.

    Any assistance is appreciated.

  • Advance Directives for a Minor Child ...?

Does anyone have or know where I could locate a decent blank format for a Living Will and a Durable Power of Attorney for a 13 year old. I live in Vermont (USA).

***My son is having brain surgery on the 30th and I would like for him to be able to, at the very least, fill out his wishes and have them on file with the doctors before he goes under.
