  • Lyrics something like "those long black days, black days ?

It was a alternative type, Seattle grunge type band/singer in the 80's, with a distinctive deep voice. I remember a video of the song. Can't remember the band/artist. I've tried Pearl Jam, Nine Inch Nails, Nirvana without success. Please help!

  • What is the best, safest way to tour Chicago's Chinatown?

I would maybe like to hook up with a bus tour that would arrange a walking tour and an evening dinner in chinatown. For myself and my 15 yr. old son. We would already be in the city touring museums during the day, but staying at an Oakpark B&B. We are using public transportation and walking. I will google chinatown bus tours of course. I guess I was just looking for people with Chinatown experience, your stories...

  • Have you been to Tommyguns garage dinner theatre?

I'm pretty sure it's on Wabash Ave. I came across their website, and it looks fun. It is a dinner theatre type bar/resturant in a roaring 20's/gangster theme. It is a $55 ticket for show and dinner. Anybody been there, is it worth it? I'm going with my 15 yr. old son too, who does like history. What about that neighborhood at night? We would be walking to the nearest El station afterward and traveling back to our Oakpark B&B.

  • Oakpark B&B, then take EL into city, what do you think?

I found a reasonably priced B&B in Oakpark, just a few blocks from the EL (I don't remember the line). My 15 yr. old son and I want to use it as our base to then travel into the city for museums and such, for 3 days. We would be walking back from the El station to the Oakpark B&B, maybe after dark. Does this sound OK?

  • Any experience using the gochicago card?

It gives admission to museums and attractions with just the swipe of a card, no need to use money. I was a little unhappy with the limit of use being before 5:30 pm. I've purchased 2 adult 3 day cards, which I will use in June. It sure seems like a good idea and good deal. But, I was hoping to hear from those who had used it.

  • I Need help understanding Macro Lens for digital photography pictures of teeth, what to buy.?

At our dental office we are just starting to look for a digital camera to take very close pictures of teeth. The problem is we are all amatures at photography or digital cameras. I said we need a macro lens to do this. Some else said we need zoom capability, I don't think that is right.

I suggested we need a digital SLR like a nikon rebel, of course with a flash too. Does it need to be a "ring" flash?

I know nikon rebels are $800 and up, and the macro lens would be a separate expense too, right?

Some else at the office was hoping we could do this with a much cheaper camera, I said "in your dreams"!

    Please advise...

  • Please make this go away... 16 bit windows subsystem message problem?

When I log on my computer I get this message every time for the past few months. "16 bit windows subsystem - An application has attempted to directly access the hard disk, which cannot be supported. This may cause the application to function incorrectly, chose close to terminate the application." Then it gives two choices "close" or "ignore". I've clicked on both choices at different times with no difference in effect. I obviously don't understand what is causing this and how to stop it. This is an older Compaq Presario 344mhz? 10 gig 128RAM Windows XP Professional Operating System. It is quite slow, I'm on dial up. I plan on replacing it soon. I have a routine weekly schedual to run updates from Microsoft, AVG Free Edition virus protection, AdAware6 free edition, I'm not sure if this is successful? I recently purchased and ran RegCure, it found thousands of things to fix, things do run a little faster now. However, this 16 bit windows subsystem message continues.
