I started wearing socks outside when I was about 8 years old. I am now 52 and I now go out in my socks more frequently than I do wearing shoes.

I go to everywhere including malls, home improvement centers, restaurants (not just fast-food but nice restaurants) the cinema, riding my bike around town and now I've even gone to a few doctor appointments in my socks. It's not like I can hide my feet since I'm always wearing a shirt, shorts and white socks. I think it keeps me feeling young especially since your age really is just a number.

So what do you think, am I too old? I don't think so. What do you think vette7884?

I have been going shoeless for years and I love it! I wear socks in stores, restaurants, etc. There have been many similar questions on this site asking people if they wear socks outside. Some people respond by saying they would either get fined or arrested if they went out in socks. So my question is: Is it against the law to wear socks (without shoes) in a public place where you live? I live in Southern California. I've spent the entire day walking around places like Laguna or Newport Beach in just my socks. I never had any negative reactions from anyone. How about you? By the way, buy quality socks like wigwam volleys and they won't wear out, they just get kind of dirty, but that's part of the fun.

Before you judge it, you should try it. If you're careful, you won't ruin your socks, they will just get a little dirty.

There seems to be a lot of people that enjoy wearing socks outside and I'm one of them.

Do you think it's only for kids? What about adults?

I started wearing my socks in public places when I was a kid which was a long time ago. I still love to do it.

How old is too old?

Places such as the grocery store or if your a college student, do you like to walk around campus in socks? Attend classes in socks ? Ride a bike in socks? Anywhere in socks?

Say if you wanted to go to school/college classes in your socks or the mall...anywhere.

I occassionally go grocery shopping in my socks and sometimes attend my college classes in socks. No one seems to mind. Any comments that anyone has made were usually positive.
