I purchased this commemorative coin on yesterday and would like to know what it would be graded. It has about 75 % of its mint luster present and looks in my opinion proof-like. All of the lines on the sails are present, also the hair has much more detail than the scan shows.

1 AnswerHobbies & Crafts1 decade agoNGC Morgan Dollar?
I have a few questions. I went to a coin shop and found two coins. Both are graded AU by NGC.
The first coin is a AU 1884 Morgan dollar graded by NGC it is on sale for $55
The second coin is a AU 1890 Morgan dollar graded by NGC (personally I think this coin could easily be graded MS-60, quite a bit of mint luster present) it is on sale for $65.
Which coin should I purchase?

Hello, I went to the bank today and got a roll of Presidential dollars, and found this error. I believe that it is missing its clad layer on the reverse. I have scanned a regular coin and this one, to compare. Does it look like an error?

3 AnswersHobbies & Crafts1 decade agoIndian Head Cent?
I was looking at some of my Indian Head Cents today and noticed that the coin looked just a bit off center although I may be wrong. Just by looking at the coin it appears quite obvious that the left rim of the coin looks a bit wider than the right. Sorry about the scans they aren't very clear, does it look off center?
3 AnswersHobbies & Crafts1 decade agoWashington Dollar Error?
I found this 2007p Washington dollar and was wondering if it is a mint error? I found a site that referred to this coin as a starburst like ray effect error. They called it a "Lamination Error". Is it a mint error? does it have any value.
2 AnswersHobbies & Crafts1 decade agoMorgan Dollar?
what you would grade this coin. The contact marks on the front of the coin cannot be seen just by looking at the coin unless your closeup as in the scan. This coin still has a good bit of mint shine present. I have read that 1880-o is a semi-key date is this true.
