  • is my bungalow going to calasp?

I have just found a couple of bricks that have crumbled and fallen out of an outside bottom wall on my bungalow. There isn't a hole or anything it appears that the top layer of the bricks are corroded and have fallen out. How dangerous is this and will it need a immediate attention and will it be expensive?

  • I'm devastated, my eucalyptus looks dead?

It was huge. I had pruned th lower part so it was a tree. I think the frost may have killed it off. The leaves are powdery and brittle and are falling, and when i break a branch off there is no green whatsoever. Is there anyway this can be saved. It's been in the ground for 3 years, and i loved it.

  • Beware of pet insurance, could be a con. Won't pay out for old cats.?

I have had pet insurance for all of my cats and in 16 years have never claimed. my oldest cat is 14 and as expected the rate goes up each year because of his age. I recently had to take him to the vet as his teeth were troubling him. It cost me £236. I put a claim into the insurance only to be told it didn't cover teeth as they were the most likely to be infected. OK, i was annoyed but continued with the insurance.

A couple of weeks later he had a lot of bother with his ears and i had to take him to the vet 3 times in all. This time the insurer told me they didn't cover cats over 8 years old for ears or teeth. Cost me £93 this time.

Now i know he is starting to suffer a lot with his kidneys, drinking a lot of water, not eating etc. I phoned the insurer again and was told no dice because he his over 8.

So they increase the premiums every year but refused treatment for old age problems.

What a con. I won't be able to get him fixed because it will cost hundreds and will not cure him anyway just postpone the inevitable. And beforr anybody gets offensive we are senior citizens and just haven't got the money

  • would you insist on a refund or replacement for this?

I bought an INDESIT washing machine in Nov. First time of using it wouldn't empty. Had to try and do it manually, such hard work and annoying, got myself and the floor soaked. John Lewis replaced it they were very good but had to wait a week for a "time slot ".Now the same thing has happened to this one and i don't want it repaired as i think this is a rubbish make of machine and if 2 have had faulty draining then the others must have a good chance of being the same. I want a completely differ ant make and i don't mind paying any ecess for a new one. Am i being unreasonable here do you think?

  • what do you think about Gordon Brown being on Piers Morgan show?

What do you think about Gordon Brown being on Piers Morgan show ?

I find it quite disturbing that our prime minister should want to attract the media like a mediocre would be celebrity. Will he be on "celebrity get me out of here "next?. Strange that he is going to talk about his private life just as we are going to the polls.

Normally a labour voter i find it all very distastefull and undignified

  • Are these cases true Justice ?

In our local paper a drunken and abusive woman, Known as a regular patient by the nurses, made a flame thrower out of an aerosol can and tried to burn the face off of two nurses who were trying to treat her. She received a suspended sentence so walked free. In the same week, a woman who shouted a racist remark to a man as she cycled by was jailed for 40 days. Is this justice. My feelings are the drunk should have been jailed and the racist fined quite heavily

  • "my cat is blind" update?

I decided to take most peoples advice on keeping my blind cat, but just an hour after i had posted a thank you on answers i saw that rosie could not walk properly and was dragging her 2 back legs. My vet as closed so i had to wait till this morning to see him. She had had a stroke and the vet said it was time to let her go. I'm devastated but i know she was happy till the end. She had a lovely last day. I gave her loads of her favourite food, and she basked in the sun all afternoon. Although she couldn't walk she stayed on my knee all last night and slept on my bed. She woke up at 4-30 for more tuna and didn't seem very stressed at all. I will miss her so much. She was always on my knee when i was on the computer

  • my cat is blind, am i being cruel to keep her?

She was diagnosed as having a detached retina in one eye and bleeding in the other. It is heartbreaking seeing her bumping into everything. She still seems in good health and is eating well. She still goes out into the garden, but we have enclosed it so she can't get into the road

Am i being cruel keeping her alive. Would it be better if she was put to sleep? She is about 18 years old. I have had her for 12 years. She is a gorgeous little cat.

  • I think my cat may have kidney disease?

My cat is about 16-17 years old.She has started to drink a lot and is off her food. I have had 2 cats die of this over 6 years ago and they were terribly upset with the treatment they had. They still died less thn 2 weeks later. My question is this, Shall i leave her alone if she is not in pain or will that be to cruiel. I love her to bits but i feel it is unkind just to keep in treating her for the sake of a couple of weeks. Also the enormous cost has to come into this, i cannot afford £300or £400 hundred if it's for nothing at the end of the day
