Secret Agent of God (BWR)
Female Navy Veteran Recovering Alcoholic 3X (yes, 3 times) Cancer Survivor Bubby's Nana Heterosexual God exists, and is my living, loving Father. BWR: Believer Without a Religion *********************************************** GOD DOES NOT TEST US. GOD DOES NOT PUNISH US. GOD DOES NOT SEND US TO HELL. HEAVEN AND HELL ARE HERE AND NOW; JUDGMENT DAY IS NOW. The 10 commandments are really spiritual principles. God gave me free will. When I live by the commandments, my mind is free and clear, and I am in heaven. When I break those commandments, my mind is clouded with guilt, remorse and shame; the channel between me and God becomes blocked, and I am in hell. Anytime I like, I can make amends for my behavior, which helps me to clear that channel between me and God. I can now use my free will to ask God to be with me; I can ask God to lead my life. Eventually, I stop breaking those commandments, and I become happy, joyous, and free.
Why do some people think that studying the bible is so great?
Instead of studying the bible or worshiping Him, don't you think God would rather you help His other kids?
14 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoTo Mo and Others: Why does having God mean I know all the answers?
Before having a relationship with God:
How was the earth created? I don't know.
What happens when we die? I don't know.
After beginning a relationship with God:
How was the earth created? I don't know.
What happens when we die? I don't know.
Mo in the Middle replied in a recent Q:
----Do not make the mistake of assuming that god is the answer to everything you don't understand. It's ok to say, "I don't know."----
If anything, my relationship with God has given me MORE questions, so don't go thinking that YOUR reasoning for looking for God is to find all the answers means that MY reasoning for looking for God is to find all the answers. mkay?
3 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoSpiritually Speaking: Don't you love those who block you because they didn't like your response?
Right, Conna?
10 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoSpiritually speaking: What's a great non-gender specific gift for $30 to give anyone?
Please! No gift cards or money or anything.
My family is doing Pollyanna different this year.
I would get buckyballs, but I won't receive them in time. :(
9 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoChristians: How many of you TRULY believe that nonbelievers will burn in hell?
PLEASE ANSWER THE QUESTION DIRECTLY. No sidestepping like the first two guys.
9 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoSpiritually speaking (of course): How many of you have an avatar that is the opposite of your own gender?
Be honest.
That's not me in the avatar. That's my grandson. I'm a chick.
19 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoAtheists: How does it make you feel when a really good song has LORD or GOD or something in the lyrics?
I just listened to Somebody to Love by Queen. LOVE THAT FREAKING SONG. Now it doesn't bother me anymore that LORD appears in it 5 times (not counting Freddie's repeating it). When I was an atheist, I don't recall it bothering me in any way (I don't remember what I thought about it), but I wondered what you think about it, if anything?
You think it's just a fill-in word, and accepted word, or the singer's or writer's real feelings?
21 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoSpiritually speaking: Why would someone I don't even know block me?
i.e., Breanne
Another one, too, but I can't find them right now.
I just never thought I'd be THAT important!
21 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhat does it mean? "you cannot view this question at this time"?
8 AnswersYahoo Answers1 decade agoSpiritually Speaking: Did you ever suspect a question was a setup for the answerer?
I've seen more than a few ramblings that seem to "perfectly" answer the question that was asked. So, do you suspect?
Bonus question: If you suspect, do you think it's two people working together? Or just one nut-job?
14 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoSpiritually Speaking: What kind of pain killer shall I ask for?
I'm having surgery in the morning. They're going to put me out. What kind of pain killer shall I ask them to use for when I wake up? Of course, I want the one that will put me closes to heaven.
Only one problem: Morphine makes me barf.
11 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoSpiritually speaking: Today's my birthday. Who wants Cold Stone Creamery Ice Cream Cake?
I only have THREE slices left!!
It's chocolate, chocolate, chocolate!
16 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoDoes this person mean "organized religion" and not "religion"?
Presumably, this person doesn't have a relationship with God...
<<<<Statement>>>>
Remember, "god" is nothing more than a nonsense word created by man to explain away all of the things we can't yet understand.
<<<<Response>>>>
I don't need to explain away all of the things I don't yet understand. I am human...very limited...and will NEVER understand everything. I'm okay with that.
<<<<Statement>>>>
Religion is a disease of the mind, born of fear, which has done nothing but bring untold misery down upon the human race.
<<<<Response>>>>
No doctor has ever told me that I have a disease of the mind. Nor do I have fear. Nor have I ever brought "untold misery" upon anyone since having God in my life.
SO, MY QUESTION IS THIS:
Does the person making these statements mean "organized religion" and not "religion"?
7 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoSpiritually speaking: What will you wear to R&S on Halloween night?
Will you put on an appropriate avatar? Or do you already have it on??
10 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhat percentage of Christians THAT YOU KNOW PERSONALLY do you believe truly practice Christianity?
Oh, and I have to say that I believe it's probably about 10%.
19 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoBelievers of God: Do you attend church regularly?
I'm just curious what percentage of us attend some kind of church. I mean, if your "worship" or rituals aren't done in a church, just consider where ever you hold it to be your church.
I do not attend church, but I have a very personal and powerful relationship with God. I believe God's house is in my heart, not down the street.
16 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoDo you live in heaven or in hell?
Assuming that I'm right, and heaven and hell are here and now, and is really the expression of what we're living in our own minds; and assuming that we can move whenever we want, which one do you live in? Heaven? Or hell?
[I live in heaven. I refuse to move.]
24 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoSpiritually speaking, have you ever checked someone's profile...?
...because you think their beliefs are similar to yours, only to be disappointed to find that they say nothing about themselves or their beliefs in their profile?
12 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhy does making the following statement make the speaker dumb?
I don't need to prove God exists. I know He does.
