My brother just got diagnosed with aplastic anemia. All of us are JW's and are researching like crazy but are finding very old info from before stem cell research began and bloodless surgery became so common. Any experiences?

My friend teaches special needs children but must pass this test to get the appropriate credentials and to hold onto her job. She is very smart but this test is quite subjective and she keeps failing it. What is wrong? What is the secret?

I know many people believe Bible prophesy is connected to modern Jerusalem (not true, since Jews are no longer God's chosen people as a group and prophesies relate to heavenly Jerusalem) and many people believe the world will end around Dec 21st (also not true since Rev 11:18 says God will ruin those ruining the earth) BUT will this latest conflict possibly lead to the nations turning to the UN to give it more power?

I am being caused a lot of trouble by someone who is being assisted by a woman knowledgeable in law. She does not represent him officially but recently I received a document with her return address saying xxxx,attorney at law. She is not listed with the State Bar Association. My thought is that if she is studying to become an attorney she has breached a very important rule and I'd like to file a complaint and get her out of the picture.

I have heard this can be psychological. For example, one of my foster daughters always got sore throats until she was able to open up and talk about her molestation. Another always had issues go to her lungs. Does anyone have a link to information about this?

My husband enjoyed the hobby as a child with his grandpa back when they had to learn morse code. He got his license when he was 12. Now that he's getting back into it he was explaining about the personal call signs. Can someone explain why the numerical prefixes for each region don't seem logical? It begins with #1 up in Maine and go down the East coast then swing West (Ca is #6) then 7 goes East to Utah, but then region 8 is back by the great lakes and 9 and 0 head back west. Looking at the map I can't understand it. Do you? Only a ham will understand what I'm talking about. Please don't be rude, people.

Like I have, that many have wives with different last names than their own. Is that a cultural thing or are they just common law wives whom they never married? I think in some Latin cultures the wife's name is taken by the husband, am I right?

I asked an important question, got a lot of great answers but was really busy. On the way out the door I selected a best answer in haste and accidently chose the wrong one. A really BIG mistake. In other words, are alternative fuel engines required to have the emission control items anyway?

Here's the deal...My husband is a developer of hydrogen fuel cells, a bit different from what's on the market, we aren't sure yet, but we think there will be NO emissions or at least very little. We don't want to put heavy expensive emission control items on the engine if we don't have to. I get the feeling this is a whole new field and no one knows.
