Painting a dining room and kitchen that are attached?
Within the next two weeks I'll be moving into my first home I can decorate. I'm pretty excited. One of the rooms I'm kind of confused about is the kitchen and dining room. They are essentially one room. Is it better to paint them the same color, or could you paint them separate colors? Any thoughts or tips appreciated!
3 AnswersDecorating & Remodeling9 years agoWhat color of jacket/cardi would go with this?
I have a simple, maxi dress like dress that has a blue top and a solid black bottom. I was planning on wearing it with some type of jacket or cardigan, but I'm not sure what color would look best. The blue on top is similar to like robins egg blue. Thanks for your input!
2 AnswersFashion & Accessories9 years agoPreservatives, or no preservatives?
I'm making lotions, body washes, lip balms, salt and sugar scrubs all from scratch. I am currently hoping to launch this into a small business. One of the biggest things that I'd like to set my products apart from other products is the fact they are all made with organic ingredients. The issue is because I want my products chemical free, I won't be adding a preservative. This means eventually lotions, and body washes could technically grow mold if not used soon enough. Would you rather have an all natural bath product that could mold, or a small amount of preservatives and chemicals in your bath product and a longer shelf life? Thank you for your opinions!
2 AnswersOther - Beauty & Style9 years agoHow to get started on blog design?
I am an avid blogger, and I am really interested in starting some blog designing. I design my own blog now, but I'd really like to enhance my skills, and maybe someday do it as a small business. I guess I just don't know where to get started. What do I need to be successful at blog design? Thanks for any help!
4 AnswersProgramming & Design9 years agoHow do I know what price I should be selling my handmade items at?
I'm interested in figuring out the best way to set a price for selling handmade items. For example, if you had a product that maybe took an hour or so to make, and cost about 10.00 in material, what would be the best price for this item, and how do you know which price is right? Thanks for any help!
3 AnswersOther - Business & Finance10 years agoWhat to wear with plaid scarf and jeans?
I just got an awesome black and white plaid scarf and plan on wearing it out tomorrow with a new pair of jeans. I'm just not sure what else I should wear? Should I stick with a white shirt and black cardigan, or should I wear a colored shirt? Also, what's the best color to do my nails with? Any tips are greatly appreciated!
3 AnswersFashion & Accessories10 years agoProbation violation issues?
My husband is currently on probation. He was in an accident about a year and a half ago and didn't have insurance. Basically he has been going twice a month and paying towards the cost incurred by the motorist. When he first started paying probation he got behind, and we've been behind since, however the probation officer said it was ok because it didn't need to be paid off until March 2012. We've bumped up our payments recently, and a month ago when my husband went in to see his probation officer he found out she was no longer there and he had a new probation officer. They talked, and my husband told her he was planning on paying 600 dollars a month to get everything paid off asap. She said all he had to pay was 200 to get it paid off by March 2012. Today he went in to see his probation officer and she said that he had to pay 1764 dollars off by December 2011 or they would be violating his probation! He was shocked and angry that everyone he's talked to said he had until March 2012 to pay it off. The probation officer said they would violate him in December because that way they wouldn't have to wait around for a court date. This makes no sense to us, how can they violate his probation when his probation isn't over yet? Is there anything we can do? This is frustrating to us because after she said we could just pay 200 that's what we've done because we thought we had time, and because our dog is having surgery and we've had unexpected costs because of that. Thanks for your help!
1 AnswerLaw & Ethics10 years agoTrying to do what God wants?
Over the course of the last 6 months I have continuously run upon the same bible verse. My mom has talked about this verse, I've seen it on blogs, and in news articles. It's Psalms 46:10 "Be still and know that I am God..." I feel as though God wants me to be still and know that he is God, but how do I do that? Do you think that means he wants me to spend some quiet time reading the bible, or just some quiet time reveling in the fact that He is God? Any thoughts would be appreciated.
7 AnswersReligion & Spirituality10 years agoWhat to do with a dog that has a torn cruciate?
We have a 73 pound lab mix who was diagnosed with a torn cruciate. After doing research we had planned on doing a TPLO but the quote was much higher than the actual estimate given to us. We're considering going with the lateral fabellar suture instead of the TPLO. Our vet is recommending we do the lateral fabellar suture and says our dog may not be able to "run as fast" but other than that should return to normal. Has anyone out there repaired a torn cruciate with lateral fabellar suture? How did you dog heal? Did he go back to normal? Thanks!
3 AnswersDogs10 years agoCauses for dog holding up leg and limping?
About a week ago my two dogs were outside at night, running around and playing as is usual. I heard one of them cry, and called them over. My male dog was holding up his back leg, only using it slightly. ((He is a lab mix, 3 1/2 years old, approx. 80 lbs. no other health problems)) I checked his leg out thoroughly for cuts, swelling, tenderness, as well as checked between toes and paw pads. I was hoping perhaps he just sprained it, but now still a week later and he is still holding his leg up, using it only on occasion. He doesn't whine, or cry, we've scheduled a vet appointment, but I was curious as to what you guys think it could be? What type of problems usually occur so suddenly? Thanks for all your help!
5 AnswersDogs10 years agoHow dangerous is it to live by sex offenders?
My husband and I are looking to buy our first place. The house we're fairly interested in is in a part of town we are unfamiliar with so we checked a crime rating website that shows when crimes were committed and what type of crime it was. I was relieved to see that there were no recent crimes shown. I was however kind of shocked at how many sex offenders lived in the surrounding neighborhoods. My husband and I do not have children, and do not plan on having children for quite awhile. What are you opinions? Is it safe to live close to sex offenders, or is it something we should avoid at all costs.

1 AnswerOther - Food & Drink1 decade agoIs it OK to do this at a party?
My mom and dad want a luau themed anniversary party which I'm throwing for them. At first I wanted to make some traditional luau foods, but after looking over recipes realized the vast majority of my immediate family, totally almost half the people coming to the party, wouldn't eat the food!! They are very picky eaters. Is it ok to serve non-themed food at a themed party? Thanks for your input!

2 AnswersOther - Beauty & Style1 decade agoStray cat found, pregnant, or already had kittens?
Yesterday driving home from the store my husband and I found a stray cat walking down the middle of the road. I got out, and she tried to run away, but then after calling her she came to me. We live in a rural area with no houses around. There's about 5-6 inches of snow on the ground so we got her in the car and took her home. she seems pretty young, maybe around a year or so. I know she is either pregnant or has had kittens, I just don't know which! Her teats are very swollen and full, but not sagging. Her belly isn't huge and stretched, but it is big for how small the rest of her feels. I've put my hand on her belly and just held it still, and I felt a few slight nudges and I can feel little bumps in there. I just want others opinions on if she is pregnant or if she has already had kittens. How can you tell?! Thanks guys!
4 AnswersCats1 decade agoMy dog has an ear infection, I think?
This past Tuesday I noticed my dogs ear was pretty dirty, and itched. I had assumed maybe it was ear mites, and so we were treating for that. Things looked promising at first, but then took a turn for the worse. I have stopped using the ear mite medicine, and am just trying to clean his ear. I am DEFINITELY taking him to the vet early Monday morning. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas, tips, or advice for me to take care of him until then. Thank you so much for your help, we appreciate it!
4 AnswersDogs1 decade agoWeight loss without counting calories?
I am interested in weight loss tips that will help you lose weight, without having to count calories. I've heard of portion control, and of course excercizing, but what other things work to help lose weight? I'm not looking for easy solutions, etc, I know weight loss is hard work, I'm just looking for things a little different than just counting calories.
