  • 2015 Ford Fusion Titanium AWD or 2015 Honda Accord EX-L Coupe (4 cylinder). Which would you choose and why?

Both are approximately the same price and offer many of the same options. The Ford, however, offers AWD, remote start, and somewhat better gas mileage. The Honda, though, is a car I absolutely adore. Help me choose!

  • Is it worth it to hire a real estate attorney to review/complete PA Agreement of Sale when buying a home without a Realtor?

I am buying my first home. It is essentially a lease purchase from my boyfriend's mother. Therefore, we are not using Realtors for the transaction. Neither of us are terribly knowledgeable about the paperwork and I'd like to have piece of mind of knowing that everything is correct. Is it worth it to have an attorney review the document? If so, how much would that cost in PA (approximately)?

  • Laptop Error Message HELP!?

I own a Lenovo P580 laptop which was purchased in September 2012. It worked perfectly up until the other night when I got the following error message:

For Atheros PCIE Ethernet Controller v2.1.0.9(00/12/11)

    Check cable connection!

PXE-M0F : Exiting Intel PXE ROM

I am technically-challenged and do not understand this at all. I tried hitting F12 at start up and selecting ADA HDD (whatever that means) but it gives me the same message.

    Please help! Thank you.

  • How to sync iPod with iTunes on a new computer?

I got a new computer and transferred my library to the new computer using home sharing. That part worked out fine. I was able to download more songs from the iTunes Store. But when I plugged my iPod (3rd gen nano) into the new computer, it only allows me to transfer purchases FROM the iPod, not to sync the iPod with the iTunes library. How do I get the new computer to sync? Please help. Thank you!

  • A-TraC Dynamic Brace for canine ACL injury?

My 9 year old pug/beagle mix came inside yesterday limping and would not put any weight on her left hind leg. We took her to the vet this morning and they said it was likely an ACL tear. They did not do x-rays initially and, instead, told us to keep her rested, limit her mobility, and gave us some anti-inflamitories to give to her for the next 3 weeks. She is only 23 lbs and they said, in small dogs, an injury like this could possibly "heal itself." If there is no change after 3 weeks, we are instructed to bring her back in to talk about possible surgical options.

Surgery, of course, is invasive and expensive (they quoted $2000 for the surgery, diagnostics, follow-ups, etc.) and I would like to avoid that option if at all possible. In researching the injury, I had come across the A-TraC Dynamic Brace from WoundWear. Does anyone have experience with this product? Was it helpful in non-surgical rehabilitation of a torn ACL or CCL? And how much did it cost?

    Thanks for your help!

  • What's the trick to buying NFL tickets through the box office?

My team's regular season tickets usually sell out within 15-20 minutes of going on sale. I have tried calling in to Ticketmaster, going on Ticketmaster's website and going on the team's website but tickets have always been sold out by the time I get through. Any tips on how to get tickets at face value?

  • Amount of R-22 coolant for Residential Air Conditioner?

Last year, I bought a house. When it got hot, the A/C wasn't working. The home warranty company sent someone to fill it up with freon. It worked all summer. This year, same issue. However, by EPA standards, it cannot be re-filled so we need a new condenser. The warranty will cover "parts" and labor which is great.

When the contractor came out he said the warranty company would not cover the R-22 Freon and that it would be $600 ($75/lb). The warranty company said it would be covered but the contractor said they would not let him bill it.

We are also having the condenser relocated to the other side of the house. The warranty company then said the $600 charge was for the "extra" Freon it would take to run the system due to the line extension.

I don't know anything about HVAC or Freon but that doesn't sound right. Would a line extension cause more Freon (especially $600 more in Freon!) to be required to run the system?

The contractor is coming out tomorrow and will expect the payment at the time of service. I've gone back and forth between them and the warranty company several times and no one can agree on what are financial responsibility for this project will be. Any help with this would be appreciated.

  • Will this burn in my crockpot?

I made a dish consisting of a thinly-sliced round steak wrapped around cream cheese stuffed jalapeno peppers and secured with kitchen twine. I sprayed my crockpot with cooking spray, placed the meat inside, and covered it with 21 oz of salsa verde. I believe I set the crockpot to a HIGH setting for 7 hours instead of the LOW setting for 7 hours as I intended. I don't use my crockpot much and am not sure if this will ruin the meal. Your thoughts?

  • Why switch to Verizon 4G LTE?

I am going to be getting a new phone on the Verizon Wireless network. Although 4G sounds appealing and the upcoming Droid Bionic looks amazing, I'm not sure that the expense of a $300 phone is really worth it. Can someone who has used the 4G LTE Verizon network explain the true benefits (not the hype) of the 4G network? And if it's truly worth upgrading to 4G?

Otherwise, I may get the Droid 3 or the Droid X2 (dual core processor 3G phones). Your thoughts?

  • Can they legally take the money from the sale of the house?

My parents are both in their 60's (Dad is going to be 66 this year. Mom will be 62.) My mom has been on Medicaid state insurance for the past 4-5 years because she is disabled and unable to work but was a home maker for many years and wasn't eligible for Social Security until just this year. They are planning to sell their house (which they own outright with the exception of a small home equity loan) and downsize into something smaller. I think they should rent an apartment so that they don't have property tax, association fees, etc. but they were told that, if they don't reinvest the money from the sale of their home into another home, the state can take my mother's half of the money to "re-pay" them for the insurance they've provided for her over the past several years.

I'm trying to see if there are any lawyers out there or people who have been through something similar in the state of Pennsylvania who could tell me if this has any merit. Thank you!

  • How do I remove deodorant stains that have gone through the dryer?

I have a couple of shirts (cotton blend and a light sweater) that came out of the dryer with stains in the armpit area caused by deodorant. I've heard that once it goes through the dryer, it's set. Anyone know of a way I can remove the stains without ruining the shirts even more? Thank you!

  • How to recover data from a laptop hard drive?

I have a HP DV6258SE laptop which has encountered the infamous "Black Screen of Death" (the Nvidia GPU/MCP failed). I can get a new laptop, however, I have to send my old one back. Since there is no video, I can't simply put a USB drive in and back up the data. A computer technician quoted me $95 to back up the hard drive. Is there a cheaper way to easily recover the data? i.e. hook up a USB cable from the laptop to another computer or something that doesn't involve removing chips and boards from the PC.

    Thank you!

  • Help with a Mitsubishi 73" TV?

We have a 5-6 year old Mitsubishi 73" TV. It has been working ok. But this morning when we turned it on, the white/black "static" came on the screen. We have ruled out a problem with our cable provider. A Mitsubishi (not FIOS) screen came up to set up the On Screen Guide so we went through that set-up and then it went back to the static. The buttons on the TV/remote don't seem to be working with the exception of the power button. Any ideas as to what this could be?

  • How to get financial assistance for total knee replacement?

My dad is 65 and has Medicare. He needs a total knee replacement on both knees. He cannot stand or walk for any length of time and is in pain most of the time. Although he has Medicare, there is still a substantial amount that he would need to pay out-of-pocket for the surgery and post-surgical rehabilitation. He lives in Chester County, PA and does not qualify for any sort of Medicaid. Does anyone know of someone/somewhere where he can get financial assistance to help cover the cost?

  • Local Tax Question for Accountants?

A 1% local tax was taken out of my paycheck for the township where I worked. However, where I live, there is no local tax and we are not required to file (In fact, no tax form exists).

On the other hand, a friend of mine is in a situation where there is only a 1% tax where he works (which is withheld) but a 3% tax where he lives so every year, he owes 2% to his local municiplaity.

My assumption is that it does not go both ways and I cannot get the money back that I payed to the township where I worked. Is this correct?
