  • How do I get dried Pop Tart filling off of my fleece jacket?

I was eating a Pop Tart this morning, and part of it broke off, landing on my fleece jacket with the sticky side down. It is now dried on because I was not in a position where I could clean it up right away. How do I get the filling off without ruining my jacket?

  • How do I help my dog through his anxiety?

One of our dogs has been acting strange at times, and we suspect that it is from anxiety because my dad is a Type 1 diabetic, and has frequent episodes of diabetic shock. Our dog doesn't seem to react when these episodes happen and my dad is out of it, but afterwards, when everything is normal again, he [our dog] hides in unusual places around the house, he shakes, and he becomes very clingy. Is there any way to help him whenever he becomes anxious like this?

  • Can a childhood concussion still affect you 20 years later?

If you get a bad enough concussion when you're 5 years old, can your brain function still be affected by it when you're 25 years old? I'm not entirely sure how brain injuries work, so hopefully someone else knows the answer to this.

  • How do I treat my insomnia?

I was diagnosed with ADHD a few months ago, and have been taking Adderall to help treat that; however, my increased dosage caused me to have really bad side effects, including insomnia. For this reason, my doctor took me off of the Adderall and put me on a different medication that is not a stimulant. I've been on this new medication for nearly a week now, and even though I'm not experiencing some of the side effects anymore, I still can't stay asleep at night, even with Melatonin. I'm assuming that this insomnia is a symptom of withdrawal from the Adderall, but what can I do to fix it? Staying awake is not exactly helping my attention span improve.

  • Do people still like to read books?

I have a huge passion for writing, and I was wondering if people still like to read for fun? It would be fun to write a novel sometime in the near future.

  • How do I respond to this?

I ve noticed recently that sometimes when I say something to my brother, he somehow finds a way to twist my words around and make me seem stupid. I want to respond in some way to make him stop acting so condescending, but I want to do it without seeming angry or annoyed, otherwise he will keep doing it because he thinks it s cute when I m annoyed. Any suggestions?

  • Suggestions for a good book?

Since most of the questions on here are about politics, I thought I would change it up a bit. Does anyone have any suggestions for a good book to read? I really like thrillers.

  • Is it socially acceptable for adult children to jump on trampolines?

I am 24, and I have never owned a trampoline in my life. Lately, though, I've been wanting to buy one, mostly to help me get into better shape. Is this acceptable in today's society without getting judged, or is that too childish for someone my age?

  • Is it possible to be mildly allergic to blackberries?

I've been trying hard lately to eat a lot of blackberries because they are really good for you, but I've also been noticing something weird going on with my body as well: I've been getting nasty rashes all over my neck and my arms. I thought that it was maybe just my eczema flaring up, but now I'm starting to think that it is from something else because my eyes have been getting itchy and crusty every night now too. I'm thinking it might actually be the blackberries because when I run out and don't have any for a while, then I feel fine. Is there a way to get tested and find out for sure, or should I just stop eating them all together?

  • Why do I keep getting headaches?

I've been noticing for a while now that I've been getting headaches very frequently, like at least 3 times a week, and I am starting to get concerned. I thought maybe it was because I stare at a computer screen for 8 hours a day for my job or wear my hair up a lot, but I'm not sure. Is there a reason that this keeps happening, or is it something I should ask my doctor about?

  • Why am I getting tired so quickly when I exercise lately?

I ve been exercising every day since October 10th, walking about 2 miles each day and doing toning exercises like crunches and push-ups. I ve also been talking cold showers to ease any soreness in my muscles that I come across. Lately, however, I ve been noticing that when I start to do these exercises, I start to get tired almost immediately. Why is this happening? I m getting really frustrated and feel like I m regressing instead of progressing.

(Also, if this makes a difference, I get about 7-8 hours of sleep each night, I eat breakfast, lunch, supper and a snack each day, and I drink plenty of water each day.)

  • Are you supposed to trim a candle wick before lighting it for the first time?

Yesterday, I lit a brand new jar candle, and less than an hour later, the smoke detectors in my house went off because the flame was huge and letting off more smoke than it should have. The wick was about an inch long, and I didn't trim it before I lit it. In the future, should I cut the wick before I light it for the first time? How short should it be?
