  • Muslims: Question about "good" deeds?

Is ANY good deed we do recorded in our book of record?.. I thought I read somewhere that only those good deeds performed for ALLAH (subhana wa taala) are counted ( unless my interpretation was wrong). For example if I see trash on the grass and I pick it up out of the goodness of my heart and because I know it's wrong but I am not being conscious of ALLAH (subhana wa taala)at the time will it still count? Any evidence to support your statement would be appreciated. Thank you for your kindness.

  • What color should I dye my hair?

I have fair skin (but not super pale), and my eyes are mainly green but mixed with golden and blue under tones. I don't want a blonde shade and I don't want anything super dark. I'd like a shade that would bring out my eyes and look good for my skin tone. What color would be best?

BQ: If you could share a photo of the shade that would be great! Thanks!

  • A question regarding menses?

I had my son in March. My LMP was May 8th and lasted about 4-5 days. In the past I've typically averaged at a 30 day cycle so knowing that I calculated my next period to be June 7th of this month. Problem is I have yet to my period. I took a pregnancy test and it was negative. Also about 2 days ago there a very light tinge of blood on the tissue after I used the bathroom so I thought ok maybe this is it but then it stopped (sry for the mental image lol) What could that have been ? Shouldn't I be getting my menses or could this be that my body is still adjusting? Should I retest for pregnancy again and if so when?

  • Advice needed about my 5 yr. old daughter?

My 5 year old daughter used to be obedient and respectful up until the past couple of months. Most of the time when I talk to her she will not look at me and if I ask her a question she will not answer me. When I tell her something to do she will be rebellious and say no or not do it all even for the smallest thing. When I tell her no she shouts yes! and does it anyway. I am so frustrated I feel I can no longer communicate with her and I am frustrated that I have to constantly repeat myself to her even over something simple like putting on her shoes. Sometimes I just feel like breaking down and crying. The only way I can get her to listen is by threats i.e. do you want me to take this/that away? etc..its the only way I can get her to listen sometimes. Any advice as to how I can fix this behavior and get her to listen and respect me again?

As for the past couple of months the only change that has occurred in her life is the birth of her baby brother. I and other family members still load on the attention to her and involve her as much as possible with her brother and she is very loving towards him so I'm not sure if this is it or if this is a stage. Also my mother in law gives in to her commands a lot and spoils her all the time and they spend a lot of time together. I'm not sure if this could be a contributing factor but thought I'd mention it as it is all I can think of. Thank you for your precious time.

  • Advice needed about my in law?

I live in a joint family consisting of my husband kids and mother in law. Whenever important issues arise that require decision making my in law starts discussing it with my husband and gives her input about how it should be handled before I even get the chance to discuss with him. I find this extremely irritating and it upsets me much. I'm hesitant to say anything to my in law because in the past if I said anything about what bothered me it just created strain and turned into unnecessary arguments no matter how nice I was about it. Am I making a big deal? How should I handle this? Thank you.

  • Question about 12 year old Tabby?

My cat is very loving but recently he will randomly bite my hand at times. It is not painful but should I be concerned with this new behavior? BTW he is mainly an indoor cat but sometimes manages to sneak outside. Not sure if this is important or not but I figure the more information the better. Also he has no health problems. Thanks!
