I know that God is using me in mighty ways. He is training me to be His missionary & to lead in life, love, purity and service. I am learning to trust Him in everything. Jesus is coming soon! "SFECU S.pirit; (John 7:39) F.illed; (Acts 2:4) E.vangelical; (John 3:3) C.hristians; (Rom.10:9,10) U.nited; (Ps 133:1) Just as the indwelling of the Spirit at conversion reproduces the life of Jesus, the outpoured, infilling, or baptizing with the Spirit reproduces the ministry of Jesus. All born-again, Spirit-filled, Evangelical Christians on R&S are welcome to use this acronym as well."

  • Does satellite Internet cause problems with a cordless phone?

We moved to our first home about three weeks ago. Last week, we got phone service and purchased a VTech cordless phone model CS6719-16. It has worked just fine. This morning, we had Exceed satellite Internet installed. I thought nothing of the phone not working until a couple of hours later when I was expecting a call. After the call did not come in, I noticed that the phone display said, "no line." I know it worked prior to this because I had to give the man who came over to install the satellite and get us going directions to our home. His number is the newest on the call directory as well. I tried another phone line in the same jack, and that does not solve the problem. We have only one jack, so I cannot try another location in my home. Do I need a DSL filter? Is this coincidence? What should do? Thank you!

  • Where do I find information on adopting a relative?

My sister-in-law has four children. Two are biologically hers, and two are her step children. She and her husband are technically still married, but they have not lived together for a couple of years. The younger step child was being raised by her mother who gave her up to the father when the child was three and half years old. The father has almost no involvement with any of the four children, and my sister-in-law admits to not loving the child (which I am saying very mildly). I think she is very close to giving up the child herself. Currently, we are not able to take the child in, but that will change very soon. The child calls me Mommy, even though she knows this will result in punishment from her step-mother and some other family members. I have a deep love for all of the children, but this one in particular needs a mother and father and other family members to love her. She's almost seven years old. Currently, both my husband and I and the child live in MO. We may be moving to KS soon though, for employment. Thank you!

  • Will my "male" cat be able to nurse?

I have a cat oddity. Today, my "male" cat had kittens. From the outside, he has male parts like his brother. When he got big, we joked that he was pregnant. Today, five kittens showed that the joke was on us. He isn't very maternal towards them, but he did put them in a box. Will he nurse? If not, will his mother/sister (not sure which one she is) take over? She has kittens who are almost five weeks old.

  • How can I help my parents as we transition into college?

I start college in August. I'm excited and just a tad nervous. Ever since graduation, my parents, especially Mom, have been really edgy. They don't even want college brought up. I have a little brother who's due to graduate next year. Then, he'll be off somewhere, too, and it will be just my parents and the animals. What can I do to help them cope?

  • Am I really going to regret not taking calculus?

I refused to take calculus this year. I get alright grades in math, but it takes me half the night to do math homework . It is too late to do anything about it anyway, but I am actually glade that I didn't take it. Yet, the teacher insists that I will regret it. Who's right?

  • What do Jehovah's Witnesses really believe?

No one ever comes out this far, so I was just surprised to have a knock on the door. I knew right away when I saw them that they were Jehovah's Witnesses. It's the first time I've ever talked to them, and only the second time that I've seen them.(The last time I saw them, I was carrying around baby dolls.) I was polite and listened for a time, but would not go farther with them because I've always been taught that they preach a different doctrine. They indicated that they'd be back when they said "the next time we come around", and I want to know what they believe so I'll be ready the next time around. (From what I hear, they come around frequently, so I guess they are long overdue for us. )

  • Can anyone help me with my chicken crisis?

I had 6 hens, but last night something got in & 2 of them are gone. I fear that they are dead. The others are terrified, and huddled together. I was able to check out one, and found cuts or bites on her. I didn't want to bother the rest, but they may also be wounded. I left them in today, but what else can I do?
