  • What movie did an old guy relate the way the back of your neck looks to when you will die?

All I remember is an old white guy saying something along the lines of "as soon as the V's (or maybe it was Y's) appear on the back of your neck you will die soon"

He was referring to the way old peoples muscles on the backs of their necks become more pronounced and stick out just like a "v(Y)"

Later in the movie he suspected he was close to death and wanted someone to check the back of his neck.

I think they were homeless, and it may have been a tv show not a movie.

  • What happened to oranges?

I've noticed that oranges never split apart perfectly anymore... Whenever I buy a navel orange, and go to peel it, i never seem to have a "perfectly" peeling orange anymore.. there's always a cluster of little undeveloped oranges at the bottom.

From my child hood, I always remember having oranges that peeled apart perfectly, and only ever found an occasional little undeveloped piece.

What gives? why have oranges changed? are they genetically modified now? Being produced to quickly?

  • What is the name of this song? Country Music.?

I cant remember the name of the song, or any of the actual lyrics to save my life... but help if you can please.

The song is sung by a guy with a somehwat deep wavering voice. It is primarily a post-breakup song. He starts by askig the girl who broke his heart why she keeps calling him when she "knows what it does to him." And that she claims she is only calling to say "hi."

Goes on to say that neither he or his friends have time to stay up late in the night dealing with his sorrow.

    Talks about drinking whiskey.

Says something about "the sun came up the next morning after all."

    Really catchy chorus.

    Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

  • How long is turkey good for is re-cooked?

So, three-four days after thanksgiving I still had some turkey so I decided to make some soup. The soup was cooked for over two hours at a very high temperature. It has now three days since i made the soup, what I am wondering is if the turkey in the soup is still good since it was re-cooked? Potentially a total of seven days since the first time it was cooked, and three days exactly since the second time.

  • Are there any medical restrictions for EMT'S?

I live in seattle and I would like to pursue a career as an EMT-B. I was wondering if there are any medical conditions that can prevent me from doing this. In other words: eye sight, hearing, mobility issues, sever medical issues. (I don't have any sever medical issues, but I do have bad eye sight, so I was just curious)

Answers with personal experience only please! thank you!

  • My 15 week old puppy has yellow discharge coming from her vagina?

My 15 week old Pembroke Welsh Corgi woke up this morning with about 1/10 of a a teaspoon of yellow-white mucus partially covering her vagina. I took her out for her Morning walk, and she would not urinate, or defecate, so i brought her back inside. I cleaned off the discharge, and fed her, and had her drink water, and took her back outside (she urinated the second time I took her out).

It has been 6 hours since the discharge was first spotted, and she has had a pretty normal day. Normal energy level, regular eating and drinking habits.

    Additional information:

-The discharge looked somewhat like pimple puss.

-She got her 4th round of DHPP and Rabies shots yesterday

-I woke up about an hour and a half late to take her out (she did not whine or fuss, or otherwise tell me she needed to go out though)

  • Puppy having trouble leash training?

I have a 9 week old Pembroke Welsh Corgi that for the most part knows how to walk with a leash around her neck.. but she wont follow me. I've read that I am supposed to follow her for the beginning phase for leash training, but when and how to I transition her into following me, instead of me following her?

  • How do I get my 9 week old puppy to stop chewing on her leash?

I am trying to start trining my 9 week old Pembroke Welsh Corgi to walk on, or atleast become adjusted to wearing a leash. I currently have her wearing a nylon collar that she is wearing high up on her neck, and I have been trying to introduce her to a light nylon collor with a light metal clip. Whenever I put the collar on her she fusses with it from time to time but is pretty good about leaving it alone... but as soon as I put her leash on she picks her end of the leash (right were it attaches to her collar) and either carries it around most of the time or chews on it. I have tried distracting her, and correcting her but nothing has worked so far. Any suggestions?

  • Is replacing my ipod cheaper than reparing it?

I have a 2008 ipod nano 10gb (video) and I dropped a 70 pound weight on it at the gym (i know.. i'm an idiot...) and now the screen is broken (it still lights up, but it gets glitchy and you cant see anything on the screen really (there is also a large crack) the device itself still works, memory is good, battery life is good, still plays music.

so my question is this... would it be cheaper, or even possible to get the thing repaired? or would i be better off just buying a new one?

  • buying a english bulldog?

I have been in the market for an English Bulldog for some time, and have noticed some extreme price ranges. Just today, I've found two breeders that are selling them for price difference of $1,950 dollars. One breeder was selling puppies for $2,100, and the other breeder was selling them for $150. And the bizarre thing was that both sets of puppies had the same description. All AKC registered, current vaccinations, dewormed, sire was a champ blood line.

I am fairly confident that neither was a puppy mill (both were run out of a family owned home I believe). So my question is this.... What gives? and whats so different between the two dogs?

  • help!!! i have crabs!?

So I went crabbing yesterday morning, I caught my limit (five dungeness). I was short on time, so I rushed home and boiled them very quickly (approx 4-7 minutes). I stuck them in the fridge, and went out for the rest of the day. I came home and decided to crack one open and have some crab for dinner. Unfortunately, the interior meat was still slightly gooey, and raw (but partially cooked) and the legs were fully cooked.

    So my question is this.

Is the crab safe to eat? Should I cook it longer until it finally does get fully cooked? Is the Meat basically ruined from sitting there dead and raw?

Other information: I cooked the crabs whole, and live.

PLEASE HELP!! I have crabs... and I cant eat them :(

  • ammonia lysol spray, sprayed onto floor that was recently cleaned with bleach.?

My mom tried to take in a bleeding stray cat. we put it in the bathroom to hold it. Once it was out, she cleaned the floor with bleach. After which she (after several minutes) sprayed it with lysol spray, which has ammonia in it.

Is this dangerous? How long will it be dangerous? How long till its safe to go back into that bathroom?

    Side note:

I opened the window in that room. Closed the door. And put towels at the bottom of the door.

is this enough to contain it until then?

  • Herpes from mouth to can to finger to mouth - possible?

I work at a grocery store, and as I was ringing up some guy's purchase I reached into his basket without looking and grabbed a can of pop he had been drinking while shopping, i grabbed it right on the mouth piece. I looked up at him and noticed he had a cold sore.

I did not touch my lips any time soon after, I scrubbed my hands, several times as soon as I got off work. Is there any possibility that the virus would still be on my fingers? Or would it have died off fairly quickly?

    Just curious.

  • Programs other than itunes?

Are there any programs out there that allow you to download music legally other than itunes?

I am into heavy underground rave music. and itunes, as many of you know is very limited in its selection, I cannot find any of my favorite songs on it.

I want to download legally because I despise people who steal music without paying for it.

also, do any of these programs allow the music to then be added to an itunes play list, in order to be put on an ipod?
