  • What's up with the Vikings hate?

They're 2-0. Soundly beat two teams on the road in their home openers. No, they weren't the best of teams. But they've done nothing wrong, and the games really haven't been close. And why are people hating on Favre still? You know why he hasn't thrown many, if any, deep balls? he hasn't had to! He's second in the league in QB rating right now, so I really don't get where it's coming from. AP is not "carrying" this team right now. Wait for some actual flaws to be exposed before ya hate.

  • In College Football, what team would you say is the best outside of the top 25?

Personally, I say it's Illinois. I think they're a little underrated, given their only losses have come to 2 top-6 teams, away from home. Juice is looking SO much better this year, and has vastly improved as a passer. What do you think?

  • So, with everyone nagging Favre about interceptions..?

It is common to compare TD's with INT's, correct? Ok, then let's compare Favre's ratio of TD:INT to some other great QB's

Yes, he threw a lot, mainly coming from his gunslinger mentality and the length of his career. But, most people compare TD's to INT's - so, if you do that, Favre comes off better than some of the other most revered QB's - for example, he has a better TD:INT ratio than: Tarkenton, Aikman, Elway, Unitas, Moon, Staubach, Bradshaw, Kelly, Graham, Fouts, etc. I could go on, but these are all guys that ARE legends. Numbers don't always work - at times, you have to look at ratios.

Montana, Manning, and Brady have fairly better ratios, Marino barely has a better ratio. Many greats have over 200 INT's. Are you going to start ragging on them for it, too? If you actually compared careers, if many people had played as long as Favre did, they'd had thrown MORE than he did! Imagine that, huh?

  • Top 10 QB's of all time - Please give reasoning?

    1. Joe Montana - Guy had possibly the best supporting cast in the history of the NFL, but hey - 4 rings, great stats for the amount of time he played.

2-4. 3 players 'relatively' tied - Elway/Favre/Marino - Quite possible to make a case for any of them to be #1 - but they can be switched 2/3/4 easily.

    5. Johnny Unitas - Revolutionized the QB position, not superb stats compared to today's greats, but the game has changed alot.

6-9. Next 4 can be changed around easily too - Graham, Tarkenton, Fouts, Kelly

    10. Many people can make a claim for this place.. Bradshaw, Aikman, Young, Staubach, Moon.. I can't just choose one, but they would make up the next few.

Obviously, by the time (Peyton) Manning and Tom Brady are done with their careers, it seems like they will make the list. They could be included now, for some things, but they still have a ways to go til they are done.

I realize some people categorize QB's by championship - but, by that logic, Trent Dilfer is better than Marino...

  • Calling out all GREEN BAY fans??

Ok, I've read what many of you are saying after this game, and I am disgusted to see that many of you are calling out favre to retire. Do you REALLY want Rodgers leading this group of young guys to the playoffs next year? Anyone who does clearly hopped the bandwagon this year and should probably go back to their own team. Seriously, I realize the pick in overtime was his fault, but you're asking for one of the best ever to retire because of that?

Honestly, where are the real packer fans that were on here before we lost?
