  • car insurance excess?

My car is now only worth between £200 - £300 so if it was involved in an accident I doubt the insurance would repair...& write it off. Insurance is due for renewal & I have a £250 voluntary excess, which means that I would end up with nothing in the event of a crash. If I increase my vol. excess to £500 the premium goes down by about £30 which looks like a good idea to me but. If my car was written off due to an accident with another vehicle would I still have to pay the £500 vol. excess towards repair of the other vehicle or does the excess relate only to my car in this situation?

Had the boiler on quite high recently due to cold weather. It cuts out and comes up with message "flame failure safety cut out"- when I realise its gone off during a heating timed cycle I then have to re start it (usually 1st go), Someone suggested that it might be overheating so I've turned temperature down & its not happened since....is it just overhaeting or does it need attention,,,, could really do without a bill right now.Any heating engineers out there who could advise please

  • Anyone know about sick Pay?

I have worked for my present employer for about 4 months and recently I was off work with the flu bug for 4 days. Having just got my payslip for that period I have been stopped payment for the 4 days, which is probably right? Someone mentioned that some employers pay for sick days, which I assume is up to them, but what are the official rules on this. At the moment I cant afford to lose 4 days pay through illness
