  • Can I wash a down comforter in a home washing machine?

My cat's being a jerk and peed on my bed, I tried to hand clean it but there's a stain and I'm sure the scent's still there. Can I put it in my washer? It's a top load but there's no agitator, works like a front loader. It has some sentimental value so i'd like to save it, however paying for dry cleaning is not optimal at this time.

    Thank you!

  • how can I tell if a listing is for a mobile or a modular home?

I can only get a loan to qualify for a modular that includes the land beneath it, not a mobile home. But they are so often listed together, is there a way to tell which one a listing is when it's not specified in the details? For example some list lot size in addition to square footage and some do not, is this an indicator?

  • How long should I wait for Drano to work before I know it won t work?

I came home from work to a full kitchen sink, both sides. I ran the garbage disposal, no luck, just forced it all to one side and then came back once I turned it off. I used half a bottle of full clog Drano about an hour ago (it s all I had on hand). No other pipes are having trouble. The water is still there, it may have gone down a teeny tiny bit but nothing else. How long should it take to work before I know it s not going to work?

  • Experience with dog losing sight, how to help?

My soon to be 3 years old husky mix boy has cataracts and lately he's been having more trouble than usual seeing. He trips going up and down stairs were he never used to have trouble, can't catch anything and needs treats to be put right in his face or he has trouble finding it. The vet said they weren't bad enough to warrant surgery at this point, how can I help him? I have experience with deaf dogs but none with sight impaired dogs. Any advice on helping him? He was trained about half and half voice commands and hand signals, I've already begun phasing out hand gestures and using more vocal commands.

    Thanks in advance!

  • Oscillating fan stopped working?

My fan just stopped turning and spinning last night, no burning smell, no funny sounds, nothing. When plugged in it still lights up so I know it's getting power but it does nothing else. I took it apart and cleaned it but still no luck. Any way to fix it or is it garbage?

    Thanks!

  • Whirlpool dryer stopped working mid cycle?

I had a large load of wet towels going so it was pretty heavy, maybe five minutes in I hear an odd sound and it suddenly stops. The light still comes on when I open the door so I know it's getting power still, but it won't do anything when I press the start button, no sound at all. The towels were wet but there was definitly heat inside and I had successfuly used it earlier on a different load. What could be wrong?

  • Help logging into Petco Dayforce?

I'm trying to log into the new Dayforce thing and it's just not working. I asked my coworkers for the username and password, they said it was my employee number and I would make a password. Well it keeps saying I'm not registered and asking for a password, I can't find anywhere for a first time user either.

    Ugh! Any help?

  • Dry rash on my dogs stomach?

He's treated with a flea med, had a bath at the groomers 2 weeks ago, eats Canidae Pure Sky and gets limited treats (nothing new). It's not a moist rash and isn't in a skin fold, it resembles an abrasion almost. I also use detergent and fabric softener that's free of dyes and perfumes because both me and my other dog have skin allergies. Any idea of the cause? I sprayed it with some hot spot spray I had for his sister (he's never had one before) and put him in a cone to get him to stop licking it for now.

  • Advice on training a dog to track scents?

I'm thinking of training my 2 year old Husky/GSD boy to track scents. This would be just for fun, not for actual hunting or anything. He's excelled in his obedience training so far, but there are no local training areas for agility, rally or anything like that (the closest is an hour away). So I thought this would a be a fun new skill we could do on our own.

I've been looking at canvas dummies, different scents offered and what not. Any advice on what scents to use, how best to start or other tips and tricks? I saw one for antlers, but I give him those for treats already, would this be confusing to him?

    Thanks in advance!

  • What are some fun tricks to teach a big dog?

I have a little female who has a whole arsenal of skills to show off, but my boy's bag of tricks is more limited.

He's been through all the obedience courses, is CGC certified, and has good manners, can do the basics (sit, down, stand, stay, wait, come, ect) and a few extras (speak, jump, shake, high five, Bow). But I'd love to teach him more, the problem is he's long legged, boney and easily startled (he fell over once when working on beg and refuses to attempt it anymore). Things like beg and roll over are out of the question and he's too big to be doing things like going between my legs or crawling under things.

What are some great fun tricks to teach large dogs?

    Thanks!

  • A mystery spot in my co workers dogs back?

My coworker adopted a dog from a family that needed to re home her, she's about 3 years old, maybe 20 lbs. Looks like an American Eskimo mix but they didn't really have any idea, though she definitely looks like she's got some Spitz in her.

She had her shaved and yesterday I noticed a nearly bald spot on her back by her shoulder blades; it's circular, nearly bald (some hair growth all through out the spot but very little), dry, not inflamed and no discoloration. She says she's had it since she got her (almost 6 months) but it's super noticeable now, she was hoping that the cut would help it breath and heal.

My girl has a neurological tick that has her licking her wrist into a wound, this spot on my coworkers dog looks somewhat like the spot on my girls wrist as it heals. However it's in a spot that's virtually impossible for her to get too, and my coworker says she's never seen her try to get at it either.

We have no idea what this could be, any ideas? She's been putting neosporin on it, but no change.

  • I have an ingrown toenail, can Urgent Care treat this?

Ok, I'm somewhat in denial but I'm pretty sure it's infected now too. I don't have a regular doctor, can Urgent Care treat this or do I need to go somewhere else? The Emergency Room?

I've been soaking my foot in Epsom salts, hydrogen peroxide and putting neosporin on it during the day covered in band aids.

Also, sort of scared, what does the doctor need to do? Help!
