  • TV and monitor strangeness?

So a very strange thing has just happened, and while I'm not sure what category to put this in perhaps someone here can provide some insight. My TV and monitor have just turned off and back on, at the exact same time. They are both on different surge protectors and are not using the same outlets. The other electronics connected to these devices/surge protectors stayed on as well as a second monitor and tower on the same circuit. Everything seems to be fine now, I'm just curious as to what would make this happen.

    Thanks for any ideas!

  • Want to try homemade cat food?

I am wanting to try making my cats food. I have some recipes with nutrition info and am going to speak with the vet about this more on Monday. The problem I have is my cats will not eat 'people' food i.e. chicken, beef, corn, tuna, salmon (all plain or with gravy). They also will not touch canned food. Does anyone else have cats like this?

I have caught the boys licking left over ranch dressing, sour cream and mashed potatoes off our plates from time to time.

  • Did I overreact a little too much or not enough?

My three yo. son wanted to go for a bike ride and along the way he wanted to pick out a movie. We stopped at the video store and I realized I hadn't brought his bike lock so I put his bike in front of the window so I could see it. Well as we were checking out I looked out and see his bike being taken. I ran out of the store (the clerk was kind enough to watch my son) and started screaming at the teenager who was riding my sons bike away. Luckily I didn't have to chase the teen to far to get the bike back. I yelled A LOT of obscene things at this kid (my throat still hurts) who of course thought it was funny. I've never had anyone try to steal from us before, and certainly did not think an older teen would try to steal such small bike with training wheels. Do you think the 'harshness' of yelling bad language was to much? That's not something I ever imagined myself doing, let alone in public. Again this was my first encounter with a thief and I feel very bad for my son, the poor guy is having nightmares of the big kid taking his bike. I also realize it was my fault for not locking the bike up but at the time I was thinking who's gonna take a bike with rockets and training wheels? Let .that be leason learned.

  • yep, I need potty training tips?

I have looked everywhere I could think of for help with this with no luck. My son is going to be three in a few months and I cannot get him to use the toilet to pee. Well sometimes he will. He has been using it to go #2 for a very long time and picked up on that quickly. I have tried charts with stickers, putting soap in the potty so he can make bubbles, rewards and timeouts yet he still prefers the floor. Ideas?

  • Help! Need some product recomendations for acne?

I want my face to clear up! I hardly have issues with pimples unless it is that time of the month, maybe one or two small ones. Recently a ton of little ones have taken over and nothing I am using is helping. I wash daily and normally don't wear makeup to often and remove it when the day is over. Its awful being 25 with this many blemishes. any suggestions?

Normally use Noxzema and neutrogena face wash, nutmeg and milk scrubs and have been trying Proactive with no avail

  • Advice for eyedrops?

After a recent trip to Chuck e Cheese my son(21/2) woke up with pink eye. Luckily he already had a Doc appointment so we were able to get his drops right away. the challange I am having is getting them in his eye. I have tried to do it in the corner of his eyes while open and closed, he wipes it away before it gets in, showing him how I put the OTC drops for prevention in my eyes and dads, even pretending to do our cats eyes, offering stickers for his chart and lastly bribbing him with no avail.(he turned down ice cream!) I don't want to have to hold him down to get them in. Does anyone have any advie?

note: if any of you take your kids to chuck e cheese have them stamp your childs upper arm, not hand. they wern't going let us leave because when i washed my sons hands his stamp came off. I had to flash all the pictures in my wallet and phone before we could go.

  • Black moore?

I have noticed a while ago my black moore is 'leaning' a little to the left while he looks at me waiting for food and sometimes while he is swimming. He eats fine, plays 'chase', swims to the bottom and top of tank with no problem and enjoys swimming through the bubblewall. Other then the slight 'leaning' he seems fine. Has anyone seen this before? I'm thinking he might just be blind in his left eye as swim bladder symptoms don't seem to add up, maybe i'm missing something. any ideas?

I have him in a ten gallon tank with a filter rated for a 20 gal. According to the test kits all levels are where they should be. water temp is room temp.

He gets feed pre-soaked flakes, peas, leaf lettuce and sometimes boiled egg yolk.

We have had him for four months.

  • Help!!!How can I get my 15 month old son to go to sleep earlier?

He used to be in bed and asleep by nine the latest. For the past few weeks he has been going to sleep between 11-1 am. He wakes up at about 8:30am and takes one 1-1/2 hour nap at about 2pm. I don't know what to do. I cant let him cry or anything for too long, my husband has to get up for work at 4 am so the 'normal' i guess, sleep training method won't work. Any advice? Its so frusterating. I have 'mommy' time when they boys are sleeping and by the time its nice and quiet I'm to tired to use my time!!
