So I want to be called by a different name, I've always hated my name (Heather) but I just recently found some suitable alternatives. I'm just starting high school next fall and I want to go by a different name. Here's the problem: I went to public 7th grade and although I've changed my hair color and style, new clothes and started wearing makeup they'll probably still recognize my last name. This is a smaller town of 55,000 people and my dad's known pretty well.

It's not that much of a different name, Violet, so would just asking the teachers to call me it and requesting that the other students do so too fine? How could I get this to work. No nicknames available.

What I really need to know is how big the cage should be and where in Oregon I can get one. I hear you're supposed to buy them with a really good pet store, and I'll I've seen is PETCO. I'd also like to know if there are different breeds of rats, with varied appearances.

So would three female mice probably get along? Where should I get them and how much space do they need? Are they nice and friendly pets after you get to know them?

Or can a foiling medium be used by itself as a base?

I'm a younger teenager, but none of my friends are "bad influence" types and I've kept up my grades. I really would prefer to get them pierced as soon as possible as I'll have to wear only surgical steel for a year. What can I do to convince him?

I invited my veggie friend over to a nice little dinner party I was having with my other *omnivore* friends. I had fresh fruit and bread out but I had mostly chicken and beef. Now this girl's mostly nice, but she acted like the most self righteous witch when we were eating. She honestly wouldn't shut up about it. Should I try telling her how I feel yet again or just not invite her? I love my friend, but I hate that part.

I think it would be nice if we got to the part where she realizes I'm just as kind, wonderful and happy person as she is, and I finally no longer just wanna buy a nice bloody steak and eat it obnoxiously in front of her. Doesn't that sound like the perfect omni/veg relationship?

I'm just wondering if the stereotype that most vegetarians (and vegans) are PETA fans is true.

So... what do you like/dislike about them? Do you feel they are reasonable and not way too extreme? And if you answered the second question yes, are you legally insane?

So it was working perfectly fine, then I closed it to go get something when I came back the screen would not turn on. When it was closed the white light goes on, but when opened it goes off. I've been charging it but it still doesn't work. It has had no damage (dropping, water) but it has done this once before and worked again after charging.

So a game I want to play is compressed into a rar file, I downloaded it and it won't open. I've tried using winrar and stuffit (Or some other expander) but all I get is

Renaming it doesn't do do anything so I click merge. It works for a bit then says this:

Then no matter if I click Stop, Replace or Skip if I try to open it it won't work.

I've tried it on two Macs and a Dell.

Okay, so whenever I try to run a game ( Fiesta in this case) it says: "This game cannot be run in DOS mode". How do I get it to work? It's the newest version of Macbook.

I'm trying to choose between getting red hair and platinum.

I have grey eyes, very, very pale skin skin (I don't plan on tanning), and a round face. I'm naturally a darker blonde.

So I just found out the email address of my grandfather. I've never met him because he divorced my grandma and left my mom and her step sister, but his new wife sent me a card when I was six. So I've decided to email him, what do you say to someone you have close family ties but have never met? What do you ask?

I'm in my early teens if that's any help. He has two other sons that I've never met.

So I have a best guyfriend who I absolutely adore, he recently told , he was gay, I was completely fine with it and went to meet his boyfriend. Now he's saying he wants to tell his parents. His parents are completely anti-gay, psycho Christians. He's still in High school, as am I. I told him he should probably wait to tell them until got out of their house, but now he thinks I'm telling him not to be true to himself. Which is absolutely not true, I just want him to not have to worry about his parents. His boyfriend wants him to though, says he can move in with him if they kick him out. He just started dating him and I don't want him to be forced into a permanent relationship because he has nowhere to go.

My grandmother said that people used to refer USA as a melting pot, but my Aunt says the more politically correct view is to compare it to a salad ( Everything a separate thing). Which do you feel is a better comparison? Do you feel, like me, that if we saw every race and religion as completely separate instead of all connected by the one thing we all share, being Americans, there would be more discrimination? By that people would work towards only making people who share the same skin color have better lives and ignore others?

I'm a christan, by birth, not very extreme, just the basics of the ten commandments and new testament. I never insult or say anything wrong about atheism or any religion, I feel that they all of good points and are based on well thought out or deep meanings. I do charity work and help people of all types without prejudice, almost never talk about anything like religion. Heck I don't even go to Church often.

So why is the way I choose to live make some in the Atheist community call me a "mindless sleep"? I bloody well I live the way I want, thanks. I'm just wondering if Atheists feel this way of all Christians or just the few crazies (WestboroBC) Do you feel Christians can be just as smart?
