Merit should be the only criterion for (1)Government jobs and (2) for admission to the Medical/Engineering Colleges as well as other Technical Institutions as is prevalent in other countries of the world.Father of the Nation himself was in favour of merit as stated under (2) above.The creamy layers of the SC/ST communities should no more be provided with all the benefits for indefinite period or generations after generations depriving the meritorious and/or poor people belonging to the General communities.Rather, Government should arrange free education and provide free text books to the people belonging to SC/ST communities as well as the poor people belonging to the General communities, but never to the creamy layers of the SC/ST communities.Let all students irrespective of caste and creed compete for Government jobs and for admission to the Medical/Engineering Colleges and other Technical Institutions only as per merit.At the same time, Government should take stern action against the people of upper castes who torture or hurt the people of lower castes in any ways so that these things never get repeated in future.This, perhaps, will be acceptable to all the communities.Furthermore, this may drive out the century old frustration amongst the people of lower castes as well as sixty one year old frustration amongst the people of upper castes.

Goddess Durga has got lion as her carrier(Baahan),Goddess Saraswati has got swan, God Kartik has got peacock, Lord Ganesh has got rat etc.But no Indian God/Goddess has got cat,hen or dog as carrier (Baahan) .Why this is so?

The salaried class in India usually have limited source of income, yet this class have got to burn mid-night oil and be always on the lookout for new investment opportunities through which they may save for the rainy days as well as get some rebate in Income Tax under various Sections of Income Tax laws unlike big industrialists, businessmen, film stars and some sportsmen, a good number of whom often cheat Government in paying Income Tax or become defaulters, as reported in the newspapers from time to time.

Father of Nation Mahatma Gandhi once said Merit should be the only criterion for higher education in Medical and Engineering Colleges.Governments in the Centre and the States should make adequate arrangements for free education up to Class XII in respect of the students belonging to the families below poverty line irrespective of caste, creed and religion and also provide them with free books and other accessories so that they do well in their studies and be meritorious, otherwise creamy layers of a particular community will go on enjoying all the benefits given to them year after year, the actually backward and poor people will be deprived therefrom and meritorious students of general communities will repent why they were born in this country as no other countries in the world support reservation as prevalent in this country.The exponent of reservation as well as the person who made a major contribution in writing the Constitution of this country wanted that reservation would last for ten years only starting from 1950, i.e. up to 1960.But, alas! What is happening in this country?The vote hungry politicians have been extending the validity of the period of reservation for so many years till date to get their vote bank intact.Just think about a doctor who got admission in a Medical College having obtained abnormally less marks, depriving a meritorious student.What would be his quality as a doctor?Of course, there are some exceptions where a doctor from the backward community might have obtained good marks in all the semesters in MB BS course and he might be a good doctor.Now, get the statistics as to how many bridges developed cracks and fell down to the rivers/rivulets in this country and how many metro rail fly-overs have had the same fate.It's any body's guess- 'why'.That's why some people in this country give false declaration about their caste and obtain false caste certificates in order to get the benefits of reservation.May God save this country so that this country does not get disintegrated caste-wise with hatred between two castes,i.e.upward caste and backward caste and no more suicides by students of general caste take place.It is the moment of truth for the politicians of this country.
