I was laid off while attending school. When I certify for weekly benefits I put "no" to the question "Did you start attending training or school this week?" I am just curious since on the website it says " You will only report school or training during the week you actually started attending." And I already attended 2 months before being laid off. Thank you

I just got my paycheck, and there was two health insurance deduction (before tax and after tax) I am really confused, why would the charge me twice? and this is my first check of the month, will they do it also for the second one? That's hella money I am wasting.

I accepted a job offer July 15th, Wednesday contingent upon background check and drug screen. I submitted all paperwork on the 17th Friday. They probably didn't get it until Monday. It's already the 29th of July (9 business days) and I still haven't heard anything from my recruiter, so I called 4 hours ago and just left a voicemail. Still no reply. Can they retract offer without even letting me know?

I found a job weeks ago just 8 minutes away from home. The pay was 10 dollars an hour. Anyway, I've been working there for four days now, and I am seriously disgusted about the condition of the fast food chain. Last night, I opened the sewer in the kitchen to drain water and I saw a bunch of maggots along with stinky smell. While mopping, I also saw maggots crawling around the mop, and it smell so bad. I addressed this to manager and she didn't care. Do you think that's a good reason to quit?? I feel unsafe at work as well, heavy equipments needs to be lifted which pose a high a risk of burning myself.

Water leaked out underneath the kitchen counters Friday night. So Sunday came and the landlord saw me looking for a repair request paper and asked me what's wrong. As soon as I told him, he went bezerk and told me that I should have reported it earlier, which I made an effort but their office was close on weekends. Anyways, he was pissed that I didn't tell him early, and he started harassing me that I may held liable for this, and might not renew the lease for not taking care of things. Which is not our fault in any case, it's underneath the counter and a maintenance problem. Does he have a point or is he overreacting, I made an effort to tell them but apparently 2 nights is too late for them.

In oct 14 My roommate signed a paper that indicates that he s a tenant. Today is halloween, rent is due tom and yesterday he texted me that he s moving out in a week due to an emergency. He gave me 180 bucks. I find this highly unethical, he didn t even gave us a proper notice, not to mention the stress of finding money to cover up the cost. In legal terms, can he just move out without the land lords consent? Thank you

Hello, I have an unpaid medical bill amounting, $960, and has not been paid for a year. I got a letter from a debt collector trying to settle my account in full if I pay them 50% of what I owe in 2 weeks. I know its already bad but if I take this offer, will my bill really be settled? I have no credit history at the moment, was this already reported or hurt me even if I don't have any credit cards?

i need to apply for EDD. my mom had a surgery and will come back to work after two months. I am going to apply online but I am having trouble which to choose, because there are 4 options: claimants, physician, voluntary or employer? thank you

I work one job, part time, and had a gross of $450, my net pay was only $375 after deducting $76 from taxes, is this normal?? I was hoping to get more $ after adding more hours, this is disappointing. Please help

I am writing to appeal my insurance that's going to be cut off next year. I am worried of my insurance being dropped, as I mistakenly discontinued it. I am still hoping that you can reinstate my insurance for next year.

I decided to cut it, because I thought Medicare was really intended for elderlies like me, but having no prior knowledge about the program, I still decided to cut Health net just to be on Medicare. After a month, I went to my doctor and she explained about Medicare. I felt surprised and upset, as I just removed my insurance, moreover missed the deadline to renew my insurance. I admit my mistake of not taking necessary precautions of my actions. I have been on Health net for years and I am very much satisfied with the plans and services that I have. I am asking this because I can’t afford losing my insurance at his age.

Please understand that I thought Medicare would be beneficial for me, but I realized that the drawbacks outweigh the benefits. I hope you can give me a second chance, and thank you for considering this appeal.

I ordered mine and my moms tax transcript, and it shows her income but in my name and social security number. I think she has two figures in her transcript, i know its confusing but i really need for my financial aid. Should i call SS? my mom filed her tax twice, because she waited three months and never got her refund so she filed again at H R block and was successful. They told me i should call SS but idk how to explain it, its complicated.

Goodyear is actually charging me $2,100 for it, and I just thought its a rip off if I continue to get it fix, because I bought it for $3000. My budget is only 1500, and I already posted an ad on CL, selling it for 650.(because of its repair cost) I can probably save that 1500 and buy a nicer car? What do you think? What would be beneficial for me?

My brother changed his behavior recently. Her wife is getting really worried because his been accusing her of being a slut with almost every guy including my uncle! I was scared because I never seen him like this, he seems to be jealous on everyone, and even mistrust people who he trusted before. He's paranoid and I'm scared. Is he dangerous? His wife told me that he took a substance/drug before. Not sure when

Long story, but my mom and I had a fight. Last two years, my mom and brother also had a fight with lots of cursing. After that, my mom never wanted to see my brother saying that my brother ain't her son anymore. Now, she's mad at him, that when I make mistakes he compares me to my brother. Today, she was pissed because I let my bro borrow my car. BTW its my own car and I bought it with my own money. She rants this morning about it, my patience was full so I answered her back and walked away. She followed me and told how disrespectful I am, and how my behavior had changed since I went to us. She said I can grab my things and go join my brother. I really wanted too, I am 18, the only thing is her age 66, and she will never forgive me If I move away. Pls enlighten me!
