Just a small town girl, living in a lonely world. I took the midnight train going anywhere.

  • How much does a tongue piercing hurt?

I wanna get my tongue pierced in December and I'm wondering what to expect pain and swelling wise? I've wanted to do it for years but there's always been valid reasons not to get it done. So, I'm tying to figure out what to expect pain and swelling wise.

    Any advice or input helps?

  • Extremely poor hand and foot circulation?

Anyone have any suggestions for my hands and feet? Very poor circulation, always extremely cold no matter what I do. I know it doesn't help that I sit all day for work. But I need some suggestions it's unbearable. My hands can be warmed up by running hot water over them, but for my feet I have no solutions.

The office is warm. It's really warm. The rest of my body is always warm too. But my hands, nope. And my feet, holy crap. My feet even in warm, fuzzy socks... and tucked under me... they aren't warm. They are always freezing. I need help with this it's unbearable I'm honestly ready to sit on the counter in the bathroom and run my feet under hot water.

    Any suggestions?

  • How do I ask my boss to be a little less... Disgusting?

Okay, crappy question I know, but entirely valid I promise.

So I started working in an office space about 3-4 months ago. Everything is great. My boss is a wonderful older asian lady who is one of the kindest people I've ever met. But I have a small issue.

In this office there are 3 of us in total. Me, my boss and my other boss. My other (male) boss works out in the warehouse (ish) area all day long and has his own bathroom. My female boss and I share a toilet.

Every time my boss goes to the bathroom, she seems to pee on the seat and not notice. So every time I go pee, I have to wipe her pee of the toilet seat. There have even been some days where she has left the toilet full... While on her period.

Seeing as she's my boss and she's so kind I'm not sure how to approach this subject. I don't like being straightforward with her as this can sometimes lead to a communication issue and then other issues ensue.

Does anyone have any advice on how to approach this?

  • Before Donald Trump, had any other presidents had whistleblower complaints against them?

I know it's been a long standing thing most likely - the laws surrounding whistleblowers. And I know we've had some unrelated to presidents. However, I'm wondering, in the case of specifically presidents.

Before Donald Trump, had the whistleblower complaint gone against any other president while in office? And if so, who and for what purpose?

  • Can your physician give you a referral without actually having to see you? (Province of Ontario)?

Here's how to explain this the best way possible - with as much detail as possible - so I get the best possible answer.

    - I'm trying to get my doctor to make two referrals for me

    - One is for chronic back pain (spinal surgery several year ago, chronic pain ever since, worsening, yet no caused has so far been discovered)

    - One is for a mental health care facility within my area (steeply declining mental health status lately)

    - I have seen my doctor within the last between 6-12 months for both of these issues

    - He has a pain specialist/orthopedic surgeon he wanted to send me two after I left last time, but insisted on seeing me again

    - There's a mental health care facility within my area - which is better than any help he has offered me within the last year or two. Anywhere his office is connected to has either so far failed at providing proper care OR is more stressful to get to/deal with than I can tolerate

    - I've been trying to avoid having to physically see him again. Last time I went, I went with my mom and a whole slew of medical issues. This ultimately lead to me needing extra time, and him being extremely disrespectful (to the point where I left the room he made a rude comment to my mom that had her trying not to punch him, so I could get any semblance of help). Every time I go I have to spend MIN 1.5 hours waiting, max 3 for my allotted apt. time. And he had complained about me taking up his time in office and making him stay longer.

  • Best way for someone VERY out of shape to lose weight?

So, I'm VERY out of shape. I'm only slightly overweight, but I'm very out of shape. I'm like... I walk up a flight of stairs and I get sore and out of breath. I've also got slight back problems (had a spinal fusion), slight hip problems (they took bone from my hip), and haven't really been active in YEARS. I eat a lot of crap - which I'm going to stop doing - and I consume A LOT of pop (again, I'm going to stop altogether). I also have no access to a gym.

So I want to get into overall better shape. But I'm not sure how to go about doing this. The problem is I've been out of shape for so long that running hurts, exercise hurts, my lungs suck... Again, I have to do everything at home.

I'm also interested in keeping my butt, and just toning it. As well, I'm aiming to lose some of the tummy before October 11th as I'm going on a trip with my boyfriend, there will be a hot tub, and I want to look... Better than I do. I've been really down on myself and have had real low self esteem the last little while. I don't remember the last time my boyfriend got to see me naked, and I would like to change it by feeling better about myself and my own body.

Any exercise or diet tips are welcome and encouraged.

    Thank you.
