Extremely poor hand and foot circulation?

Anyone have any suggestions for my hands and feet? Very poor circulation, always extremely cold no matter what I do. I know it doesn't help that I sit all day for work. But I need some suggestions it's unbearable. My hands can be warmed up by running hot water over them, but for my feet I have no solutions.

The office is warm. It's really warm. The rest of my body is always warm too. But my hands, nope. And my feet, holy crap. My feet even in warm, fuzzy socks... and tucked under me... they aren't warm. They are always freezing. I need help with this it's unbearable I'm honestly ready to sit on the counter in the bathroom and run my feet under hot water.

Any suggestions?

For one thing, do not use hot water to warm up.  The temperature change is too rapid, which can damage nerves and blood vessels and make the problem get progressively worse.   Use luke warm water at first and then slowly raise the water temperature as you warm up.

There's not any treatments that are likely to make a big difference in your circulation.  The most effective remedy may be getting regular aerobic exercise and toning the muscles in your arms and legs.   Other things that may help somewhat are wiggling your feet periodically and wearing loose-fitting shoes so you can wiggle your toes.

Medications and supplements have limited effectiveness, but may help somewhat.  Dietary supplements such as L-citrulline, L-arginine, magnesium and coenzyme Q10 are moderately effective vasodilators.  You might search for products containing these ingredients.

You may need to have your blood checked or it could be your arteries are getting clogged up. It might even be your heart. Do you sit with your legs crossed?

I had this issue. Mine was a simple fix.. I went to a masseuse/acupuncturist. A few sessions with him and I no longer have this problem.

I had so many knots from being tight (not stretching, office job, bad posture, working out) and these knots restrict blood flow. After my first session the problem got better but returned.. I went 2 more times (once a week) and surprisingly the guy was right .. my circulation now hits everything including my hands and feet .

MOVE and WALK AROUND. Sitting on your brains all day isn't good.

Talk to your doctor about whether you might have Reyes Syndrome.

If you don't, the solution is not to bundle up a cold extremity, which would hold in the warmth it doesn't have, nor is it to tuck it under, which further impedes circulation. It's to move around a great deal more. Get your heart pumping a little harder and more blood gets to those icy hands and feet.

So that means don't send the email but go to that person's office to ask your quick question. It means stand at your desk when you can, and get up and walk in your workspace while you're on the phone. Make a point of being in motion frequently.

It also means dressing warmer all over, so your body core has the heat to "share." And it might mean having an electrical or microwavable heat pack for your feet. I live where it's quite cold, and lots of people have these.
