To anyone who picks my answers as Best Answer: THANK YOU !! It's nice to be listened to, and that you take what I have to say to heart. I'm up for anything ... except folks who waste their time telling me how how judgemental I am. I really don't give a rat's ass if you think I'm judgmental. You saying that I'M judgemental is YOU making your OWN judgment about ME, anyway! Nice double standard. Besides, you're in here asking for opinions on stuff, so how can you ask for input, and then turn around and say that we are judgmental ? For all you friendly folks still with me, I'm just a girl who likes to have a good time, and to help people whenever I can. That's why I'm in here: to see if there's someone who might benefit from the life experience I have. If I don't respond to an email, it's 'cos of a sometime glitch that keeps me from it. Apologies!! If I have you blocked, it's because I simply don't want to hear i

  • Since when are we limited in the length of our answers?

Never once have I been given the prompt to remove text from an answer, but that happened a minute ago.

I admit to being long winded at times, but have always typed my answers freely without any indication that my answers were too long. Just now, I was given the prompt to 'remove irrelevant information' without telling me HOW MUCH I had gone over. This meant that I had to try removing stuff, check for length (still too long), try removing more stuff again ... check for length again ... still too long ... but I don't know how much more stuff to remove, so I keep taking stuff off ... but can't there be a little thing that says how far we've gone over so we know HOW MUCH TO REMOVE !?!??!

    Please?

  • Why can't I reply to my emails using the 'Reply To This Email' link in YA ?

Recently, I have been bothered by an inability to respond to emails using the 'Reply To This Email' link contained in the email via the YA site. When I hit that link, I am sent to my profile (how that happens is also a mystery.) When I hit the link to the senders profile in YA, again I am returned to MY profile.

What can be done about this? Is it a glitch that needs to be addressed and fixed ... perhaps ??

  • For the past few weeks, when I get a message from another user, I'm unable to respond ...?

When I hit the 'Reply To This Message' link, it goes to my own profile. If I hit the message sender's profile link, it also goes to my own profile. Has anyone else had this problem? Can someone from YA please fix this?

  • Anyone know of a good website for song lyrics?

All the sites I've been to all have pop-ups that take forEVER to come up, and then I have to dig through all the other windows on my desktop and minimize them all whenever the pop-ups appear. I have my pop-up blocker set for high and I can hear it blocking other pop-ups, but the ones that get through are really annoying.

Is there a good site that doesn't have pop-ups?

Rock on, eveyone, and thanks for your answers.

  • Why shouldn't we want Obama's policies to fail ?!?

Coming from the middle as I do (mostly left on most social issues, but mostly right on ecomic and security issues), what amazes me is how our last administration had to listen to everyone bash them up one side and down the other, and say that they hoped Bush would fail ... but now that a few people have said that they think Obama's policies suck and that they should fail, everyone's up in arms.

Are Democrats really that obtuse to think that no one's going to notice the depth of stupidity that seems to have pervaded their party and the way these new policies are taking this country?

  • "W" and "Y" as vowels or consonants?

How do we tell when these letters are being used as a vowel or a consonant? In particular, Dwight D Eisenhower ... is the "w" in "Eisenhower" a consonant or a vowel, and how do we know?

  • How do you get clear Pyrex baking dishes all sparkly clean again?

You know how there's that transparent brown sludge'y stuff that never comes off, no matter how hard you scrub? Isn't there something that will cut thru it and dissolve it? Thanks in advance, and I'd like to give someone 10 pts if they give me a solution that works, but I don't know how to give the points, so if someone can tell me that, too ... bonus !

  • How do I email someone from the staff of Yahoo Answers?

I have something I want to ask someone, but I don't want it answered in a forum, or another public place. I just want a link where I can ask someone on staff a question.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I've been looking for the "Contact Us" email link on every page in here, and I just can't find it.

    Help ?

  • What to do with left-over tri tip?

I lucked out at the market and got a gorgeous piece of tri-tip that's big enough to feed 4 people, but there's only 2 of us. There's a huge chunk left over and I haven't a clue what to do with it tomorrow. We're not big sandwich eaters, and I guess I'm wondering how it would be to reheat as it is, or if anyone has some ideas. The meat was roasted in the oven and it's perfectly medium-rare.

    Cheers !

  • What are the odds of rolling the same roll three times in a row ? I know 1/36 for each roll, but 3 in a row?

I play backgammon at a website that swears up and down that the number generator is random. However, in nearly every game I play, I get back to back rolls, and often the same roll 3 in a row. I have no data whether this should be commonplace and would appreciate some help. The probability of any one roll is 1/36, although many rolls can be accomplished more than one way ... however, sincerely, what are the odds of 2 or 3 in a row. Anyone ?
