Why shouldn't we want Obama's policies to fail ?!?

Coming from the middle as I do (mostly left on most social issues, but mostly right on ecomic and security issues), what amazes me is how our last administration had to listen to everyone bash them up one side and down the other, and say that they hoped Bush would fail ... but now that a few people have said that they think Obama's policies suck and that they should fail, everyone's up in arms.

Are Democrats really that obtuse to think that no one's going to notice the depth of stupidity that seems to have pervaded their party and the way these new policies are taking this country?

Update:

I'm just wondering if there's ONE genuine Democrat who will cop to the double standard without trying to spin it in their favor.

Update 2:

To Jx2: When the proposed solution to any situation only makes it infinitely worse than it already is, the smart thing (for Obama to do) would be to come up with something better.

I was waiting for someone to bring up 9/11 and Katrina ... like either of those was Bush's fault. I live in a place where disasters happen all the time - earthuake country, and I can tell you with zero hesitation that the FIRST responsibility for disaster aftermath lies with the individual, NEXT is the LOCAL government (read: the Mayor), THEN comes the STATE, or the Governor and LAST is the Federal Government, so for anyone to blame Bush for the aftermath of Katrina is to be ignorant, mis-informed and wrong. The mayor and governor should have been evacuating people DAYS in advance and they didn't. You're barking up the wrong tree, in a very big way, to blame Bush. You might also think of the year or 2 before Katrina hit ... I have more to say but I'm almost out of space, so I'll finish in a minute.

Update 3:

In 2003 and 2004, the state of Florida was hit with 5 hurricanes, 1 of which was a category 4. The number of people displaced by katrina pales when you look at the number of people displaced in these 5 hurricanes. There was not one major complaint in the media about how FEMA handled any of people, no public outcry for how the local mayors handled it, nor for how the state government handled it. Do you want to know why that is? It's because they know what they're doing ! foir decades, Florida has been in the path of destruction, and what sets them apart from Louisiana is that Louisiana was complacent, lazy and corrupt. They were given warnings 35 years ago to fortify their levies but they didn't.

9/11 has been brewing since 1972 Munich Olympics and the Iran hostage crisis in 1979, but Bush is the and ONLY President with the guts to take the terrotists on. Negotiation does not work. Reagan knew it, which is why he went in and got the hostages out in 1980. WAKE UP !!!

An honest sounding post. That fails to ask the real question, "What happens if he fails? What happens if his views for the economy fails?

What happens if his views on health care fails? Has anyone offered an alternate vision. Nothing magically goes away. We are still in the same "F"ing spot. Where are the other proposals. Those that would derail change have an obligation to offer a completely detailed plan and as of yet I have seen little evidence that they can do that. That is why they have been labeled as the party of NO. They care little for finding compromise, they are more concerned with bringing down Obama.

Can you say with a straight face that bush didn't place the nation in a bad spot . What did bush do right? Really? He was put in office by the supreme court. FACT 9/11 happened on his watch,so did Katrina.

That list could go on and on and on.

There is no double standard. How can you compare 6 months to 8 horrible years?

    ADD

    Allow me this retort.

Nearly 3/4 of the population wants health care reform so it very doubtful to claim that everybody

    thinks that his policies SUCK.

In addition, it seems like pretty smug advice coming from the party that will not or could not articulate an alternative, rather they will just sit on the sidelines and and yell socialist. With respect to 9/11 & Katrina, I would begrudgingly give him the benefit of the doubt that he was powerless to prevent them but he completely failed at his leadership position to deal with the aftermath in a meaningful way. His handling was a complete embarrassment to the nation and just another item to be added to the list of "F" ups.

Because with the amount of money he's spending he's basically putting the country all in. If his policies fail that's it, game over, we never recover. He's left us no outs, either his policies succeed or we claim bankruptcy as a nation and enter a period even darker than the great depression.

When the only option besides success is total, crushing failure, you have to hope for success.

It's not a matter of wanting on my part. I draw a government-issued check, in an indirect manner, and depend on the stability of federal funds for the continuation of my work. It's a matter of knowing, and realizing that I can't stop it that gets me.

    Peace

Democrats only care about themselves and their leaders policy's. They have SPLIT our Country in 1/2. Them against everyone else who doesn't think like they do.

That is about the size of it.

The Democrats in our Government PUSHED Bush Propaganda to the hill. What a disgrace. All to win an election.

His policies are already in the pipeline and they are destructive and counter productive for Americans . We made a mistake by electing a poor leader who doesn't care about the American people .

The last administration went to war with a country that had no weapons of mass destruction.

Well if Barry gets his way his policies will destroy our economy, because nobody will be able to afford to pay the outrageous taxes he wants to levy against everyone.

Because if they're passed and they do fail, the worst case scenario happens, which is bad for America.

No matter who the President is we should support him but it`s getting harder and harder the more he spends putting America further into debt.

We should want Obama's policies to fail. They're all wrong for America.
