  • Hostess Bakery filing for chapter 7 (total liquidation). Who is at fault the union or the company?

Negotiations broke down tonight and all talks between management and the union are defunct. Hostess started the paper work to sell off its assets and dissolve the company.

Note: they are also closing Drake and Wonder Bread .

  • If you were in this situation what would you do with your time left.?

I have been expecting this bad news for some time. Yesterday the doctors at Johns Hopkins gave me the news that I am no longer responding to the medications nor do I qualify for a heart transplant. There are more details on the prognosis but I don't want to go into them now.

However the cardiologists and the heart surgeon team concluded the I may have 4 to 8 weeks to live. They said from here on out I will get weaker and eventually have to use a wheel chair to get around.

I am already on 4 liters of oxygen just to stay alive. But let me tell you this is not living, it just existing.

I have no fear of dying because I believe in God and Jesus. I have taken that trip 3 times in the past 2 years but was able to be zapped back. Not a very enjoyable thing. So I signed a do not resuscitate order.. My question to you:

If you were in this situation what would you do with your time left.?

  • Why can I do to beef up the rear suspension of a 2007 Chevy HHR LS?

I bought a portable rack for the back of my car to carry a scooter which weighes about 105 pounds. The rack also weighs about 100 pounds. Total weight around 200 ponds. It fits into my trailer hitch.

I want to have the suspension beefed up to carry it but I do not want the car to ride like a truck. In the past I would have just put air shocks on it but I was not able to find any on the internet for this car.

I like to put coil over shock on this car without buying racing shocks.

Does any one have the name of a company that makes these type of shocks that do not cost $1,000?

  • Should the teacher who Ridiculed the student for Romney T-Shirt be fired?

    Story from CNBC http://www.cnbc.com/id/49294228

Do you believe a student wearing a pro-Obama T-Shirt in a Philadelphia school would have been subject to the kind of humiliation that Samantha Pawlucy was forced to endure.

I say this teacher should be fired.

  • I have an executor of a will question?

I am or was the executor of a will and I followed all the laws. I filed with the county seat Register of Wills and they placed the notices in a business paper for creditors to make a claim against the estate. I waited the 9 months waiting period (as mandated by law) and then went to final accounting where the will was settled. Then I distributed the property in accordance with the will.

That was 3 months ago. Now a creditor appears and sent me notice he had a very large signature loan for over 100K. And they demand payment. I saw the loan papers and I am certain it is his (the deceased) signature on the loan.

However the assets have already been distributed so there is nothing left. This creditor failed to file a claim against the estate. They are saying I am responsible and I have to pay the loan.

My question is "If they failed to file in a timely manor, does this loan have to be repaid or is the creditor out .?

I don't have $100K to give them and the house was already sold and divided up.

    Any help would be appreciated.

  • Black hurricanes? I am NOT making this up!?

This story is verified on Snopes.com

    http://www.snopes.com/racial/language/hurricane.as...

Just when you think you have heard all of the stupid things that are going on in the US -- this comes along.....Black hurricanes....

Well, it appears our African-American friends have found yet something else to be pissed about.. A black congresswoman (this would be Sheila Jackson Lee, of Houston reportedly complained that the names of hurricanes are all Caucasian sounding names. She would prefer some names that reflect African-American culture such as Chamiqua, Tanisha, Woeisha, Shaquille, and Jamal.

She would also like the weather reports to be broadcast in 'language' that street people can understand because one of the problems that happened in New Orleans was, that black people couldn't understand the seriousness of the situation, due to the racially biased language of the weather report.

I guess if the weather person says that the winds are going to blow at 140+ MPH, that's too hard to understand

This is hypothetical but just what would a Street talk weather report sound like?

A weatherman in New Orleans says...

Wazzup, mutha-fukkas! Hehr-i-cane Chamiqua be headin' fo' yo @$$ like Leroy on a rocket! This bit ch be a category fo'!

So, turn off dem chitlins, grab yo' chirren, leave yo crib, and head fo' de nearest FEMA office fo yo safety.

Is this the fault of our failed educational system?

  • How do I write an eulugy?

I have been asked to delivery the eulogy for a very close friend. I have never had to do this before and like some help. How do I start, what is appropriated to include. And how to end it. I like to keep it around 5 minutes or less.

I have been helping his wife plan the funeral. I contacted and arranged for the following.

He is former Special Forces who was highly decorated and the Rangers are sending a team for a 21 gun salute.

He is a Grand Knight in the Knights of Columbus and they are sending the full color guard.

The American Legion and VFW are both sending chaplains.

Then on top of that I have been asked to delivery the eulogy which is scaring the "H" out of me.

    Any Ideas?

A TALE OF TWO STATES - Maryland vs. Virginia

    A real eye opener

Both Governors are the leaders on their national governors party

    Why is this important?

Governor O’Malley of Maryland is being groomed for the DNC’s 2016 presidential run

As he runs the state so he would run the nation

  • I am often asked what Vietnam was like.?

I know this is not a question but I am often asked about Vietnam. Words can do no justice. I found these pictures in the Denver Post archives. This is nothing to what was really happening and what we were exposed to

    http://blogs.denverpost.com/captured/2012/05/15/ph...

I just want to share this with you so you can see just some of the insanity. I spent 18 month there. Often out in the field with no contact with base. Communications were not what they are today. A Walkie Talkie weighted 35 pounds.

Write some comments as to what you feel about war. I think is sucks.

  • What will the Obama Campaign pull as this election's October surprise?

There is always an October surprise pulled to discredit the opponent in October. Even though these, in the past, have proven to be lies, it usually causes enough confusion to defeat the opponent because the facts usually don't get out until after the election.

This is purely conjecture because I can't think on a level as low and slimy as the Obama team.

  • What do you think of these union presidents increase in salaries while their base lose their jobs?

As a group, the top 25 union bosses saw their pay rise on average by 88.2 percent between 2000 and 2011. By contrast, compensation for corporate CEOs during that period decreased by 37.7 percent or 44.5 percent, depending upon whether stock options are included.

The highest increase was Michael Sullivan President of the Sheet Metal Workers Union with a big 341% increase.
