So there's this cute girl @ that rides my bus and goes to my school. She also gets off at the same bus stop as I do. She seems nice, and it would take away the awkwardness of us walking the same way home, but not talking if we became friends. We're both juniors and she just started riding the bus about a month or two ago. Is it too late for me to say something to her after already 2 months of walking the same way and not talking?

I was thinking of something like this:

"Hey, I think you dropped something"

Her: "huh? *turns around looking on the ground*"

"I'm just kidding, I actually wanted to say hi. So hey I'm mark :)"

And go from there. Too corny? Does it sound like a pick up line? I wanna get to know her first, not go straight "for the kill".

So, I'm 16 and an immigrant. My dad is a citizen and I will be too in about 3 years. But I want to get a job before then. Can I get a work permit? I live in MD btw. I know I need proof of birth, etc. But will I be able to work @ 16yrs (maybe 17yrs since ill probly try to look for a job 2012 Summer, after spring sports)? Thanks!

My lacrosse pinnie is too big and i'd have to buy another one, which i'd rather not. It'd be like $20 and 2 weeks delivery. Is there anyway to shrink it? Its made out pretty much the same material other jerseys are..I think its polyester and its thin..thanks!

All opinions are welcome, I just wanna know how and when you think the world will end. Here's mine:

There will be wide spread sickness, millions will seemingly disappear. There will be chaos everywhere, stealing, killing, etc. Then the government will want to take control "for our own good" and merge with other countries under a worldwide authoritarian government. Then, things will seemingly get better economically (since money runs the world) and the government will give us all some sort of chips that'll be implanted onto our foreheads or right hands that can be used to buy things such as groceries, clothes, etc. And all you need to do is swipe your hand or scan your forehead to buy something. That easy. But if you choose not to accept this "chip" youu will be killed. So...years go by and things seem dandy and getting back to "normal" but then something will happen..I don't quite have a clue what.

If you haven't noticed, these are a lot of conspircacies in one. I don't believe in one thing happening, like 2012, world disaster, illuminatti, famine, New world order, the rapture, etc. But a mix of all of them in some way. I know I probly sound crazy, but these are just my thoughts. What're yours? :)

So I'm at a memorial service for my dad's friend and I'm wearing a freakin hoodie. Everyone else has on dress shirts and nice pants but I have jeans and a hoodie on. I feel like a complete doooosh. I didn't mean to come off like this, but I was in a rush and my parents didn't mention anything about my attire being bad. What should I do?

Any tips on my first game? I'm pretty good, but I need to work on catching while on the run and left hand stick skills (I'm working on those!) But any tips that helped/help you?

So my xbox arcade's laser (the thing that reads the discs) isn't working so I will probably have to send it to microsoft to get repaired. But I was thinking, since I think the games are on my console (don't they get saved onto the console's memory?), can I just buy a hard drive and save them onto the hard drive and play they through there? Or do I have to be able to put the games in first, then I can download them to my hard drive?

Doing this would save me the 2 weeks of waiting for the xbox to be sent to microsoft, fixing it, then sending it back. Plus I don't want to risk losing my progress in the games I have.

I'm a junior in HS and will probly take the SAT in mid 2012 (that's when I was recommended to take it)

I heard reading books help, I will probably start doing that.

I really want to be accepted into the colleges I apply to. My grade a pretty good, (A and B student) but getting a scholarship would help my parents soo much!

What could/should I do to make sure I do good? What did you do and what score did you get on your SAT/ACT?

My brothers in 5th grade. He's a creative and caring boy, but is always acting up in school and at home. He's always getting Ds and Es in school and the teacher says how disruptive he his. Also, whenever I help him with his homework, explaining it to him, its like he fails to have common sense. I tell him to make sure he reads the directions properly, but when I check his homework, there's always 80% of the answers wrong..its really frustrating to me and my parents because we tell him over and over how he might fail the fifth grade, get suspended, etc. but its like he doesn't get it. I think he tries to do good, but ends up falling back in the same routines.

Personally, I think he may have ADD or ADHD or something. Because he is always running around the house, wanting to play outside and when we tell him to stop, he pouts around (I know not too abnormal among children) and just disrespects people (like if my dad told him to pick up his toys, he'll be like "ughhhh" and slowlyyyyy pick them up, probably trying to irritate my dad). And he never wants to sit still, and (I think, but haven't specifically observed) has trouble concentrating on things for a long time, which isn't something we want to be the case in school, where he should concentrate on what the teacher says, not talk, and understand and learn so he can do his homework properly.

Don't get me wrong, he's a good and smart kid, he isn't mentally unstable or anything, we play outside and have fun and all, there's just has some stuff he needs to work on.

What do you guys think? Have any children in your life like this? Thanks!

So my mom, dad, and I (I'm a 16yr old right now btw) were all born in another country (Kenya, Africa). After coming to America in 1998, we have been trying to get citizenship to be legal residents. Well my dad got his green card a couple months back (LEGALLY) and he has filed for me and my mom. Well its taking forever for me and my mom to get our green cards (I wanna drive, get a job, etc. Like a normal teen :( !)

Anyway, I also want to get a learners permit and also play lacrosse for my school. I think they ask for birth certificates, and since in not a citizen yet, I think I won't be able to play.... if they find out me and my mom aren't citizens yet can we get "reported" and her/me get arrested? And I'm not sure if I need a birth certificate for my learners permit(which is before the license AKA I can drive with a parent and not after dark) but if I do, can the same situation happen? Can we get in trouble for not being citizens yet?

PLEASE HELP....I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO AND ITS NOT MY FAULT I'M NOT A CITIZEN YET! How long can it take for me and my mom to get our citizenships/green cards since my dad filed for us like 6 months ago? Thank you in advance.

The problem is...I'm an illegal immigrant, so I don't have a socia security # or citizenship, etc. I was born in another country, but came to the US with my parents when I was 3. My dad just got his green card like 6 months ago and he has filed for me and my mom but he said that it could take like 3 years or more for me to get mine (his guessnot necessarily official info). I can't wait 3 years till I can get a job or license! I am going to college in like 2 years and I want to get a job before then, to have some spending money, my own apartment, etc. Just feel like a self-sustaining adult, you know? So my question is...how can I get a job or license (or even drivers permit) if I'm an ilegal immigrant? Its sooo frustrating because all my friends have their permits, but I sometimes lie and say I have mine too because I don't want people being like "you're an illegal immigrant??"....so what do I do, or what advice can you give me?..thanks :)

I'm a junior in high school and I wanted to play 2 sports this year:

Indoor track in the winter and lacrosse in the spring. I was just wondering if you need to show your coach or someone your birth certificate and what kind of paperwork you need to play sports (I heard about sports physicals, but idk how they work...do you book it with your reg. Doctor or call someone else...I'm confused)

I feel like God doesn't listen to me or that he hates me or something because I'm always praying and believing for God to do something but he doesn't...I need help....

My tooth (between my kanine, a.k.a. the sharp one and my left front tooth) has been hurting. Idk if its a cavity or not but here's what's been happening..

When I drink cold water, it feels as if the water seaps through the tooth to the core of the tooth and it hurts really bad. Same thing with hot food. I can sometimes feel it hurting when I'm just standing or sitting there too.

I use sensidyne or however u spell that toothpaste and listerine and floss everyday so not sure what's up. Any help please!

I'm stuck between Subway, Taco Bell, and McDonalds. The thing is, Taco Bell is kinda far away and my dad would unwillingly take me there, but whatever. And I don't know if I could just get MickeyDs or Subway because its healthier..
