  • Acer Apire One AOD270 - will it run Adobe cs5.5 programs?

Does anybody out there own this unit?

If not, experts, I need your thoughts on this.

I'm thinking of purchasing this unit since ultrabooks for me are too much in the pocket.

The specs of this unit are the following:

    Intel Atom N2800 1.86 GHz, 2GB DDR3, 500GB HD.

I know it will lag but will I still get my work done?

I won't be using Adobe programs a lot... maybe 4 or 5 times in a total for 50 - 60 hours in a month. Most of the time I'll just be using this for browsing, writing, and conducting classes via Skype; and a little movie watching and a lot more writing.

I presently work on a desktop that's Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 @ 3.00 GHz, and a 2GB of DDR2. Seems to be satisfying even it doesn't open images right away when I use Adobe Indesign. The objective for me is getting work done and I do get it done.

If you have a better processor recommendation or suggestion to make this netbook work better on the adobe programs I'll be using, I really will appreciate the input.

  • Best Netbook for Adobe CS 5.5?

I'm looking to buy a netbook (smaller notebook) that I can bring with me in my travels.

I do a lot of writing and layout for a newspaper (Adobe in Design, Photoshop, & Illustrator) so it's quite important that I find one with really good specs. I'd like to get one with an i5 processor.

    Any recommendations?

  • Is it possible to lose 55 pounds in 24 weeks? How?

"Miss.englishblabber" is about 176 pounds, big bone structure for an Asian descent and 5'3.

"Miss.englishblabber" needs to lose 55 pounds.

I've worked out before and have gone down to 143 but have gone back up after I came home from a year of being away in Italy. Over the next two years I've gained back 35 and added 20 pounds. Bad choice of food and a busier lifestyle than usual because of my teaching.

After watching reruns of Biggest Loser recently, and have become amazed over and over how those 200 - 300 pounders lose 50 pounds at the very least, I told myself "Why can't I do just that?!"

Any good advice out there? I might be able to spare 1-2 hours a day of my time during weekdays.

Here are the activities that I've done in the past. Perhaps you might be able to help me make a good 5 day workout in a week in less than 45 minutes.

    -Pilates (20 minutes)

-Climbing stairs (20 times up and 20 times down on a 15 steps flight)

    -Power walk (30 minutes)

    -Walking (30- 45 minutes)

-Swimming (30 minutes worth of 15 meter laps)

-Dance Revolution (45 - 120 minutes I consider this exercise because it really makes me sweat like fat in a sauna. I've done 2 hours as a regular exercise 6 years ago.)

    -Tai Chi (20 minutes)

I appreciate you reading this blabber.

  • Wavy to Perm to Straight? How long do I wait?

I've always had wavy hair. Then I decided to perm it. I only wanted the nice sized curls but the people at the salon gave me frizzy little ringlets that made me look like I came out of an 80's Madonna video.

It's been 2 days that I've been sporting the 80's comeback 'do. But I would like to go straight if I can't go back to being my natural wave.

How long must I wait, until can go back to the salon and ask to give me a straight hair?

    Any other suggestions are welcome.

Is it possible to lose a total of 50POUNDS of weight by commiting to an everyday 20-minute pilates workout for a whole year??? Of course, the food intake would be just a normal portion and no binging.

Any expert here who can answer this?

  • Is it okay to dye again just after you've dyed new?

I have black hair. Dyed it burgundy last Monday; used Garnier Nutrisse. But my hair still remains dark as ever. It has a slight red but only when light hits it. Since I didn't get the result I wanted, I want to dye it again. Is it okay if I dye my hair again? I'm going for more red this time. But is it okay for the hair???? Has anyone done what I am about to do? Would appreciate your opinion.

  • A long distance "friendship"... what's with this relationship?

Found a friend at Y!M 7 years ago. We've been strangely "close" online and we have had periods of hours spending time chatting and laughing through the years. You could say that he's my best online friend???

But a few years back he got into a mood to propose (in his weird funny, kindda joking way). And being a fresh graduate from college with a career oriented drive, I (in my confused mind) said no.

I have fallen for the guy somewhere in year 2, 3, and 4. And I love the guy enough to see him the happiest with someone else.

We're still friends and we still have "the bond" in our friendship. We still do the same stuff when we find ourselves online.

    But where is this going?

I have never committed myself to any relationship because I am just happy being single.

But he's never committed himself to any as well.

What's with this relationship? Any ideas on where this is going? and do I need to do something about it?

Thanks for taking time to read my blabber. >__<

  • What is your best weight loss tip for someone who doesn't exercise too often?

There's not much time for me to exercise because of my business that requires a lot of hands-on work. I exercise whenever I can but sometimes I don't have enough interest or rather too tired to even do it.

What's your best advice to loose 10 - 20 pounds in a month? I need to look my best for a business meeting in a month.

Thank you so much for taking up the time to fuss over my blabber. ^__^
