  • Dell Laptop Wont Turn Back On for more than 3 seconds.?

My Dell Latitude Laptop was starting up after a few try, sometimes only the fan comes on for 3 seconds then shut down. Now the computer won't come on at all, only turns on with the fax for 3 seconds the screen remains blank. Before after a few tries I could get it on, then it took longer and longer, now it just won't turn on at all with the exception of the fax, like it trying to turn on but cannot.

  • Escrow Closed Home is Vacant: No Keys?

We closed escrow on Friday, the home is legally ours, the seller has moved out but refuses to give us the keys until he gets his money from escrow Monday morning. The home is vacant!

No part of the contract is it contingent upon them receiving the funds into there bank account, and the contract says they give us possession the day of close.

If thy are moved out can we move in, as possession is 9/10 of the law? It is our home legally and we have paperwork to prove it. Can we have the sheriff assist us in this?

I know we can sue them for damages later, the goal is to move in over the weekend, what are our options on a vacant home.

  • used car warranty, repair denied had car 1.5 weeks?

Bought a used car at a large brand name dealership, the A/C condenser has a leak and its $800 to fix. The car has a 60 day 100% labor and 100% parts warranty. It was less than 2 weeks and we found the problem. They say the A/C is not covered, although it not excluded on the warranty paperwork. Also says under state law "implied warranties" may give more rights... In California.

  • Best Buy Rep Asked Address and Electronics in our house?

At Best Buy the sales guy was weird when I purchased a laptop he took our address, that all seemed normal. Then he went on to ask what other electronic we have at our house and what part of town we are in, almost seemed like he is casing out our house.

Are these normal questions from Best Buy reps? My husband was smart and answered we have an alarm, surveillance camera etc, but was kind of spooky. Maybe I am nervous but think this guy may send some junkies over to steal from us??

  • Proper etiquette if cashier run up wrong?

I waiting in a long line, as we were leaving the cashier we noticed they ran up the item wrong (wrong price etc). The guy behind us was already being rang up, so we waited until she completed his checkout.

Then I said excuse me and told the cashier of the problem and said sorry to the person next in line being the guy being rung up. He starting yelling telling me we need to wait again in the 45 min line again and it his turn and he should be done already.

I told him we waited already and only noticed the discrepancy after we finished the transaction we did not walk more than 3' away from the register. He said too bad back to end of the line, and was very rude, he threatened that he would wait for us in the parking lot and resolve this. The guy behind him told him to calm down, and the cashier said do I need to call security to both of us.

What is the proper etiquette if cashier run up wrong, must we wait again, or should the customer next in line be polite and allow you to clear up the incorrect items?
