Yesterday while at work my power went out and upon restarting my computer I have noticed that any program (from Firefox, Google, Guild Wars to just about any computer program) I try to open opens a window asking me to Choose which program I would like to use to open the file. I cant even open System Restore because I am not sure which "program" I would pick to open the thing with. But I am wanting to avoid restoring if at all possible. I think it has something to do with my registries but cant even open that to have a look around. Anyone have any ideas how to fix this problem? Thanks!

Hey I am looking for the title of an old alien-ish movie. The main character is an alien but the movie isnt really *about* aliens. I think the main char was David Bowie. He to earth and gets captured by people he trusted and ends up being locked up.. During the movie before being locked up.. i believe he becomes rich lol..weird movie but wanna know the name. thanks .

Hello. First let me give you some details on my daily life and physical..

Im 26 years old, I weigh aprox 130 lbs give or take, Im about 5 foot 7 and eat about once a day ((Yes I know this isnt "healthy" according to the whole nutritional thing and I know you should eat 3 meals a day but Ive eaten once a day for years and its always been fine with me)) Im not anorexic, I dont starve myself or try to lose weight. I am not bullemic, I do not feel the need to induce vomiting after eating. With my lifestyle I am use to this. Never has caused me any problems before.

Now heres my problem.. This started about 4 days ago. I will feel extremely hungry, like starving. Sick feeling, nautious, you know the feeling when you havent eaten days (yet it hadnt been days since ive eaten) Then when I DO eat, I feel hungry again. And kinda sick at my stomach. Now I have to say I am doubtful on Diabetes and Acid Reflux as this is happening to my boyfriend as well. He feels hungry after eating too but this started 2 weeks ago for him. He has about 6 foot 3 and weighs about 305 lbs, give or take. He is a bit over weight and he too eats about once a day ( obviously more portions than I do lol)

Now for the nutrional facts. When we do eat, we eat out. We dont cook at home cause he gets home late and its just cheaper than spending 50 bucks on groceries a day when you can spend 20 a day for 2 people. Usually we will go to Taco Bell.. Burger king.. Subway etc.

Now last night I ate a bean burrito and a chicken burrito , now if youve ever eaten at Taco bell the 2.99 chicken burrito is HUGE and with a bean burrito with it , a person of my size and height SHOULD be full. usually that makes me feel uncomfortable full but for about 4 days I just dont feel satisfied.

Any ideas on what could be wrong with us? Take in to concideration this is happening to both of us so i highly doubt we both have diabetes or etc and have symptoms at the same time lol.

Hello, I am trying to find an old book collection I saw once. I dont remember much about it so try to bare with me. I remember there was like 20 or so books in this collection. The books were black and hard cover. I think the books were from Times since i remember Times being on the front of each book (was not a magezine) Each book had its own numbers 1,2,etc. I remember each book had its own thing like.. I rememeber one was about Demons, witch craft.. one was about Mythilogical creatures ( i remember the loch ness and some half bird hald lizard creature being in the book) In the demon book i remember there being a 2 headed dog demon known to cause death if it bit you. umm.. there was some about ancient cultures.. etc etc. I dont remember much as this was like 13 years ago that I saw these. But I am interested in finding this collection. I have googles Times books, Times collections, in various ways. Its bringing up nothing but magezines and news papers. Anyone have any idea?

I am a Believer of God and all his teachings. I believe in Him with every fiber in my being. Lately I have been thinking more of him than normal. Im not sure why but some how I believe He is reaching out to me? Maybe tryin to tell me my life isnt right. Or tryin to tell me to better myself, repent, something. I have been worried that I am not good enough to enter into the kingdom when I am judged. I do not go to church for fear of being judged and not feeling worthy of being in the church. I kind of feel like.. id be a hippocrit for going in the first place when i wake up and sin every day. By this I mean.. I am dating an Atheist. for the past 7 years I have been with him. Is being with someone who does not believe in God a sin? I have been baptised and have accepted the Lord Jesus into my life and as my saviour. Is He trying to tell me something? Maybe not what I think but.. something?

I am kind of confused on some somethings. I am still learning about God and havent completely read the bible. I dont have a label for my religion other than I believe in God and his only son Jesus. I read the holy bible (mainly the king james version) SO im not sure if in what i believe, donating or recieving blood is wrong (sinful)

my questions are, is donating blood a sin. If so... wouldnt receiving blood a sin too? Furthermore.. When going to the hospital for an illness and they require bloodwork and to take your blood to help diagnose your ailment, wouldnt that in turn be a sin? Im just confused. I remember something about "stay away from the blood" somewhere, not sure where. And im wondering if by even going to the hospital is wrong. Everyone has their time set on when they are to leave this world. so by going to the hospital and having opperations or whatnot to help keep you from meeting that date, is that in a way tryin to defy God, or .. like trying to BE God in a way?

Hello. My boyfriend and I (been together 7 years) have decided we want a family. We have started tryin to have a baby about 3 weeks ago and I was wondering about a presciption medicine I have been taking. I am currently on Digoxin for my heart. The drug is made to slow down my heart rate as I have a higher heart rate than normal. On a daily basis standing up my heart can get up to 100 bpm (beat per minute) while on occasion it rises up to 200 Bpm causing me to have to go to the ER to have my heart stopped with Adenosine. While this medicine slows down MY heart rate, I was curious if it is safe to take it while tryin (and hopefully being) to get pregnant. As It only makes sense that it would also slow down my babies heart rate too, which doesnt seem safe. Should I discontinue taking the Digoxin till I can find a personal doctor? I do not have a doctor as of now. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks

I have scanned my pc for spyware, adware, and viruses with Ad-Aware and Spybot S&D so theres nothing there. Also the only thing I downloaded around the time it started happening was Photoshop and Paintshop trials from the legit websites.

Hello. I have this tanning chair like lawn chair that is stained. It has green stains all over it. Its supposed to be white and I was wonder how to clean this? I have so far tried Mean Green on it with a hard bristle scrub brush. then I tried plain ol dishwashing liquid. It cleaned it some but the stains are still visible. Any ideas?

Hello. First Off Id like to point out that I am aware of the oddity and bizarness of this question but its the topic of a debate between me and my boyfriend. I believe in God, yet my boyfriend does not believe in a God or a devil. But he is the first one to point out when your "sinning" and makes it his personal "goal" to mention it to others. Knowing this he also always seems to know what is in the bible not having actually made it past Genesis. Because of this he is almost always wrong lol. Its like he makes up stuff about whats in the bible because he "asumes" everything he likes to do is in the bible since he thinks God is all about being "goody goody" . I dont know any other way to explain so let me get to my point.

Hello. I have an abscess on my tooth and I was wondering if there was a way I could make it go away. I dont have insurance or money to go to a dentist or doctor. Its kinda making me sick. It popped up 2 days ago and same time I got sick and been in bed since then. Id go to doctor but I went to Cardiologist not too long ago for my heart and I owe them 3k. So As you can see , I simply cant afford anything thats not over the counter. Any advice is appreciated.

Hello. First off I just got back from out of town for the holidays yesterday. While I was gone, my bf's cousin got on my pc and (bluntly) F@%#ked it up. He doesnt know what he did other than downloading music..sigh. So anyways the problem.. When you try to turn on the pc, the windows wont load. It freezes. If I try to start in safe mode it wont load and says somethings missing. If I try to restore to last known good config mode it says the system 32 config file is missing. So basically I cant even Reformat the pc cause it says file missing. I cant turn on pc to do anything.. how can I fix this without paying an arm and leg for professionals? Any advice or help is appreciated. Also.. is there a way to somehow override the missing file so I can at least maybe (hopes) download a system32 file and install? Im so pissed!!

Hello. Okay my problem is my Emachines is not showing the DVD drive that came with it. I got a new compaq but a friend got on and messed up my Compaq to where windows wont load and its missing something, so in the meantime i hooked up my old Emachines which was working fine last I used it. Now for some reason the DVD nor CD drives show when they are plugged in. I have also tried using a DVD and CD drive from my bfs pc, they dont show up e ither. I have looked in my BIOS and they arent found there either. Whats wrong with this?

Hello. For a quick med history.. when I was 18 I had a 3 minute epsiode where my heart pounded and felt like heart burn.. ever since then Ive had an episode at least once a year with the exception of this year I've had 3 so far, the 2nd one lasted an hour and the 3rd time I finally went to the ER and they said it was beating at 220 a minute. It has been as high as 300 a minute before. ok so Im 25 now and they say i have SVT (Supreventricular Tachycardia), now Im confused. Is SVT an actual heart condition or is it just a term used for palpatations? Is this serious?

I went to a cardiologist after the ER visit and they did 6 EKG's on me so far and a Echocardiogram. Also I am currently on a 24 hour holter monitor. Monday they will give me my results on the holter and echo. But should I be worried? The girl who did my echo said she was not allowed to tell me my results but i was watching what she was doing so I could get an idea of how bad it may be even though im no doc.

Hello. I have been thinking of going to college for Art lately. I really enjoy drawing. But I am not sure about what type of class to take. Also what type of careers you can really live off of based on art alone. My boyfriend is wanting me to get into graphic art, but I am more into actually drawing with my hands, not conjuring up pixels on the computer. What type of things can a person start a career on with drawing or painting alone. All hand work?I never finished high school so I am planning on getting my GED too, so I am not sure how to go about this or how to find out what careers are out there. So any help is appreciated. Hello, Im tryin to remember a show I use to watch all the time but cant seem to remember the name. Nor can I think of any of the actors names or the names of the characters. I do remember some of the story line. I remember there was a teen guy about 16 who dated a girl (I think her name was Madison) and he got her pregnant, but he didnt know. Hello. My sister in Tennessee called me today to tell me about my dad ( I live in Florida ) She said he doesnt look or sound good and that he seems to be hiding something from her and that he asked to talk to me, but I cant seem to get in touch with him due to time difference and his work. She said they found something in or on his lung, spots or something on his lungs. That he coughs badly and that when he coughs he blacks out. We have different dads so it worries me that he wont tell her any more than he feels she needs to know, yet specifically asked her to call me and to tell me to try to get in touch with him, From what she told me he is going into the hospital Tues. to have tests and surgery . What could be wrong? Im scared to death. Hes 69 years old so hes old. Im honestly not ready to prepare myself for the possibility of him leaving me. I dont know how to prepare for something like that.Anyone have any idea what could cause spots on the lung with black outs during coughing?

Hello , I am so confused about a movie I just got done watching.. "Mr Brooks". Ok I understand the movie and it was an awesome movie. But the end just made everything I thought i understood so confusing. It shows his daughter killing him, but the he wakes up showing that it was only a nightmare.. now my confusion is.. was the whole movie a dream? Was him killing "Mr Smith" and the other couples and everything just a dream OR was only the part of his daughter killing him a dream? Im so confused haha, awesome movie though.
