  • In fallout 3, what console command increases the Pipboy light range?

    If any exists.

I'm currently running with a darker night mod installed, and the default light is rather pathetic. Yes, I have searched for the solution - Google does not help.

I'll only install a mod to the same effect if there is no other alternative. (In other words, don't just unhelpfully tell me to install such-and-such mod, I SPECIFICALLY WANT A CONSOLE COMMAND.)

No mod suggestions, understand? Okay? Good.

Thank you in advance for helping me. Unless you didn't read the question details and told me to just install a mod for it.

  • Can vibration damage my desktop computer?

The road is being resurfaced around my neighborhood... the vibrations are intense, will this cause damage to a normal (tower) desktop PC? I've noticed that the internet keeps getting knocked out while it vibrates - is this just a coincidence?

    Thank you.

  • Oblivion freezes close to beginning, Deluxe GOTY ed. steam version?

But a few milliseconds after the guard says, "You stay here, prisoner. Don't try to follow us.", the game freezes. This is at the very start of the game. My system specs are far above the recommended ones, I have windows 7 64-bit. The game appears to be fine up until that moment after the short scuffle when they go through the passageway.

If you require more details just ask. (on a somewhat related note, why has the mouse sensitivity and keyboard settings reset every time I start the game?)

  • Where can I get a patch so that I don't have to keep inserting the Fallout 3 disk to play?

I have a number of games like this, and it gets frustrating when I need to switch CDs every time I want to play a game. How and where can I find a patch? Please, check any you suggest for malicious software. And I'm NOT gonna pay for one.

  • PJ64 emulator "Paper Mario" (usa version) problem- sounds overlap?

I am trying to play paper mario on the Project 64 emulator.

Although I managed to fix the flickering graphics (courtesy of the Glide64 plugin), i have found that the background music overlaps (for example, while going to Shooting Star Summit.)

Is there a sound plugin (or option) that will fix this, or is it the result of a "bad rom"?

(And if so, where can I find a safe, fixed version??)

  • When I play gta:sa, my saves restart?

I have the PC version of Grand Theft Auto San Andreas, NOT a pirate (so don't blame piracy on this) and when I stop playing gta, all my saves restart to the beginning of the game, both in money and progress, no matter how far I get. They have the right mission name on them, but as soon as I load, it starts them at the point after the introduction (where you talk to Sweet on the phone).

What is this bug? How do I correct it?

  • Any working Just Cause 2 trainers for v1.0.0.2 steam version?

Since BOLO broke and the bolo team stopped working on the patch, just cause 2 has updated. And because steam cannot "roll back" updates, the trainer is useless.

Is there any trainers out there confirmed to work with the current version of Just Cause 2, ones which you don't have to pay money to get? call me cheap, but I do not trust the internet to my money when dealing with these matters. Any links to trainers working with the current steam version of Just Cause 2?

  • Why does GMod immidiately load a background map when it starts up?

I have garry's mod 10 (legit, from steam.) Works perfect. But, since accidental installing the joutomaa hl2 mod in the gmod/gmod folder (a stupid thing to do) every time the main menu loads, the damned thing loads a map, which seems to be the first background in hl2.

I have tried going through the files that were in joutomaa, like the gameinfo.txt, to see if I overwrote the gmod version of the file (a command inside which, on menu load, changes the map to background??) but nothing fixed it.

Which file is the problem, what command line am i looking for and how do I fix it?

I have a slow computer takes about 5 mins to load maps, so this is adding 5 minutes onto the time it takes me to start gmod, which is NOT good.

And please, no nonsense answers like "poop" or "fish", please try answering the question.

  • Grand Theft Auto IV PC Seems Stuffed Up?

Ok. I got GTA, ran it (the previous gta question I asked worked itself out, surprisingly it was the 'reinstall" that did it) but as soon as it loaded the campaign, i noticed something...very...ODD. The intro just shows a blue flat ground plane, and square boxes which may be the light sprites, and nothing else. And it LAGGED. the audio was perfect, but the video... really ****** up. I am certain that my 512 MB NVIDIA 7100 GS vid card is adequate, as is all the other **** like ram, memory and so on- but the damned thing looks like crysis on a virus-laden, win95-running 1960's era computer.

    In other words, THE CRAP?!

When it got to the bit where you have to drive so-and-so somewhere, you can't see anything but big rotating grey squares (exhaust?) and the brake lights of a million invisible cars. The HUD is perfect. Only the game screen is stuffed. I took a screenshot and will try find a place to upload it if you want to see what I mean.

EDIT: Image uploaded; for ease of viewing and a lack of facebook accounts, here it is a mod db: http://www.moddb.com/members/flaillomanz/images/gr...

  • Grand Theft Auto IV PC Does Not work?

I recently brought gtaiv pc. I have followed all the instructions, and I am confident that I have the basic system requirements.

GTA starts up OK, but after clicking play, the slides (i assume its a loading screen of some sort?) loop continuously, the music doesn't loop at all- just stops, and the only way to exit is to restart the computer or keep pressing ctrl-alt-delete.

Basically, I can't actually play the game.

    Anyone help?
