  • Toro Snowblower starts and then stops?

I fired my snowblower up for the first time 3 weeks ago. Started fine and I used it for about 2 hours. The next morning we had some more snow so I was planning on running it before work. I went out and primed it(3 times) and it started right up...but then quit within 5 seconds. Tried starting it again but to no avail. Went to work. All the snow melted the next day so I did not test it again until last weekend. Primed it and it started, then died after 5 seconds. Fuel line is open, choke is where it needs to be, smae thing. Fuel line closed...does the exact same thing. I do not have my model handy with me since I am at work right now but I did not know if anyone had any ideas? Oil looks good, fuel looks good. I tried to see if I put it in gear or started the snow grabber things and it stalls out at the same time. As a test I noticed the more I primed it the longer it ran(5 seconds more, maybe)...could it be no fuel is getting to the engine?

    Thanks,

  • helmet for baby - for brother's baseball games?

Our little Alli(6 month but wearing 9/12 month clothing) is going to be watching her older brother(11) play baseball this year. I see bike helmets but does anyone know of a "batting" type helmet I could get for her? I like the idea of the visor and the ear protection against crazy pop flies. I see a person get hit every year and I'd like to prevent it from doing any major damage to her head in case she gets hit.

    Thanks.

  • Inspirion 1525 will not boot?

I am working on a laptop a friend brought over. Apparently while it was still powered on someone tripped over the power cord and it came crashing to the ground and now it will not boot.

There is no structural damage at all. When I hit the power button the screen stays black and the "media buttons" kinda scroll through the lights if that makes any sense and then the power button stays on for about 5 seconds then turns off. I hear the CDROM for a short bit and then it just turns off. There are no POST codes or nothing, no Dell splash screen...

I have swapped the RAM ports, tested each ram module. Tested with known good memory and that did not help. disconnected and reconnected LCD cabling, processor and check cabling I can see before diving in any further.

I am an IT tech but what is horrible I have no parts to swap out with this laptop and it is out of warranty. If I had good compontenets to test with it would be a ton easier and Dell will not chat woth me since it is out of warranty.

any ideas on where to go next? Has anyone seen this before?

    Thanks,

    Rich

  • Unfortunate Events Questions?

Well I posted my son was reading HP Book #1...but my wife tells me he is reading Unfortunate Events Series. So does anyone have any questions and answers I could ask a 9 year old on the first 5 books of the series? He needs to prove he is comprehending what is going on in the story and not just looking at the pages, if that makes sense.

I know this is probably tougher to find questions on this...but I thought I'd ask.

    Thanks,

    Rich

  • Put wrong oil in lawn mower. What now?

I put in 10W - 30 motor oil into my mower by mistake. It ran for about 25 minutes and then it started smoking and now it won't start. I emptied the oil out and put in what I thought was the right kind but it still won't start. Anything I can do or did I just kill my engine?

    Thanks,

  • Wonton(My Cat) Meows - ALOT!?

We got Wonton and his sister(Mulan) about a year ago and they are great. But about 4 months ago we started noticing Wonton(Male) would meow for like 15 minutes without stopping. The two cats get along fine and play and sleep. Wonton is my buddy so everytime i get home from work and lay on the couch he runs right up(if he isn't eating) and falls asleep on my chest. But then sometimes he just walks around, meowing. We thought first that he was looking for Mulan...but sometimes he'd be sitting right next to her...meowing. Then I thought maybe he was looking for me...I'd call for him...he'd run in...look at me. The turn around and walk through the house meowing. He does it at night, in the day, on the floor just relaxing or playing. He really doesn't meow much when we are getting food or if we are petting him(which I pay him a lot of attention) He is fixed, she is fixed. They have their shots, he isn't deaf...what can we do?

I would never get rid of him, but sometimes it's nuts
