computer problem with my monitor and graphics card?
i have a GeForce 8600 GT graphics card on my xp computer and to get it to work you have to plug your monitor directly into the graphics card. but when i turned my computer on the monitor i use for the card wouldn't turn on. i've taken the card out and looked at it, it seemed fine. i've restarted my computer and that didn't help. when i go to my display settings i cant even attach the second monitor i use for it. also its not the monitor or the cords, i've tried a combo of all of them. any help would be amazing

i found them in a corner in a room, they are seed shaped about the same as an apple seed but a little smaller. the thing that gets me is when i picked them up, thinking they were seeds, and squeezed one. it squished more like a roach. i need help identifying these things.
i have two pictures one of a few of the things, and the other with one of them squished open a little (blurry) anything will help. please link any proof.
