So there is a problem with my car that the speedometer, odometer, power windows, rpm meter, radio, heat, ac, turn signals etc. stop working. They work when the key is half turned but when i start the car they stop working. The things only work after starting the car a couple of times.. The actual car works perfectly but those things dont work. The things work when the car is just sitting with the key half turned but whe i completely turn the key and the engine starts perfectly but the things dont work. Could the key have a problem? What could be the problem and what is the best option??!! What would the costs be?? Please and thank you in advance!

I have a 1998 Ford F-150 XLT V6. I just got new brake pads from a mechanic and on the way back the brake light was showing in the dashboard. I checked the brake fluid and everything was fine. After driving for another mile or so I saw smoke coming from the front tires. It seemed like the engine was carrying a load.
