Why is it when a man hits a woman, it's abuse, but when a woman hits a man, it's her standing up for herself?
I'm not condoning violence at all. I'm just asking because more and more lately, I've been seeing females who resort to violence, and count on the fact that they are females to not get in trouble, or physically hurt back. My birth mother is one such person, she has often started fights with people, mainly men, like the guy she is currently with. She almost always ends up telling people, "I just wanted him to hit me so I could call the cops!" But he hasn't hit her in years, he quit drinking years ago, while she continues. She brags about slapping him, throwing things at him, threatening to kill him in his sleep, telling the kids he's not their real father...
I've also seen a lot of younger women getting into fights with younger men, laughing while they tell them, "You can't hit me, I'm a girl!" I've seen them pull knives, small chains, mace, clubs, kicking guys, biting, pushing, kicking and stomping when they knock them over. But once the guy raises a hand up, whether or not he even touches them, they cry "Assault!"
Sure a lot of guys are *******, but females now days aren't getting much better. They claim to want equality, if that were true, they wouldn't be expecting to not get hit in return based on their gender. They would understand and accept, "If I hit someone, male or female, I could get hit back, and would deserve it, for striking them first."
Why is it ok for a female to antagonize, and aggravate a male, get him upset enough, stressed out enough, just so he will make the mistake of hitting her, so she can call the cops on him? Saying he's abusing her?
I've seen it time and time again, women yelling at men, pushing them, slapping them, calling them names, insulting them, and their families. Finally, I've also seen them just plain old attack them when it didn't work.
I've seen a woman try to press charges for assault when her ex slapped her hands away while she beat him with a golf club. She thought he was cheating, (I don't know if he was or not) so she chased him down with a golf club, gave him four broken ribs, a broken nose, a broken arm and a mild concussion. He gave her a light red mark on her left wrist when he slapped at the golf club.
Then she called the cops and told them he was beating her up. He almost went to jail for abuse until people came forward and told the cops what really happened.
Is this equality? Is this what women are becoming?
I was raised by my grandparents, and they told every one of us kids the same thing, it doesn't matter if you're a boy or a girl, if you don't want to get hit, don't hit others!
11 AnswersEtiquette1 decade agoIs there any reason to finish Mercenaries 2 for the PS2?
I've finished it once, and have found no bonuses as of yet. I've tried to find all the marks, fuel drops, car parts & other various 'hidden items' already.
After I beat the game (which was very disappointing) I chose continue, and have found no incentive to keep playing, or even start a new game...
1 AnswerVideo & Online Games1 decade agoWhere in the U.S. Constitution does it state that the U.S. is in fact a Christian Nation?
I've been hearing and seeing so much of it lately, yet no one has been able to show me exactly where in the Constitution it states that the U.S. is a Christian nation, or that there is one religion above any others. I think too many people are just forcing their views on others, and making it harder for people to truly express themselves, or their own opinions. Why Christianity? Why not some other religion? Why not the religions that were here before the settlers?
12 AnswersOther - Politics & Government1 decade agoWas it really wrong to say...?
A female co worker was arguing with one of her sometimes boyfriends (she brags about having lots of guys, but hey guys do it too, so why can't women?!), and I was trying not to listen too much, coz it was just the usual morning after stuff, her asking where he was, and saying she didn't have to tell him where she was. (You know, funny stuff.)
But she suddenly slammed down the phone and just shouted! Loud! She threw a couple books across the room and lit a cig and sat quiet for a moment.
Then she looked me in the eyes and asked, "Why are men so difficult?"
I knew I should just keep my mouth shut, but it just came out: "We were raised by women."
I learned that from my grandmother, she told me a long time ago, "Anything with ****, tires or testicles will give you grief!"
I wasn't trying to be a smart *** or anything, it just came out. Now she left and hasn't been back in days, some people are pissed at me, and others laugh. Oddly, more women have laughed than men....

2 AnswersPreferences and Settings1 decade agoDeep down, isn't being "Pro-Choice" the same as being "Pro-Life"?
I mean, people can *choose* life, can't they? A lot of people *choose* not to drink, smoke, or do drugs or commit crimes. So really, if people were given the choice, would it really make that big of a difference? It's not like, suddenly, every baby would be aborted just because it's a choice. Lots of teens don't start smoking once they turn 18, nor do people suddenly drink just because their 21.
Why should complete strangers be allowed to make life decisions for people they will never meet? Why should people be told what they *have* to do with their own bodies?
4 AnswersOther - Society & Culture1 decade agoWhy do so many people talk about Native Americans in the past tense?
They seem to think we no longer exist. Like we just faded out, or went extinct. There are actually around 4 to 5 million of us still living here today out of approximately 305+ million according to the U.S. Census Bureau...
4 AnswersOther - Society & Culture1 decade agoA question about Twilight...?
If Edward is 107, and Bella is only 17, doesn't that make him legally, a pedophile? She doesn't turn 18 until the second book, I guess, but still...
With how so many young girls are reacting, if there was an 80 year old guy who looked 20, would they be as excited?
When did it become ok to like guys who were into underage girls?
I know I'll probably get a lot of crap for this, but come on!
It says in the book! He's 107, she's only 17!
22 AnswersBooks & Authors1 decade agoWhich would you rather be stuck in an enclosed room with...?
A smoker with a carton of cigarettes and a lighter, or a running automobile? And it's not a hybrid, either. It's one of the millions of cars still on the road pumping out toxic fumes from burning oil and gas.
12 AnswersOther - Society & Culture1 decade agoWhy do christians get to insist so much that their god is the only real god?
i know all religions do it, but its all over the tv & movies. Also, of all the religions, they have accumulated the most influence, and have made it so that they have more power and political influence than anyone else.
11 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhat if science proved the existence of god?
But it's not any of the gods we know of, but in fact a different, but real god. How do you think people would react? And how do you think it would treat us for not believing in it, and insisting on other gods?
22 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWho would you rather look for,?

4 AnswersWords & Wordplay1 decade agoWhy does medical care have to be so expensive?
It's getting harder to get proper care for most people, because they don't have the money to pay the exorbitant prices. Why does it have to cost so much? Why do we have to put such a price on human life and basic care?

1 AnswerOther - Society & Culture1 decade agoWhy are Reservation ID's not accepted off the reservations?
We use the same tools they use in courthouses, have been told to update our software, and machinery, but so many people have been complaining that outside of the reservation, no one will accept their id. Some have even had the cops called on them for using fake id's!
WTF!! These are the ID cards & software made mandatory by the US GOVT!!!
The ONLY difference is ours are not "State Issued" but "Reservation Issued"
2 AnswersOther - Cultures & Groups1 decade agoIs being born non white or non religious a sin?
Shortly after my son was born, my wife's grandparents told us they felt so sorry for our child, for he was going to burn in hell for all eternity... I even overheard them talking about how it wouldn't have happened if I wasn't 'one of those'...
I am not white, nor overly religious. I believe in a higher power, just not the same as others, but the color of my skin, and now my sons skin, seems to have forever damned him in their eyes.
Is this what people mean, when they promote 'the love and understanding of god?"
They don't accept me simply because of my skin color, they have come out in public and said it. Ok, fine, as an adult, whatever. But my son? A child who does not know?
They keep going on and on about how sorry they feel for him and my wife, because of her unforgivable sin for loving a heathen, having a child with a demon spawn...
Of course, they are upstanding, well respected people of the community with 'that grand-daughter'...
17 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoAre you a person, or where you live?
I mean, how can someone be labeled as two separate countries? Such as: African-American, Asian-American, Mexican-American, Latin-American...
I, myself have been labeled as a Native-American. Why can't we all just be American?
Especially when people NOT from America, are being labeled with our own pointless PC labels...
(A black British actor was mistakenly called African-American because of his skin color and a Thia person I work with is always called Asian/Japanese American)
