  • Too old for medical school?

I'm 31 years old and I start nursing school tomorrow (YAY!) but lately I've been thinking if maybe I should just go all the way in a couple of years or so and go to medical school to start the long process of becoming a doctor. By then I'd be, oh, 33-34 years old and I know that it takes a total of at least 10 YEARS to become a doctor because of all the years of schooling. I'd be in my early 40's by the time I'd graduate. My question is, would I be too old to go into medical school in my early 30's? And is my early 40's too old to be a new doctor? Just want a little insight. :)

  • Name change after marriage?

I live in Florida. My bf and I are eloping in a few days or so, my question is how do I go about changing my last name to his? Do I do it before we get married, or just after? And how exactly do I go about doing it? Is there a document that I have to file, and can I do it the same day we get married?

  • Relieved after miscarriage?

I had a miscarriage a month ago and brutal truth be told I couldn't have felt more relieved. I don't ever want kids but the birth control failed and that's how I got pregnant. But why is it that when a woman admits to not wanting children she gets branded as bad? Does it ever occur to anyone that not all women want to breed?

  • Is it okay to go out drinking with the ex?

I've been in a relationship and living with a guy for over a year now. We got together when he was separated from his wife. They're now divorced but now his ex wife is insisting that they go out for dinner and drinks like they used to back when they were together. I am uncomfortable with that and told him so, and he agrees and understands. I just feel it's not appropriate to go out drinking with your ex when the relationship has long been over and you're now in a new relationship, it's just disrespectful. However, I still wonder a little bit if I overreacted or was I right to feel uncomfortable about him going out drinking with his ex wife, even though I know the whole thing would be innocent--on his part, anyway?
