I've been living paycheck to paycheck for the past eight years and think I stand a good chance at this job offer. The salary range is $35-40k and it's full benefits- In Rhode Island, I would have a bit of a disposable income on this range but I'm thinking in DC I wont have a chance. :-(

I'm staining a pine chest with minwax stain and it asks that once the first coat dries I use a fine steal wool to sand it. I was wondering if i can use fine sand paper instead.Any thoughts?

I'm doing an accent wall and painted the primer today at five pm- it's now eight pm and the wall is dry to the touch. Can I paint the next coat or do I have to let the color set over night? ICK!!!!

I'm creating a Microsoft Access contact database and have certain contacts who are members of multiple committees- some of those members may be the chair of one committee (ie Joe sits on Labor, finance and rules but is only chair for labor) is it possible to create a look up column whereby I can click on multiple committees and link which one the person is a chair on?

I just found an awesome wood bureau at the side of the street- I've started to sand the paint off but am planning to re-paint it. Do I have to sand all the paint off or just get it to the place where it's smooth and then paint a prime coat before the final color?

So I'm in a situation where I feel as though either path I choose someone will get hurt. There is a woman at work who is causing pain to many of my co-workers (including myself) she is also not doing her fair share of work. I have enough information where if I go to the higher ups I could get her fired (I haven't saught the info it comes from simply being in the office and my position in the office).

However, at the same time, this co-worker supports her family on her earnings so if she gets fired its very likely that they could loose their house etc...

I feel as though I should do something but feel hindered because of the creed (do what you will as long as you harm none.)

Suggestions?

I often use the term but have a new co-worker who is offended when someone takes the lord's name in vain. Does that include "bloody hell"?

didn't know if it would be okay with my full time job- at the end of the "interview" my next steps were to draft minutes of the meeting and to check with my boss to make sure I could volunteer. Turns out my boss is cool with me volunteering and I'm now drafting the minutes... do I thank the person for hiring me (ie: assuming that I've been hired when really I don't have any verification of that) or do I ask if he will continue to consider my application? When responding if you could give me examples of what to say I'd love you forever!!!

I'm writting an article and originally refered to people from the Middle East as "those of Middle Eastern descent" but was corrected with the term "Arab or Arab American" I just want to make sure I'm using the least offensive term. Or if there's a better term/ more prefered please let me know! Thanks!

I do statewide policy work but am having a hard time taking my career down to D.C.- basically I'm debating if the line on my resume that reads "Providence, Rhode Island" is setting it to the bottom of the stack? Do I stand a better chance if I move to D.C. (with out a job) for a month and pound the pavement?

If I should use a substitute what should I use? Extra virgin olive oil?

What makes white meat look white where as red meat is red? They are both muscle and white meat can come from mammles or birds so I don't understand.

I'm trying to loose weight and become healthy again- what should my "at rest" heart rate be and what should my rate be when I'm working out (ie: light jog or stair master...) I just inserted a new/ blank CD into my drive and my computer knew what to do with it... but I've put in several blank DVD's into my drive and they keep getting spat out... Plus I don't know what people mean when they say my "media" is bad....

Are there settings I should change and how do I go about doing it?

I gained 20 pounds and am in the process of loosing it. Having just watched a show on TLC which said that when you loose weight you don't loose the fat cells just the stuff in the cells. So what I'm thinking is that once I've lost the weight and stabilized I might do lipo just to get rid of the cells I made during my weight gain. Is that the purpose of lipo or is there something beside surgery that I could do?
