Hopefully the file will work. I have done questions 1 and 2, I am just struggling with how to do 3-6. If anyone knows of a helpful video, that works as well.

Reaction: 2 ICl + H2 I2 + 2 HCl (all gases)
Experimental results: The rate is halved when [ICl] x ½
The rate triples when [H2] x 3
a) What is the order in each reactant?
b) What is the rate law?
c) What is the overall order?
d) By what factor will the rate change if both [ICl] and [H2] are doubled?
e) By what factor will the rate change if [ICl] is tripled and [H2] is cut x ¼?
f) What are the units for the rate constant k?

1 AnswerChemistry4 days agoVanillin intermolecular forces?
Hello,
I am doing a project where we need to determine the intermolecular forces for vanillin( between 2 molecules). I have Hydrogen bonding( between hydrogen and oxygen) and dipole dipole so far( between a hydrogen and carbon). Is this right? and are these the only 2 IMFs?
Thank you!

I am working on this problem and am confused which pictures show any difference between TeF4 and TeF6. I thought TeF4 would be a see saw shape, having only 4 bonds, but I don't see that in the picture.

At noon, ship A is 30 nautical miles due west of ship B. Ship A is sailing west at 16 knots and ship B is sailing north at 24 knots. How fast (in knots) is the distance between the ships changing at 6 PM? (Note: 1 knot is a speed of 1 nautical mile per hour.)
I keep getting 27.27 as the answer and and not sure what I am doing incorrect.

Two curves which intersect at a certain point are said to be normal to each other at
that point if their tangent lines at that point are perpendicular to each other. The circles (𝑥 −6)^2 + (𝑦 − 17)^2 = 100 and 𝑥^2 + 𝑦^2 = 225 intersect at the point (12,9).Show that the circles are normal to each other at that point.
Are you trying to show the slopes are the same? When I did it I got -(x-6)/(y-17) and
-x/y. giving me 2 different slopes.

Sketch a graph of a single function having all of the following features. Six points.
lim𝑥→−∞(𝑓(𝑥)) = 2,
lim𝑥→−2^−(𝑓(𝑥)) = ∞,
lim𝑥→−2 ^+(𝑓(𝑥)) = −∞,
lim𝑥→4 (𝑓(𝑥)) = −∞
lim𝑥→∞ (𝑓(𝑥)) = −4
