When can you harvest rosemary?
I've never planted rosemary before; my plant is still rather small (about six inches across, four to five inches high). Can I begin now cutting off a few pieces?
3 AnswersGarden & Landscape1 decade agoWhy do I have double vision when I drive at night?
I'm not sure when this started, as I rarely drive at night, but I've noticed that for the past year or so, when I drive at night I have double vision, and I have to drive with one eye closed. It's very stressful and gives me a headache; I also worry about how safe this is. I am 56 years old; this is probably age related - cataracts, maybe?
3 AnswersOther - Health1 decade agoWhy am I not getting any new questions?
When I go to "answer", I am seeing questions that have been on here for days, yet they still say "2 minutes ago". I'm not seeing anything new; it's all from 2 or 3 weeks ago.
2 AnswersYahoo Answers1 decade agoWhy do older people have trouble swallowing their food?
My dad is almost 92, and he seems to have trouble swallowing his food. It takes him a great deal of time to eat, and he says that the food seems to get bigger once it's in his mouth. Sometimes he coughs as if he is choking just a little bit. Is there anything we can do to help?
3 AnswersNewborn & Baby1 decade agoFellow "Old People" - how did you cope when you first discovered you were really old?!?
I've realized recently that my skin has turned to parchment, and everything sags and looks gross. But I still weigh 99 pounds and have a lot of energy, so I didn't think so much about it. My teaching job this year has been a challenge, with kids stamping their feet at me and refusing to do what they're told, but I've been patient and hard-working. Today, though, was really rough. I had another episode with a child who is deeply disturbed and has been in a lot of trouble, but I keep on loving him and praying for him. I made it to the afternoon, and when we were practicing for our Christmas program, a child motioned for me. When I walked over to see what he wanted, he pointed to another boy and said, "He says you're old." I can't tell you how it hurt. I used to be the popular teacher; I've always had fun with my kids while I was helping them achieve. This boy doesn't even know me; he doesn't know I lie awake at night worrying about our kids. All he sees is that I'm old.
33 AnswersSenior Citizens1 decade agoThe paint you see mostly on VW bugs that looks purple at first glance, then it changes...?
It's irridescent, kind of resembles carnival glass; goes from purple to blue to orange to green, all mixed together. I've heard the paint is terribly expensive. How does it work?
6 AnswersSenior Citizens1 decade agoWhy did I dream that my cat was near death, when I don't even have a cat?
I haven't had a cat in years (although I dearly love them, but we got a dog), but I dreamed last night that I discovered out cat near death. She was very messed up, and her eyes were bulging and her hair was wet and matted, and there was a water bottle on top of her. I was upset to see her and tried to revive her, but everyone was saying, "She's dead " and I said she wasn't, and slowly she began to revive, but it was really creepy, kind of like the cat in "Pet Cemetary". I took the water bottle off her. No one else seemed to care; they just kept saying, "She's dead!" I also dreamed I kept finding change on the ground - pennies, nickels, and dimes, mostly.
3 AnswersDream Interpretation1 decade agoHow do you finle a Medicare claim?
My dad uses the Veteran's Hospital for all doctor visits, and in the past they had paid all his medical expenses. Lately we have been billed for some things, and I had been paying them, but I thought maybe Medicare should be covering what the VA doesn't. I don't know how to file this.
6 AnswersSenior Citizens1 decade agoWhy doesn't my pecan pie get done in the center?
When I bake it the required amount of time, it isn't nearly done in the middle. By the time it finally sets up, it has taken twice as long and the pecans on top and the crust are too done.
8 AnswersCooking & Recipes1 decade agoCan anyone recommend a good home pasta machine for under $60?
I'd like to get my daughter a home pasta machine. She currently rolls out her dough on the counter. She doesn't need anything elaborate (translate: expensive!) as she wouldn't use it more than once a week. One that has optional attachments and a drying rack are preferred.
