Is this normal. The general manager has tough time getting a dollar approved and is usually turned down. However if an experienced cook from another restaurant was making like 17 an hr they will approve close to that and other employees who are experienced get a high wage. The employee I am talking about admits he did not push for raises years ago and that has probably hurt him but why won’t they just push him up a couple of dollars to get him to what he should be making. I see no reason why you can start a new one at close to 17 but can’t give a couple dollars to a 20 year employee. Thanks

My mom brought her Yourkie named coco to the vet for a scheduled appointment to have some of her teeth taken out. Coco is approxamitly 13 or 14 years old (in human years.) About an hour later the vet called the house to tell my mom that they would have to send her home without doing the procedure because she coco was stressed out, or something like that. Then they called again saying she really wasn t doing good (like blue membranes, really gasping for air) and they had her hooked up to oxygen machine. My mom saw how she was suffering and decided to put her down. They were telling us that we could bring her to emergency animal hospital but that does not guarantee anything. What are your opinions on the matter

I have had no trouble for the first year and a half y had the laptop byut the last few moths the t.v. said no signal . the cord works fine on the Blu-ray player so I am pretty sure it is something in the software. I have been an employee (an opening cook at a major restaurant chain) for 21 years and counting. I have been in this role there for about 16 of those 21 years. Over those years we have been near the top in sales and food cost, labor etc. some of the time. I have been in the same role even when a former manger won manager of the year in the district for having best numbers. However right now we have missed food cost (not by a whole lot ) the last 5 months or so. The district manager has brought in an experienced manger from another store temperolariy to show one of our managers what she needs to learn to help the restaurant make food cost. He is going after food quality etc. throwing many things away. I myself am very patient with the less expereniced cooks. (most have been there less then a year. All the mangers who have been there show respect towards me and usually have me fill out my production chart, make calls on things etc. some of them can be loud and mean to some of the other cooks .

I feel this transfer manger has been going at me he uses a different tone to talk to me sometimes. He works at another store in the district who at the time is making there numbers but has not always been the case. All m co -workers and new hires that I train say things like I was the best trainer I ever had in a restaurant.

To finalize this, I think I am trying to ask you how I can not let this guy make me feel less about myself. How do I not let it bother me?

I was distracted while kicking a soccer ball and hit the top of the ball I guess and I moved and the ball didn't. I could not put hardly any to no weight on it for almost a day. I limp on it now (much more at work in a restaurant on a hard floor) . The pain hurts more some days then others. the swelling went down (just a little puffy and the bruise marks disappeared. I don't want to go to doctor but will if I guess it still hurts ina couple of weeks.

I am real up to date on movies. The movie you recommend can be from any era (preferably 1980 and up). I like thrillers, mysterys, horror, and action movies with good plots the most. However comedy ,drama and overall feel good movies are welcome as well. Thank you
