have you ever hurt your foot (sprain or twist) to where you were still limping after a few weeks?

I was distracted while kicking a soccer ball and hit the top of the ball I guess and I moved and the ball didn't. I could not put hardly any to no weight on it for almost a day. I limp on it now (much more at work in a restaurant on a hard floor) . The pain hurts more some days then others. the swelling went down (just a little puffy and the bruise marks disappeared. I don't want to go to doctor but will if I guess it still hurts ina couple of weeks.

Yeh this happened to me during summer last year. I was out running and I fell in such a manor that I had to walk/limp the rest of the distance, it hurt like hell but I thought I'd just sleep it off. When it came to morning I could barely stand on it and applying pressure really hurt. I went to the doctor and they x-rayed it, since it wasn't broken they sent me home.

A couple of weeks later I was on holiday on a cruise and was still limping around. It took over a month to fully heal, which was frustrating for me as I love exercise, I'm guessing since you play soccer you must also feel frustrated, I took up cycling for a while instead of running. I never managed to figure out what the problem was.

My father thought that perhaps it was a torn tendon but x-rays don't scan for that, so if you go to the doctor ask them to check for a torn tendon.
