  • How can a man be the boyfriend of a prostitute?

So i'm up late at night and thinking too much and the question came to me: How could a guy that has a girlfriend or wife handle the idea of his girlfriend or wife having sex with other men? Does he just think "wow i'm so special i don't even have to pay"? or Does the money she makes just cause him to have selective memory? I'm very serious and curious to hear answers from men who have or are dating a prostitute or women that are prostitutes that have a regular boyfriend or husband to answer this question because i don't think i could deal with it myself.

  • A question for the totally ridiculous file: half dog -- half cat?

Okay, so last night i had a dream i was visiting my mom & dad (both deceased by the way) and they were showing me their two new "kittens" that were half dog and half cat but just looked like really strange cats actually. So one was named Dawn and could talk like a person but only her name otherwise well that would just be totally ridiculous. So i know a half dog half cat breed is impossibe (outside my dream) but if it were possible what would they be called a "dat" or "cog"? I kind of like the term "dat" but what would you call the babies dattins?

  • What's worse: being dependant on Xanax to function normally or being unable to live a somewhat normal life?

Okay here's the deal. For about 20 years i was on Xanax 2mg at night because when i tried to go to sleep various mostly insignificant thoughts would go round and round my head. For 18 or so of those years everything went okay. I would just see my primary care doctor every 6 months and they would write me a script for a 6 month supply. The place i go has several doctors so over the course of the 20 years pretty much all of them saw me at least once and wrote me a prescription for the Xanax. My original primary care doctor told me after i had been on Xanax for about 10 years already that i need to be careful because Xanax can be addictive. I think after 10 years that warning probably came about 9 years too late. Anyway i took that comment as an indication he didn't want to write me prescriptions for it anymore so i just started seeing his daughter that is also a doctor there at the same office. Fast forward 10 years and the lady doctor got into trouble with the medical board and the DEA for self precribing so i had to go back to the dad doctor again because she could no longer write prescriptions for controlled substances. Well the dad wrote me prescriptions for Xanax for about nother year before the comment about Xanax being addictive came again. Now he never actually refused to write me a new prescription, the mental health clinic told me to quit taking them and gave me antidepressants instead. So i've been off Xanax for 6 months now and the antidepressants actually make me more depressed which to me an antidepressant that increases depression seems like a pretty bad contradiction for an antidepressant medication. So i weaned myself off yhe antidepressants and now i can't sleep again --- at least not at normal times like at night. So i borrowed some Xanax pills from one of my neighbors last night and i slept like a baby for the first.time since i've been off the Xanax and today i feel back to normal with just one dose of Xanax and a good night's rest. So here's the deal. I was able to quit taking the Xanax so perhaps i wasn't exactly addicted to them but i certainly sleep better and function somewhat normally when i do use them so i guess you could say i'm somewhat dependant on Xanax for sleeping and living a somewhat normal existance. Is that really so bad to take a medicine that helps you live a normal life even if it's a controlled substance that is often abused and sometimes used for recreational use? By getting off Xanax for 6 months i've proven that i'm not addicted to it per se but i do live a more normal and productive life when i do use them. Is that really such a bad thing? Or should i continue to be depressed and not sleep when normal people sleep and stay off the Xanax? I'm seriously torn between the two options. I mean maybe if i continue to not take Xanax my sleep will eventually return to normal but meanwhile my whole life is in chaos because i can't sleep at a time that will allow a normal life. I'm not currently employed but i want to be employed again and live a somewhat normal existance. I know this is the third time i've said this but is it really so bad to take a LEGAL drug to feel normal and live a somewhat normal life? I don't abuse the pills and they don't do anything for me that i would consider a "recreational" affect. They simply allow me to sleep and wake up at a decent time and feel rested and ready to do something. One more thing that might help in advising me. When not using Xanax sometimes when i try to go to sleep my arms and legs feel all jittery like if you drank 6 cups of coffee one right after the other and then tried to go to sleep. And also my scalp feels all tingly. Again this is WITHOUT the Xanax not with the Xanax when i get the strange feelings in my arms, legs and head. One final piece of information. I had a Traumatic Brain Injury about 7 & 1/2 years ago.

  • Why are all blackjack strategy charts so complex?

Okay so i have an app on my phone to play blackjack and frankly i'm getting whipped everytime by the app. I've seen the charts and they all seem complex to me. I know what you stand on and what you hit on are going to vary to a certain degree based on what the dealer's up card is but surely there's a simpler way of telling someone when to stand and when to hit. I mean it's pretty much common sense to stand on any hand between 17 & 21 but what i want is something simpler like should you stand on 14 or 13 or 12 even? My method which i admit is failing miserably is to stand on anything 15 or better. I've found it fairly sucessful to double on any 12. The way my app works if you double you only get one card and i've found that if you double on a 12 and take one card you'll either win or bust. It seems like the charts waste a lot of space telling someone when to hit on hands of less than 11 which seems like an incredible waste of ink and paper as i would think everyone would hit on a hand of 11 or less, right? It seems the charts i've seen are more complicated than the average person is ever going to use sucessfully. If you know of simpler more basic charts i would love to know where to find them.

  • What years did cars, trucks and motorcycles have only 85 mph speedometers in usa?

So i know it was a federal law for all cars, pickup trucks and motorcycles to have only an 85 mph speedometer from September 1979 to March 1982. The question is though how long did the various manufacurers make their cars with the restricted speedometer? I know Porsche switched back as soon as it was legal and even offered recalibration and retrofit dials for their cars produced during the time that 85 mph speedometers were federal law in the usa. But when did all the other makers go back to other more appropriate speedometers in their cars?

  • My Infiniti G35 was originally sold by Sewell Infiniti in Dallas it has their window tinting any idea of brand?

I have a 2004 Infiniti G35 Sedan originally sold on lease from Sewell Infiniti in Dallas Texas. The windows are tinted and has the dealer's sticker still visible but no indication as to what brand or type of tint film was used. It isn't very dark compared to many other previous cars i've had with window tinting but the car is 8 years old now and the tint has held up extremely well and although it is a light tint it does a great job of reducing the heat inside the car. It's my understanding that Sewell tints all their car's windows as a courtesy i guess. Any idea what brand and type of film used? I guess i don't really need to know but i would like to know what type of film was used since it looks almost like new and is 8 years old now. From the CarFax i know it spent the first 4 years of its life in California. I read some forum posts i found through a google search saying the dealer would use the cheapest window tint film they could buy but the durability and performance seems to make that seem unlikely.

  • Why is wheel balancing technology seem to be going backwards?

When i was a kid the only way to balance wheels on cars was the primitive looking system with a bubble level that the technician would try to get on dead center. And back then i never remember any of our family cars having a vibration. Now everything is computerized but is it really superior to the primitive bubble level balance devices? It seems like i get a wheel & tire vibration frequently and i have my wheels and tires rotated and balanced every 5000 miles. So have cars gotten more sensitive to tire vibrations? Has the change from bias ply polyester tires to steel belted radials caused this anomaly? I'm curious to hear the wheel and tire experts explanation of this discrepancy.

  • Is traumatic brain injury the politically correct term for brain damaged now?

I'm just wondering with all the politically correct terms used these days if Traumatic Brain Injury is the politically correct and nice way of saying someone is brain damaged or if there really is a significant difference between the two terms?

  • Why do people act like someone with depression has leprosy?

The question as you see it in the headline pretty much says it all. Why in the 21st century when gays and lesbians are allowed to marry and people as a whole are tolerant to so many things do people avoid you like the plague if you tell them you're coping with depression or some other mental disorder? It really stinks. Makes someone feel as if they have leprosy or something.

  • What's death like? Was it scary?

Okay, not everyone will be able to answer this question. I'm wanting answers from people that were actually legally dead and came back to life to answer this question. Please no second hand stories only answers from people that were dead and now they're alive. Is dying scary? What was it like when you were dead? I've been under general anesthesia before and that was like that part of my life was just chopped out and removed. I'm assuming it isn't like that, right or wrong?

  • How long should it take my A/C to lower my temperature by 5 degrees? (variables included)?

Okay, my house is 1350 square feet with 6 inch exterior walls all fully insulated. The attic is insulated too. The house was built in 1996 so it is sealed well with double pane insulated windows and insulated steel exterior doors. It sits on a concrete slab foundation that has 2 inch polystyrene insulation and a plastic vapor barrier. Today i forgot to turn on my a/c before leaving and when i arrived home the indoor temperature was 76 degrees and the outside temp was 93. So with all the variables included how long should my a/c unit take to drop the indoor temp to 71 degrees? I won't say how long mine is taking because i don't want to taint your answer by telling. I'm pretty sure it shouldn't take as long as it has been taking. My house is as tight as a drum --- you can literally feel the resistance when closing an exterior door much like closing a door on a modern car that is tight.

  • How many calories are consumed by the average person eating at all you can eat chinese restaurant?

I was just wondering how many calories on average the typical person consumes when eating out at an all you can eat buffet at a chinese restaurant? I've seen some people really stack a plate at a chinese restaurant. I'm thinking 4000 to 8000 or possibly more. At any rate all you nutritionists out there put your thinking caps on and pretend you are a typical person not knowing what you know about nutrition and calorie consumption and give me your best estimate.

  • Home a/c not cooling very good -- most likely cause?

I live in Oklahoma and last summer's heat was just brutal. My central a/c unit is 15 years old now and it is just a straight a/c & heating system without any sort of heat pump. About 3 or 4 years ago the compressor and start capacitor were replaced and about 2 years ago the fan motor on the top of the outside part of the unit (the condenser i believe it is called) was replaced. Last year when the summer heat was brutal the unit ran almost constantly to keep the house at a somewhat comfortable temperature. Sometimes the compressor would not start and i believe it was because the thermal breaker would activate. I would spray cold water on the compressor until it cooled off and started running again. My brother-in-law who by the way is not an a/c professional has the freon and gages to add freon and he checked it an added a little freon towards the end of the summer and it didn't seem to make any difference in the performance or the thermal breaker issue at all. So is the most likely problem another worn out compressor? Or has the age of the unit just caused it to lise so much efficiency that it no longer has the capacity to cool down the house adequately? It used to cool the house really well with ease and now it just seems to not be blowing cold enough air to get the job done. The heater portion still heats the house with gusto. Although i'm sure that is irrelevant. Well maybe not totally irrelevant as it indicates the attic part of the unit is still blowing hard enough and that the vent system and duct work are not the culprit. So hopefully it is something simple and not another compressor motor as that was an expensive repair. Please help if you can, i can't really afford an expensive repair right now as money is super tight.

  • Name two performers you would like to see collaborate on a song together on?

I always enjoy two top performers collaborating together to create a new sound to either an existing song one of the artists already made famous or a new song that mixes each artists' best talents with the others for something totally new. CMT channel has a TV program where they take a country musician and a rock and roll musician and they perform each others songs called Crossroads. So name your dream collaboration. Mine is Mark Knopfler and Gordon Lightfoot. So hopefully you get the idea and maybe with a little luck the musicians will see your suggestion here and do a collaboration together.

  • George Foreman boxing legend is he best ever in spite of Ali loss?

Someone asked the question the other day if Mike Tyson was over-rated. Of course my answer was no, but it made me curious to look at some stats by all the great legends of boxing. In doing so i discovered that George Foreman in his first prime knocked out opponents in early rounds just like Mike Tyson did. So the burning question is if cable television, pay per view and the media were the same in the era of George Foreman in his prime wouldn't he be ranked the best boxer of all time up to now? Seriously before you pop off your answer look at George Foreman's record. It's astonishing.

  • Is there a sleep doctor in the house?? HELP!! Serious Insomnia problems?

I've had a problem sleeping for about 20 years now. When i first told my doc about it he gave me xanax which actually worked quite well. Around the end of last year my doc said xanax can be addictive to which i replied "no kidding?" Anyway i guess the DEA is giving doctors grief over writing scripts for xanax so no more xanax for me. I was taking 2mg dose at bedtime when i was taken off of xanax. I also had been using diphenhydramine to supplement the xanax for the last 10 years because it was my understanding that 2mg of xanax is the maximum size dose one should take. Well now i can't get a good night's sleep for nothing. Now once i'm asleep i typically sleep pretty well but getting to sleep is where my biggest problem lies.

I still take 125mg of the generic benadryl or else i don't think i could ever get to sleep. The big problem though is some nights when i lay down to go to sleep my arms and legs feel all restless kinda like i was taking some sort of stimulant and my head feels all itchy like something is crawling on my head. Also i can't seem to turn off my brain from thinking about anything and everything. Like i said previously i don't usually have a problem staying asleep once i am asleep, it's getting my brain shut off and getting to sleep that's the problem.

So ultimately it would be nice if i could get to sleep without any assistance from drugs and get a good night's rest. So HELP ME please if there's a doctor in the house. One more thing that is a little peculiar that might help you in sorting this out. Sometimes when i just can't get to sleep no matter what i try i resort to my last resort. For some reason hot chocolate will knock me out like a tranquilizer dart. I know that doesn't make sense since it has sugar and caffeine in it but that's what it does to me. Any help would be so appreciated you don't even know!

  • In the spirit of Holy Week and Easter do you think the early characters of the bible really lived 800 years ?

So do you think the early characters in the bible really lived to be 800 to 900 years old? And for clarification what i mean is 800 or 900 years as we know a year to be? I guess this should actually be a poll because i'm sure opinions will vary, but i could be wrong as someone might have some insight that i've never heard nor read before.

And you atheist can just keep your opinions to yourself thank you very much!

I don't need to be harrassed by your opinions on matters that don't concern you.
