  • Is it possible to get 'roofied' and not pass out immediately?

I went out last night to celebrate a friend's college graduation. I had a HUGE dinner (it was delicious) with one glass of wine and a glass of champagne. After dinner, we went to two bars to continue our celebration. I drank water for 75% of the night. Toward the end a guy wanted to buy me a shot. He is a bartender, but was off that night. He called over his bartender friend and told him to make us two shots. After that, I had a beer and more water, and my friends drove me home. I was up for another two hours talking with my roommate, who said I continued to act increasingly drunk even though I was finished drinking. I do not remember speaking to her or passing out on the couch. I woke up 11 hours later feeling the absolute worst hangover and nausea of my life. I was also exhausted and went back to sleep. Every time I woke up I felt sick and tried to vommit, then went back to sleep. This continued until 9 p.m. the next day.

I suppose I am worried because, with my tolerance, this kind of drinking would typically in no way cause me to be hungover the next day... much less feeling like death and with no memory. I am also concerned because I never take drinks I don't watch the bartender make, but this guy knew the bartender and I'm worried I fell victim to some sick scheme. Thank goodness our group of friends always takes care of each other.

My question is this: do you think I could have been given some kind of drug (e.g., rohypnol, GHB, ketamine) or do you think I just had some random drunk experience? It is a very strange and creepy feeling that I can't really explain: I've just never felt like this before.

  • Landlord/Tenant Rights?

As a landlord... if I include a clause in the lease that states I am allowed to terminate the lease for any reason providing 30 days notice to tenant... does this mean that the tenant automatically has the same right (to terminate the lease with 30 days notice to me?) I'd like to be able to protect myself in case the tenant is a total monster because I also inhabit the unit, but I don't want a tenant to be able to leave whenever. I am aware that this is technically a double standard, and am asking about the legality of the situation. Any help would be appreciated!

  • Potential dry socket after wisdom tooth extraction. Please help!?

I got all four wisdom teeth extracted Thursday morning. Yesterday evening (Friday), I ate macoroni and cheese and afterward, thought I had a piece of noodle stuck in one of the extraction holeson the bottom. It was literally driving me crazy, so I went to the bathroom and saw something white poking out of the hole and pulled it out (Stupid of me, I know. Please don't rub it in). Anyway, the think I pulled out didn't seem to be of the same consistency of a noodle... It was tougher and kind of rubbery feeling. After freaking out and, of course, Googling, I discovered this white stuff could be fibrin? It's been almost 24 hours since I removed the white object in question (It's now Saturday evening), and it doesn't hurt terribly bad except when I drink and rinse with saltwater. I'm so worried I am going to develop a dry socket now. Does anyone have any idea if it's possible to pull out white stuff without actually removing the blood clot? Also, what are my chances of developing dry socket now?

P.S. Please don't tell me to contact my dentist, because I've already tried to do that. He is on vacation and will not return my calls!

  • Prettiest in picture (for research not vanity).?

I'm doing a project for a psychology class to show the the self-serving bias theory extends to close friends and family members when looking at pictures. (I.O.W. Your mom saying things like, "Oh sweetie you were the prettiest girl at the dance" is an example.) The dependent measure will be your responses to this picture as compared with actual family members ratings of attractiveness. Please indicate which female (from left to right) you think is the most attractive in the following picture. http://i471.photobucket.com/albums/rr75/PsychSurve...

  • Coaxial/RCA Help!!!?

Okay... I'm going to try to explain this as best as possible with my limited tv geek knowledge. : ) So I have a tv with NO coaxial hookup only RCA? (which I am told makes my tv more like a monitor). I need to hook up the tv directly to the cable from the wall (no cable box). How do I do this?!? I've tried an RF modulator but it doesn't work. I need to get the coax cable into the RCA spot without a cable box. Is there another device that will work? PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!

  • How do I connect my ilo tv to cable?!!

I get cable from the wall (no box or anything), but my dad said I cannot connect the cable directly to the ilo tv because it doesn't have that option, so I need to use an RF modulator. So I hooked that up and still have no idea how to get the cable to work. I did the auto search for channels and nothing came up. Do I need a different modulator? Please help. I have absolutely no idea what I am doing and am about to throw this tv over my balcony. = )

  • Need help with flatware. Not sure what is good, etc.?

So I need to purchase some quality flatware, but don't have a lot to spend on it. That being said, my roommate thought it would be cool to get the really inexpensive flatware from Walmart, and it rusted within one use! So now I'm going to get it myself and need someone to decode all this flatware jargon. For example what does "18/0" mean when dealing with stainless steel?

In other words, how do I know if something is quality or not worth my time?!? Thanks!!

  • What is the standard size (dimensions) of a round side table?

I am making (having my boyfriend make, actually) a round table that I can cover with a cloth and use as a side table next to the couch. Most of you probably know what kind I'm talking about. Anyway... what should the diameter be? and the height? I know I can make it however I like, but I was wondering what the basic, standard size for this type of piece is? Thanks!!!

  • IUD and BC Ring questions.?

So I'll go ahead and admit that I'm not very good at remembering to take my pill everyday. I ALWAYS use condoms as back-up because I cannot trust just one method. Anyway... It's time to start thinking about something other than the pill. Here are my questions.

Can I get an IUD without ever having a child? If not, why?

What is the effectiveness of the nuva ring that is replaced each month? What are the side effects?

I have heard many bad things about the depo shot, so I would rather refrain from that... but what about the arm implant thing I just read about? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  • Ever got caught for sneaking a cat into an apartment?

The apartment I'm moving to does not allow pets. Not even with a non-refundable deposit! They just say no. So I want to know if you or anyone you know has ever gotten caught for sneaking a cat into an apartment complex that has a no pet policy? What did they do? Did they evict you or just tell you to get rid or it?

Okay... first of all, please do not respond by telling me that I should just abide by the apartment's guidelines and leave the cat behind. I've already dealt with this moral dilemma and worked it out in my own mind. I understand that I have the option to live somewhere else, but I cannot for a variety of reasons. Anyway... I would be willing to do whatever they wanted if they would be reasonable. This is my decision and I do not need your individual judgment. So please keep it to yourself. I just want to hear from those people who, like me, have made this decision and what happened in their situations. Thanks everyone!

  • How to get medical need for a pet?

I am moving into an apartment for graduate school soon and the complex has a no pet policy unless you can get written documentation that the pet is necessary for a medical/mental health condition (as in the cat will help alleviate anxiety or depression). I have a cat and need to be able to bring him with me. I have never been to a psychologist before, though. Does anyone know how I can get a doctor's approval for me to keep my cat in the apartment? I'm not just making up an excuse... I really would go crazy and be anxious and depressed if I had to get rid of my cat.

Please answer only if you have experience or know of anyone who has gotten this done. Some of you may not understand, but this is really important to me.

  • When to take birth control pill again?

So I was taking an oral contraceptive for several months (probably around 10) and then just quit for various reasons. Anyway... I want to start taking it again. I have a new package. Shouldn't I start the pack on the first Sunday after my period? I started this past Monday so I'm thinking today... is that right? Also, will it still take about a month to start being effective since I haven't taken it in over 3 months? B.C. veterans please let me know what you know. Thanks ladies!

  • Registry virus? What is this? Please help!?

So these messages keep popping up on my screen (quite annoyingly) telling me I have critical issues with my computer and telling me to go to different websites to update or clean my computer registry (whatever that is...) It says if I don't I may have computer failure... but I don't even know if these messages are from Microsoft because they give specific and different websites.

Can someone please tell me what to do? I don't know where they came from or how to make them go away before I completely smash my computer out of rage!!!
