Okay so here's the situation. Im a college student with one 30 gallon tank at home and a 5 gallon hex at school. I was given the 30 gallon a while back along with numerous fish including some neon tetras. Now they have all died except one.

Would it be better to leave the one tetra in the 30 gallon with 2 angle fish in it. Or bring it to school and put him in my 5 gallon hex with a betta and some shrimp. The hex has a lot of love plants in it and plenty of cover. But would the tetra and betta get along?

What should I do? I really have no intrest in getting any additional neon tetras but I feel bad for the fish

So I am a student in college and I have a small semi-planted 5 gallon hex tank that has a beta and two ghost shrimp in it. Last night my roommate had some friends over and long story short one of them decided to pour beer into my fish tank. I wasnt there at the time and just found out about it this morning. Im not sure how much beer was poured into the tank (by the looks and smell of it a lot) but what do I do?

My two shrimp didnt make it but my beta is still alive. I instantly took him out, put him in a jar, and have been doing small water changed ever 20 minutes or so trying to get him clean water. I did about a 50% water change but my tank is still very cloudy and smells. What should I do? Are the plants okay? Is it okay to put the beta back in even if the water is a little cloudy?

So I am leaving for college soon and am planning on bringing a fish tank and would love if I were able to have it planted. I currently have a few plants in my 30 gallon (which will be staying at home) so Im not completely new to planted aquariums, but Im far from knowledgeable.

Does anyone have any advice regarding what type of plants to put in the new tank (a 10 gallon)? I dont want the tanks completely filled with plants but I do want a decent amount, and me being in college less maintenance would be better but I dont mind some (as far as planted tanks go). Since I am starting fresh it would also be nice if the pants grew relatively fast so I dont have a practically empty tank sitting in my dorm for two months.

I currently have a 10 gallon tank with a 15 watt fluorescent bulb. I have a copious amount of gravel to use as substrate and my friend told me that he give me half a bag of plant substrate (can I mix the two?) and a fluval aqua clear 30 filter (I can take out the carbon layer in the filter). Would it be worth it to get a CO2 injector? (I have the DIY one at home but the yeast and everything really isn't very practical at college and the fluvial mini is only $22). As far as fish go I was going to bring 3 neon tetras, 2 phantom tetras, a small catfish, and a ghost catfish.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what plants to plant and set up for the tank?

So Im 18 and went up to Canada on a cruise. Whole there basically I went on a pub crawl. This was my first time drinking at all and well it didnt end too well. I ended up having 20 oz of Moosehead Lager, 20 oz of Guinnes, and about 20 oz of numerous other drinks. Then I had a shot of patrone and about 30 minutes later ended up puking. I was drinking on a compleatly empty stomach, and all this happened in about 3 hours or so. When I got home I told one of my friends and they are convinced Im a lightweight. Is this true?

I'm in jazz band and I have my first solo on Friday. I play the Bass Trombone and have been for about a year now, I have a pretty good range, I can go from the high F (I can go higher but I have to really work for it) to the pedal tone Bb. Anyways does anyone have any tips of cool things that I can do or experience of what works and doesn't work?

For school I am writing an essay on how money should be put towards HIV/AIDS. I was wondering what other peoples takes on this where. The three options that you have to choose are below. 1) Put the money towards AIDS orphans

2) Try to develop an over the counter generic drug that will cure AIDS

I am a boy scout and at my next meeting I am supposed to teach the troop ways to tell what time it is without using a watch. I was wondering if anyone knew any cool or interesting ways to do this.
