I decided upon corsets and compared them to the little constrictive conundrums of everyday life....Somewhat of a rush through but it's a start.

Constriction

Steel-boned and laced up, I am set for the day.

My opinions held back. My manners in place.

Tell me what you think and expect me to believe it.

Tell me what to say in return, I mustn’t sound ungrateful.

Bind me in your beliefs because I can’t disprove you.

The strings pull tighter.

Blinded with your bigotry you blather on.

Why stop you? I of course am wrong.

My lips must stay motionless – otherwise I may face critique.

I have never seen so much passion in such a terrible notion.

Maybe I am mistaken.

I can now feel the metal imprinting my torso.

I stand, blankly and apathetic.

You stand, spouting things that are ridiculous.

Why can’t you see what I see?

My breathing shallows and weakness comes.

Yet signs go unnoticed.

Keep forcing your view until it is behind my skull.

Make me what I am supposed to be.

Surely you must know what that is more so than I.

I am to trust you – It’s just how it is.

I happened to catch a documentary about it and found it to be very interesting. It conflicted a lot with the other gospels that were chosen to be pubished...so I just thought about asking opinions on it.

I'm going to have a lot of free time now so I decided to print and put together a little book for my amusement. I thought of titling it Constriction and putting short poems and diary entries of mine together in it that deal with my ideals and frustrations...is this something that would appeal to a few readers or do you think it is silly?

An example of the diary entries :

Those who say the world is what you make it are living in a delusion. How can my perception make my surroundings and circumstances any better? Of course, I can tell myself they are indeed fine but that does not change reality. I do wish they were correct in their thinking, though. The frustration that comes with the knowledge I cannot alter what I live in is almost unbearable! I am told that I can do whatever I like if I ‘put my mind to it’, but in the same breath I am told the restrictions of what I have the ability to do and am given directions on how to accomplish what I want.

I just need background songs that can either be upbeat or slow and meaningful...doesn't matter really. They don't have to, but I'd like for them to be about how much fun there is in the world or how important friends are...

Any song suggestions are appreciated :D

I've always been a fan of Animal Crossing, but without my wii being connected to the internet ( i live in nowhere w/ dial up ) the new City Folk doesn't seem all that new/exciting.

What's a relatively recent wii game that'll keep me entertained during the winter months?

Do you think our society is concerned with consequences of their actions and/or the embarassment of being caught disobeying a rule?

Or do most just not care about the later and think about the now? I am curious to know what makes us justify what we do and what we choose not to do. How do you personally make decisions?

I'm in the process of making a two-year documentary for a school project and I plan on asking random passers-by questions pertaining to aspects of culture.

Any ideas on what things I could ask about? I was considering asking what exactly defines our culture from any other or are all cultures made around the same elements...

Perhaps I should do an observational documentary, but I haven't any ideas for that yet.

Please, any contributions would be helpful and I'm willing to change my entire idea comopletely :)

I have two years to complete my senior project and I wanted a subject matter dealing with people of some sort and I was thinking of asking random people about their thoughts on morals and how they are obtained. I love psychology and am planning to get into anthropology.

My friend needs a slogan for his poster and it doesn't really matter if it rhymes or not. He's known as a horribly blunt, neo nazi type of guy lol. You could incorporate his first or last name, Tyler Arnold.

I'm 15 and our school has a disney day. I was thinking of going as Ursula, but creating the tentacles may be a little difficult.

I was also thinking as going as a disney animal/creature/monster or something, but i don't know many of the disney characters besides the overused princesses.

I have a lot of black and white material, black,white,red,and pink fur, and just about anything at all really. Please help me to think of something totally creative ?

I was reading an article about how both are flaws in wording.

Counter example: A man needing to lose weight for health purposes. He does not want food offered to him because he's on a diet. Because of this 'rule' he should not offer food to others, even a starving man..

Now some will argue that the rule means what you should do if you were in the mindset as the other like the starving man. If you were hungry, you'd want food, right? But what if you were a crazed driver? you would not want to be stopped if you wanted to rampage through the city, so does that mean no one should stop you?

I'm only doing this for fun and just to see what counterexamples of this rule you can come up with :)

i'd like to write a play over the course of the next 2 years possibly for my senior project, but i can't seem to find the perfect plot idea. it doesn't matter what time period or genre, but please, only original ideas! and what would you prefer watching as a teenager? Thanks :)

The first is just a simple charcoal tee w/ vest, the second is a black silky like jacket and burgundy top n the shoes match the zebra print lining in the jacket, and the third is my favourite tee w/ some pearls and bright pink sandals. :D thanks for posting !

So I'm going to be getting dressed up sometime to watch a production of The Wizard of Oz and I already have most of my outfit planned for the night but I thought it'd be kinda cute to add ruby-red shoes to wear w/ it. I'd prefer a rounded, closed toe with a heel but if the shoes are cute i'd make exceptions like wearing flats. I found one pair of flats I kind of like for $15, so I don't really want to spend more than 20 on them. Thanks :)

my hair doesn't hold curl at all but i like wearing those really tight baby curls in it and i can't find another curling iron that actually curls my hair except for reallly expensive ones and i'm not willing to pay 70 dollars for it. i've tried the sprays and stuff to help it curl, but it's just my iron that sucks. any good brands/types that give those tiny tight curls?

i'd like to sing any of their acoustic versions of their songs but i can't find any sites to download any karoake versions. does someone have a link or a program that could remove/turn down the vocals? any help would be much appreciated :)
