My husband was considering a trip to Costa Rica to stay at the Funkey Monkey. Anyone know anything about it? I know the rooms are open which makes me nervous. I usually sleep with all the windows and doors locked and an alarm on. The thought of sleeping in a foreign place without the protection of walls makes me a bit leery. Any advice?

My husband insists that a few years ago Drew Carey was arrested for trying to pick up a prostitute. I searched but cannot find anything. Even smokingun.com doesn't have anything bad on him. Soo..is it true or no?

Has anyone used Bare Minerals makeup without using their super ridiculous expensive brushes? I bought some today but it totaled $200 which is just too much. If I take the kits back and just get the makeup, its only about half that. Does it work as well without using their brushes?

I swear, I'm meeting more and more peope who think eating a potato is like ingesting poison. I don't see where this fear comes from. Now, personally I don't eat them all the time and I do eat whole grains instead of while, but sheesh, they aren't deadly for goodness sake. If you are one of these people who won't touch rice, bread, or a potato...can you explain why?

I myself am not a vegetarian though it has been a consideration. I find the low carbing crowd things of their way of eating as the end all, be all of nutrition. We're talking people who are afraid of oatmeal and consider pasta of the devil. How do you address these ideas? How do you talk to people who really believe that their diet is the best and other diets are dangerous?

My husband and I dated for 5 years prior to getting married and have been married nearly two years. I've had a lot of health problems since the beginning that have only gotten worse. I'm to the point where I can't keep a job. Before our wedding, I gave him every opportunity to walk away if my health and the prospect of supporting me was too much for him. He insisted he wanted to get married anyway. So, here we are. I'm a housewife who really tries to take care of him and our home. But I think he's a little bit bitter. On one hand he knows I'm miserable and he's always worried...but on the other hand he wishes I had a career and was bringing in a good salary too. He makes comments that are hurtful and make me feel guilty and useless. What can I do to make him feel less bitter? Anything? Or is it just his problem that I can't solve?

In July I have a business type of deal to go to in Beverly Hills with my husband. He's invested in a very small production company and they are opening up a new division and want us there. I'm having fashion issues. He wants me to wear a dress but I can't find anything he likes. He's picky and never likes anything remotely trendy or in style (he likes me in jeans and t-shirts). I'm 4'9" and overweight. I only wear a size 1 in childrens. So..obviously shopping is a freakin nightmare. Would you wear a sexy dress? Conservative dress? Suit? Nice pants and a pretty blouse?

They told him he could wear a suit or business casual, if that helps you get an idea of what the men will be wearing.

I bought a nice, black, belted type dress and I really need some shoes. I wear children's shoes so I can't find anything. I've found these in a size 4 but I'm not sure they would look okay. Would these be okay with something nice or only a very casual dress?

Even though the wife had not shown any symptoms, would you prefer they stay away from you and would you avoid going to their home? I have one friend who would prefer I don't come around for a while but I'm not sure how other people feel about it.

Do you feel the American Dream has changed in the last 50 years? Why do you think its changed?
