Need name of this pc game! Had sequels.?
I used to play this game and its sequels when I was a kid now I can't remember the name! Older PC game. Had a few sequels. Point and click game. Could pick your class. Like magic or fighter. First game, could practice dagger throwing. Could pick locks on houses when you join underground guild. There was some centaurs. I think one sold apples. If you ate mushrooms it would make the screen go all "groovy". In a sequel, there were catlike people living in a jungle in houses in the trees. You could sell items at different prices. I know that's not much to go on. Any suggestions?? Thanks!
1 AnswerPC9 years agoFor people who are strictly loyal to their religions?
If you are strictly loyal to your religion, have you ever researched any other religions? Or do you not out of fear of punishment from your God? Most people, when making a logical decesion that will effect the rest of their lives, will research all avenues/choices possible. You don't just buy the first car that a salesperson points out to you. You look at lots of cars. Maybe research online. You test drive different cars. You compare cars. Then, when you are ready you make your decesion based on comparison. You KNOW the car you buy is the one. So, shouldn't religion be the same? I mean, your whole life is controlled by what you believe. Maybe even your afterlife. What if you chose the wrong relgion because that is what you were taught to believe in? I just want to know how many people have based their faith on faith alone. And who have actually, in dept, researched other religions and indeed decided that they were not for them.
25 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoHow many of you that are parents would torture your children for the rest of their lives if they didn't obey u
I for one, could NEVER torture my child. Even if he commited heinous acts, I could not torture him because I love him so much. I would punish him. But torture? Many parents feel this way. Our love for our children is stronger than anything. But according to the Bible, God will torture his children with the eternal fire if they are sinners, etc. So, how is it that human mothers are more compassionate than a God? Does that make humans better than Gods? Is our love stronger than a God's?
Don't hate on me. I believe in a creator. I'm just asking a question.
20 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoKinda long please read. Question about making abortion ILLEGAL and its affects on our society?
I really don't want to hear whether you think it is right or wrong. I want to hear logical explanations as to how you think making it ILLEGAL would work and what it would do to our society. Here are my thoughts:
If the government/states made it law that a embryo/fetus is a person from conception and that they had rights, it would cause many problems. Insurance is a big example. If a embryo/fetus is made a person by law, then that means that people should be able to take out life insurance on them. Can you imagine a million women taking life insurance on their babies and a decent percent either miscarrying, delivering the baby premature and it dies, stillbirth, etc. (common things) This is not logical and EVERYONE who had insurance would see their payments skyrocket to help even out how much the insurance companies would have to pay to thousands of women who lost their babies. Many people then could not afford insurance. So you would see an increase of sick children/adults not getting treatment.
There are about 1.3 million abortions performed every year in the United States. (about 46 million Worlwide) How would having these children impact society? Well, lets think about WHO has abortions. Women who can not afford children or are not financially stable, teen girls and women who are not mature enough, people who see their relationship with the father as unstable, women who worry about work loss, women who are worried about health issues and rape victims. Already it can be assumed that women who can't afford the child are going to be more likely to give that child up for adoption or are going to use government and state programs such as food stamps, Medicaid and Wellfare. So, our society would see an increase of state/fedral taxes to help pay for these programs. (Social Security is another program that would be impacted) Children who are not adopted will end up in care of the State or in foster home after foster home. (Please don't tell me they will get adopted. There are not 1.3 million people wanting to adopt children in the United States!!! Roughly 127,000 adoptions take place in the United States every year and there are still many many more children still waiting for homes) Another point to make is that unwanted children are more likely to be abused, neglected, abandoned, etc. So, that is another compounded problem because the woman was not allowed to abort.
If it becomes illegal, how will women and doctors be punished if they get/perform one? And how far will the rights of the unborn child go, since it is considered a person, an underage one at that? If you see a woman smoking and she is obviously pregnant, could she be punished? The child is under 18 and is being fed the effects of cigarettes against it's will!!! What about the woman who drinks an occasional wine? She is giving a minor alcohol!!! What about women who take prescription medicine which has not been proved in long term studies to be safe to a embryo/fetus? What about the woman who eats a ton of fish for every meal every day....the mercury exposure!!! What about the woman who didn't eat right, didn't go to the doctor for prenatal care and didn't practice safe things such as wearing a seat belt. Is that child endangerment/neglect? What about the woman who takes illegal drugs? She is giving drugs to a minor via the umbilical cord!!! The list goes on and on. There are so many things which are harmful to an unborn child and risk it's safety. And many others where the law would take action against an adult if the child were already born. Where would our society draw the line?
Those were just three of many issues on making abortion ILLEGAL. There are many unforseen problems that would arise. On a personal note, I do believe that abortion is wrong. I have a child and could not imagine getting rid of him while he was still in utero. (or after!) But in my opinion the impact on our society and the children themselves would be even more devestating than the abortion act itself. It would take years for the United States to recover from the sudden births of so many babies. Imagine once the law passed to make it illegal....around 1.3 million extra babies born in a years time. That's 1.3 UNWANTED babies. Think about that. How would it impact our society? Please give me REAL answers/opinions because this is a real question.
4 AnswersOther - Society & Culture1 decade ago4/5 = 0.8? Fractions to decimals?
Changing fractions to decimals.... How is the answer 0.8 gotten from 4/5? This thing I am looking at says divide the numerator by denominator. So, 4 divided by 5 is 0.8 on the calculator. But where does the 8 come from? I need to know how to do it without a calculator. I need it explained in detail.
16 AnswersMathematics1 decade agoHow do I transition an outside kitten to apartment life and using the litter box?
I'm bringing a 10-12 week old kitten to my apartment tomorrow. It has lived on a farm and has never been inside a house. She will be an inside cat now. Will she use the litter box right away? Or will she poo/pee anywhere? Also, we will be keeping the box hidden away in a pantry on the floor. But for a few nights I would like to keep her from roaming the apartment freely because I don't want her to poo/pee on the carpet while I sleep. Would it be ok to lock her in the bathroom with the litter box at night, and in the morning put the litter box back in the pantry? Or will this confuse her as to where to go to the bathroom? Any suggestions would be helpful, thanks.
6 AnswersCats1 decade agoDid my toddler have Night Terrors?
This has only happened 2 nights while on vacation, one night at my fathers house and one night at my house. Here is what he did: Woke up screaming, crying, grunting, he was all red and his head would jerk each time he took in a breath. I tried to hold him to comfort him and he just kept crying and screaming. He would push me away with his arms. After a while he would open his eyes, kind of calm down, then do it again for a while. I could not calm him down. Eventually he opened his eyes and calmed down on his own and was really quiet for a while. Is this what children do when they wake from a Night Terror? On all of the nights where he woke up like this, he had not sleep his usual amount from naps.
4 AnswersToddler & Preschooler1 decade ago1 year old gags and spits up when eating solids?
My son will be one year old this month. Whenever I give him a solid of any type, (I always make the pieces super small) half of the time he gags and spits up. He doesnt know how to chew at all yet. He is also just finally cutting four front teeth. I have been offering solids since he was 9 months old and he still cant eat them. He is always eager to eat solids, such as things off of my plate. He is always trying to get my food. He wont eat stage 3 baby foods, he has to eat "real" food if it is going to be solid. Anyone else had/have this problem? How long did it take your child to eat solids without gaging?

3 AnswersZoology1 decade agoFor people familiar with Myers-Briggs temperaments, is this a good job for an ISTJ?
I am an ISTJ. I am wanting to start my own home business. I would like to start a "baby proofing" business in which I go to homes and inspect them for safety in regards to a baby. Then I would install products to keep their baby safe. Or I would sell them products that they could install themselves. Seeing how I am considered an "inspector" in the ISTJ sense, I think this job matches the qualities of an inspector which are: appraiser, assessor, auditor, checker, examiner, evaluator, judge, measurer, surveyor, tester, and weigher. Do you think this job is suited for an ISTJ?
4 AnswersPsychology1 decade agoFor women who tried to breastfeed shortly or could not breastfeed...?
I breastfed my son for 2 months. Then my milk supply rapidly decreased when I returned to work even though I was pumping every 2-3 hours. It was obvioulsy not enough to feed my son so I suppliment with formula. After 2 weeks back at work I had no milk at all. Seeing all of the people and ads and everything else say "Breast is Best" and that women shouldn't formula feed, this makes me feel incredibly inadequate. I feel like I could not even feed my son if it were not for formula. I want to know how other women feel that could not breast feed or had to stop breastfeeding for some reason. When you know you did the right thing by feeding formula, do you still feel bad because you could not breast feed? And do you think the women who hound us saying that we should have breast fed know that we may feel bad about it? How do you feel about them?
16 AnswersNewborn & Baby1 decade agoWhich Stage 3 baby foods are the least chunky, the thickest, and easiest to transition with?
I am looking for Stage 3 baby foods that have the smallest chunks in them or are very thick. I know a few brands have very large chunks in them or long noodles that don't seem appropriate for a baby just trying to adjust to chunkier foods. For people that have tried different brands of baby foods, which one seemed to make a smooth transition from Stage 2 to Stage 3? Any description of the foods, brands, flavors, etc would be helpful. Here is a list of some baby food brands that I know of: Beech Nut, Earths Best, Gerber, Del Monte (Natures Goodness), Heinz.
