I just purchased a pair of Hunters at Harrods. After wearing them once, I noticed the rubber was coming off the boots. I was able to return my wellies, but I'm wondering if it is worth buying another pair. Also if you have ever owned Hunters, please let me know how long they have lasted you and the quality. Thanks!

I am a very well rounded student. I play 3 sports, captain of ski team, president of model congress, captain of glee club, I get a lot of solos in band and chorus and I hope to make all state this year. I am also the speaker of my class and I do a lot of community service, including a 40 hour a week volunteer acting job in the summer and a job as a ski instructor in the winter. However, I don't have the greatest SAT scores. I got a 1500, but I took the ACTs and I felt like I did much better on them. Also, I have a 3.9 GPA, but during my sophomore year I had depression and I got mostly C's and B's. During my freshman, junior and part of my senior year I have gotten straight As and I am taking a lot of AP classes. What are my chances of getting into the following colleges?

The common app asks where your parents and sibling attend school. My older brother just transferred to Columbia, do I put that down as his college or his previous school, because it asks the years of attendance.

I'm just afraid of getting dry sockets, so I know i'm not suppose to eat things with seeds or peels or anything that can get stuck. I can chew with my front teeth and m.olars, I'm just not sure if I can drink soda or begin eating normal food. I'm probably going to throw up if i eat any more ice cream or mashed potatoes.

For the most part i'm a straight A student, with one or two occasional B's. I'm probably the most well rounded student at my school.

However I'm the worse test taker ever. I got a 1500 on the SAT's my older brother and parents tell me that I'm not going to get accepted anywhere, which has made me sad. Is there hope?

Tri-Varsity athlete, along with captain of the Ski Team and Glee cub I do debate team, model congress, model un, I'm in band, chorus, secretary of National Honors Society, glee club and I've volunteers the past 6 summers at a local theater for 40 hours week, along with babysitting an autistic kid and teaching ski lessons in the winter and lastly, I'm the voice of my school ( I do the morning announcements and make speeches at assemblies and graduation next year).

So my family got an exchange student a few months ago. She is very anti-social, she comes home from school and sits in her room and stays on her computer until she is called down for dinner. This is especially hard for me because I share a room with her, and several times she locks the door, forcing me to sleep in a different room. Above this, she is very promiscuous. I accept that she has a sex life, but the manner in how she participates in it shows her low morality, (One night stands, sleeping around and having threesomes.) I try several times to confront my parents about the situation, but the exchange student is very manipulative, to an extent where she lies so much that my parents blame me for all of her indiscretions. She is staying for 3 months and I cannot take it anymore. I want her to move out, she is taking over my room and making my parents believe everything she says, disregarding whatever i tell them. What should i do? I've tried talking to my parents but nothing will work! Do i need to contact her exchange program or do something drastic so my parents realize who this girl really is.

Prom is less then a month away, but i just got dumped by my bf. Everyone at my school has a date, so finding one is quite hopeless, especially because i dont have that many guy friends. I'm debating whether i still want to go to prom. I dont want to be alone during all of the slow songs because all of my friends have boyfriends, but i dont want to miss my only prom.

SO i am really involved in debate club at school. In feb, I am going to a model congress trip with my school, but now my mom won't let me go because i got a B+ and a B on my report card, while the rest of my grades are all A's. Its f*cking ridiculous how strict she's being, especially because i already paid for half of the trip with my own money. Anyway to perused my mom that a B isnt that bad of a grade. I'm still a high honers student....

I got a new computer and I set up itunes, but all of my old music and videos I downloaded on my old computer are not showing up on the my itunes, even tho I am logged in. How do I get my old videos and music back, without paying for them again?

My computer will not turned on, even when it is charged and the battery is in it. I have also tried turning on my laptop plugged in, without a battery, and it still doesn't turn on. What's wrong with it? I've had it for about 3 years and its an HP business laptop that I bough through my school.

I have had my license for about 4 months, and I am not allowed to drive more then one non relate family member until I get my license for 6 months. The only problem is that my family has a foreign exchange student, so can I legally drive her and someone who is not related to me? Seeing that my family is her guardian for the time that she is in the US/

I really like the knitted beret hats, but I can't find a pattern that has good directions. I can knit and purl, but that's about it. I'm a quick learner, so if someone can give me a cute pattern with clear directions I would be very thankful!

I am a high school participant in Yale Model Congress. This year, I am in the ethics committee. I am not sure what bill I should submit....I wrote one about drunk driving, but I'm not sure if it fits well into the "ethics' category. Do you have any suggestion on what issue I should discuss in my bill, if the drunk driving one is not appropriate?
