Hey I've been trying to find out the best bit for my horse. He is a 24-25 year old cross. He direct reins and was trained very little by use of leg which is odd and I wish the people who trained him trained him to respond to leg more. All he responds to with leg is to go and get faster....all turns are out of seat and reins. We do gaming and what not so barrel racing, poles, etc. As I said before he only direct reins.

He came to me with a Tom Thumb but I HATE those bits. So I had originally switched him to a grazing bit(not my decision) and he was okay with that but not great(plus I didn't like it). Tried a bit-less side-pull and had NO brakes whatsoever. Tried a training bit and I didn't like it for him and it kept slipping through his mouth =(. Tried a full cheek snaffle LOVED it BUT had no brakes. So now I have him in a hackamore and I'm "okay" with it but I wish I had something without shanks as he direct reins and I don't like the thought that I am putting a tremendous amount of pressure on his nose or mouth even when I pull just a little since it's amplified. Does anyone have any idea what type of bit to use or if there is any way for me to get brakes with a full cheek or even a D-ring snaffle?

Also to add he has no back teeth on the bottom and this year he is in semi-retirement which means I am allowing him to run at his own pace I'm not pushing him at all but he seems to want to go so I'll definitely need something with enough control.

In my dance class for school I have to turn my ballet routine into something modern/ugly/weird/loose (totally out of character for me but gotta do it.) there was a song we were using in class I like but I don't know the name it has A LOT of crackiling in the beginning and a woman with a crackly voice saying some things if anyone knows this song please let me know. But also what are some other songs that are good to use for modern dance? Also how would one "dance big" my teacher says I don't dance big so it's going to affect my grade if I don't fix that before finals. Thanks so much in advance.

Basically just this......I have a very nice video on youtube (seriously it's just about my horse...not offensive in any way.) well someone thumbs downed it....this upset me a bit so I commented on my video and was like "Really you're going to thumbs down a video that's not hurting anybody?" and then sure enough an hour or so later ANOTHER thumbs down....psh people P!$$ me off sometimes =( ok rant over.

Ok so I have been with my barn(private barn) for 5 yrs but now I feel as though I have overstayed my welcome. I have an offer at my friends house to move him to and it's a great place. At the place I'm at now they aren't feeding my horse the feed I bought him and so he is not gaining weight(he needs sweet feed because he's older(23yrs), ribby. and has no bottom teeth in the back.) Also I want to blanket him this winter because he doesn't have enough fat to keep him warm and my BO now said don't bother buying one cause we wont put it on him. Also they leave him alone outside when it snows or gets cold and rainy while the other horses come in.AND this is the big one she punched him in the neck for shifting his weight to watch me walk over to him while we were in the barn. I telling them tonight but I don't know how to do it. I am scared of this woman and I feel like she would freak out and yell at me for this. Also the place I'm moving him to are my BO's friends also but they are going to do everything for Phantom that he needs when he moves there. He's gonna get fed good feed, brought in when it's icky out and blanketed this winter and so much more attention. They really care for their animals where I'm moving him. But I am really scared of telling my current BO she is the type of person who would take this out on me and my horse also keep in mind that I will see her at shows down the road.

I need this advice before 4pm tonight so please please please I need suggestions I am practically making myself sick over this I am so scared.

where can I find free downloadable horse videos that would work with windows? Can be english or western videos but western is prefered.

My horse is about a 36-38 western girth what size would he be in english??

Im a senior in High School and I want to know of ANY colleges in New Jersey where I can bring my horse. I cannot sell him he has gotten me through sooo much in my life and I love him to death. I already know about Centenary College but that's 2 hours away and I like Rutgers New Brunswick but I don't know if you can bring your horse. Also if there are some good colleges that have nice (and cheap) barns around them to board that would be cool too.

My teacher wrote a book with her best friend and she wont tell us what it is for fear of being judged by it but i managed to get a few things out of her. Does anyone know a book that was published in 2008, it has two authors one male one female(they are pen names hense why i dont know already) the authors are from NJ, a mostly black cover, and it is fiction. And it has basically two main main characters one with a unique name and one with an average name .it is about teenagers and relationship problems. ugh she wont give me any more. If you have any ideas or have better luck researching can you give me an idea maybe.

Okay so please DO NOT REEM ME OUT. This is not my fault. Okay so my dog and her brother live at my uncle's house together and they are both not fixed BUT i have been telling them to get the dogs fixed since they were both 6months old they refused to listen and this is what happened. We think she is pregnant. What are some signs that a dog is pregnant and if it helps she is a Chinese Shar Pei.
