Hi, my name is Roma, I like coming on Y!a to answer and seeing what people are asking, and trying to answer. I am disabled, so will try to answer questions in the disabled section, I answer in the Pets sections, on the odd occasions makeup section. I've recently got into cooking so will ask questions there.

  • Should I be angry with my family and have they discriminated against me?

I am in a wheelchair, and can't stand so I can't really move myself, I can't dress myself or use the toilet by myself, but I can feed myself. I feel that people are leaving out because of this, they don't actually do it to be deliberately mean, but it can hurt.

I live in Northern Ireland and my uncle is home from Arizona, America and was taking some cousins (I have a large extended family) down to Dublin on the train. Nobody invited me or even told me about it, my Dad found out about it by accident.

I was furious at first because my best friend who is also my cousin, was invited, I really trust her at least I did. I asked her straight out about it, she told me and she knew I was cross but I eventually calmed down. They went to Dublin this week and my uncle was round for dinner last night.

My parents are really angry and hurt about it because they thought that my uncle would at least say to them, but he didn't.

What I'm trying to ask, is should I be angry because I am really confused and kinda angry.

  • I need help getting my Sims 3 game to update itself?

Hi! I've been downloading things for my Sims 3 game, I've got the Sims 3 and World Adventures, but when I try to install them onto the game, it says my version is not up-to-date. Although when I check it says the verison is up-to-date, is this a problem on the Macs?

    Merry Christmas!!

  • I'm looking for a nice clothing for a very small teenage girl?

Hi, my name is Roma, I'm seventeen but I'm not as tall as a ten year, my breasts have developed, so it makes buying suitable clothes a nightmare. I like wearing jeans but my hips have now widened and I can't walk so it needs to be easy for practical stuff like sitting and using the toilet. I like Gaps Clothes and want to go into a H&M but I really fight with my Mum when we go clothes shopping. I live in Northern Ireland just outside of Belfast and was wondering if there was anywhere to get nice clothes nearby? If you are for instance an OT or whatever, can you put it down and and if you can give me a link to see what the clothes look like?

    Thanks,

    Roma

  • I'm looking for a good digital camera for a disabled teenage girl?

Hi, I'm a disabled girl, I'm thinking of asking for a digital camera for my birthday (October 15th), I'm small so not very strong, I would need a light one. My hands can shake if I'm holding something so it would need to focus in on peoples faces and perhaps minimise blurriness. I'm fairly technical minded, so it wouldn't matter so much how many buttons are on it. The camera shutter button wouldn't have to be easy to press, and even be able to use it if my hands are freezing cold.

BTW if you want to know my favorite colour is pink.

Oh, um I live in Lisburn, N. Ireland and use www.amazon.co.uk

Any answers would be very much appreciated

  • Can a dog be house-trained in one house but not in another?

We went on holiday about a month ago, my Nanny looked after our dog when we were away, she managed to train the dog over there. Although the dog is still wetting herself in our house. We have had her almost a year (November) and as you can imagine Dad is getting annoyed cleaning up her pee, so is Mum actually. Its got so bad and I am starting to wonder if she has some kind bladder problem. Can someone answer this for me?

  • Is there any way I can minimise pain darning my period?

I have only ever had two periods before, so I'm still a bit new to it all? The blood loss is really significant, it actually can scare me a bit how much blood I actually lose during the one week of pain where I can hate anything that moves! My lower back, guess thats the cramps, is really sore, I can't sit up up when I'm having my periods. I'm very small and have Morquio, I've had three corrective spinal operations, so needless to say I'm worried about it. My question is, this pain and of course the whole experience can get really bad and I wind up by lashing out at people, is there any thing I can eat or do to make the pain more manageable? Please answer this

  • Can soldiers who have fought in conflict areas ever go back for a simple holiday with their families?

For example, can a solider who has fought in Northern Ireland and seen several comrades die there, would they go back for a holiday, with their family? Even though the violence has for the most part died down, would it be considered evoking sad memories or would it be alright? If you are a solider yourself or know of an active solider could you or they ever go back to where they have thought?

  • Yet more MacBook questions... the bulk of them I've asked though?

I'm thinking of getting a macbook, not a pro the macbook. Anyway I'm still in school, I'm sixteen but am very small (under a metre last year haven't been measured since) and I'm in a wheelchair, I was wondering if I actually go down to the Apple Store in Belfast, will they believe I'm a student, because I am and I'd like to get the student discount on the laptop if possible, would I need to show them anything to prove I'm a student, or would they believe me, if you work there can you answer that?

Because I'm still at school, I type everything, I don't write fast, I would need to use a flash drive/memory stick, is there any way you can save documents without having to use the Windows thing?

Does the Windows thing cost extra or is that another one of those wee add on things you get with the laptop.

If it helps I live in NI?

With the Itunes thing, I had it on my other laptop and bought a few songs and got a giftcard a while ago and haven't spent it all yet, would it transfer over or would I need to take it down to the store, also if I did need to bring it down, what would I need to bring and how long would it take?

What wire is it that you can't plug into the macbook, just in case I would need it because if I did then that would change everything.

Can I watch DVDs on it?

    Please answer these

As a matter of interest, could I watch BBC iPlayer and 4OD?

  • Can I play the new Sims 3 games on an Apple Macbook laptop?

I'm getting one of the Mac book laptops, the small one but not the air one. Anyway, I've placed a pre-order on the Sims 3 games for some months now, it'll be the PC version, will I be able to run it on the Macbook?

  • Some questions about Apple laptops?

Okay, so I'm thinking of getting an Apple laptop, except I need somebody to explain it me, why can't the website say it in Normal English and not not bamboozle me?

I'd need one where I could put memory pens in, discs in, play the sims games (I love those games), probably sims3, chat with people one, upload a masive Itunes library, put my photoshop on unless you get photoshop on it already. I would have a lot of documents and would be using it for school, since I'm going into sixth form, hopefully, it would need to be light. It would need to be fast, so I could keep up in class.

Do they have an intergrated webcam on them?

Can I download MSN to it?

Would it be able to run windows programs on it, in case I can't work the apple ones, though probably could?

Do they come with a feature like Windows Movie Maker?

This might sound silly but do they come in a range of colours.

I live in the UK, it says on the website that students can get discounts but could I order from my Dad's account, telling them at checkout that I'm, the person recieving the laptop is a student, does the discount make a huge difference to the price. As in what you get stays the same but the price comes down?

Or would I be better going into an Apple Store?

I'm not good at opening them up and fixing anything so bear that in mind when answering.

Would I have to buy a seperate mouse for it?

I would want to throw it into my current laptop bag so please bear that in mind too. Oh and it would have to be to go wireless.
